This subreddit is intended for posting your own personal tattoos, or your tattoos as a professional artist. Below are some guidelines and rules. Please direct any questions to the mod team.
WE REQUIRE:
- Artist's name (no IG names), shop name, and location in your title (no exceptions), no emojis or advertising. Keep the title clean.
- Color photos, well-lit, no watermarks, no filters, non-Instagram, properly cropped and rotated, close-up, CLEAR PICTURES. (Make sure we can SEE the tattoo)
- NSFW flags for NSFW posts.
YOUR POST WILL BE REMOVED IF IT FAILS TO MEET THE ABOVE CRITERIA.
WE ENCOURAGE:
- Posting all questions in the pinned Weekly Discussion thread. (This includes looking for artists in your area, pain discussion, tattoo placement.)
- Using the search function before posting any questions.
- Using imgur to post your pictures.
- Constructive criticism, discussion, and debate.
- Posting pictures once your tattoo is fully healed. No blood.
WE FORBID:
- Any attacks, advances, compliments or comments made on personal appearance. Keep comments about the tattoo, not OP's body.
- Hate speech (sexuality slurs, racial slurs, religious slurs) even if you think you mean it as a "joke".
- Any questions about whether a tattoo will "work" or how to add to your tattoo. Only a qualified artist will be able to answer your question and discussion on Reddit will only lead to misinformation. Ask your tattoo artist.
- ANY discussion of medical advice or aftercare, including possible allergic reaction, infection, or if a tattoo is healing properly. If you are having an issue with a tattoo, return to your artist or ask a medical professional. Any and all medical questions or advice will be removed.
- Talking about pricing in any context.
- Rude judgment such as "you'll regret that," suggesting /r/cringepics /r/badtattoos /r/trashy /r/ATBGE etc. Constructive criticism only.
- Memes, rage comics, reaction gifs, "top 10" style lists, blog posts, pun threads, and other copypasta.

Tattoos store in Bangkok - negative experience
Hi! I'm new to tattoos and I asked a bunch of shops here for a number of pieces. The problem is that they seem unable to offer me ideas of designs, asking me to provide them instead. If could draw, I would haha :)
So for example, I want a simple cross on the chest. But a cross can have variations, and I suppose these depend on the artist. They won't let me select the artist. It's so confusing to me...
Is this normal behavior here in Thailand or around the world? I was expecting a process of design first, where ideas are exchanged (and of course I would pay for it).

Looking for a tattoo I saw the other week here.
I believe it was here anyways but I can't find it. Does anyone remember or saved a tattoo someone posted here of blackberry bushes on both of their thighs? My partner is thinking of getting something like it and I remember showing it to here but ofc I didn't save it or anything. It had to be no more than 2 weeks ago I think.

Advice on mixing my sleeve style to keep it more consistent
Hello, I recently got two new tattoos on my sleeve and I'm kinda having second thoughts about one of them lmao, not because I don't like the design I do love it, but I feel like it is off compared to the rest of tattoos I've got in my arm. The new forearm tatto is kinda neo tribal/cybersigilims-ish and I like it, but the rest of my tats are just blackwork I guess and I'm feeling that they don't combine. Any advice on how to mix it up to make it more consistent ? Maybe throw more tribals in there ? Or am I just tripping and it looks fine. If my arm in general looks horrible as well and have some advice let me know lol
