Hi there! I'm a native English speaker (37 yo, female, US citizen) who also holds a BA in English Studies and can get into grammar mechanics and such if that's desired. I'm trying to achieve Spanish proficiency to the point where I can state on a job application that I'm bilingual and use it successfully to assist Spanish speakers. I've taken a Spanish class in high school, but my vocabulary is very limited and I still struggle to formulate sentences. Even if you can only get me started on my way, I'd be happy. Thanks!
i have collected japanesse horror movies since i was 12 , it stared as a small hobby between father and son, then it became a big hobby between us.( i think now we have like 1600 movies ) my father and i have started translating them from japanese to english and spanish, some of the things we are proud of translating is the 102 volumes of the honto ni atta noroi no vide series since the 1990's, also the koji shiraishi 's senritsu kaiki files series, and the welcome to the occult forest series, among othersyou can check some of our translations here: https://www.reddit.com/r/WorldbreakerJHorror/
I've been using duolingo and babbel but I learn best when I'm interacting with someone. I plan to move to Germany once I'm set and my language skills are up to par.
Hello, I’m 29F going to Brazil in a few months and have been practicing Portuguese on apps/youtube. I speak English and Spanish and would appreciate a pen pal who can help me strengthen my grasp of the language. Thank you!
Hello there! I'm Andrew, 48, based in the UK, and I'm looking for native French speakers around my age who would be up for a language exchange and, ideally, a meaningful friendship. I’d love to learn French from scratch — my last encounter with it was back in high school, so I'm essentially a complete beginner (I’ve only retained “salut” and “bonjour”!). I’m also happy to help you with English in return.
Learning French has been on my mind for a while, and I think it would be even more rewarding to connect with someone who is patient, friendly, and enjoys cultural exchange. I’d love to understand the nuances of the language and hear about life from a French perspective, while offering a bit of English guidance and perhaps some stories about life in the UK in return. If you’re open to this kind of exchange and don’t mind a slow-paced learner, feel free to drop me a message.
Looking forward to chatting!
I'm a native English speaker at A1 level Spanish trying to learn basics currently. I prefer Latin Ameican Spanish.

Hey everyone! I‘m currently in the middle of a B2 course and I still find myself not too confident speaking / listening, as well as not enough situations that I‘ve written about to expand my „Wortschatz“ horizon 🫠
So I‘m looking for somebody who‘s in the same level and willing to truly practice and improve those skills.
DM if interested :)

If you are learning Russian and you're actually committed to do so, or if you know Russian either as your 1st or 2nd language AND you live in Tehran and you want to meet, I'm in.
I can help you with English (soon I'm going to work as an English teacher) and Persian (if you need any help).
If you don't live in Tehran I'd still be happy to practice with you but my main goal of this post is to find someone living here.
I'm basically a total beginner, so other beginners - don't feel nervous, we can learn together!! >:D

I'm still very early on as I don't even fully know Hiragana, but I want someone to be able to text or talk to to actually use the stuff I'm learning and put it into practice! Especially someone that might be able to teach me more about etiquette along the way. Does anyone know of any resources or would just want to talk to me in Japanese?
