Which one do you think causes fewer heating and performance problems?
Is this
Hi, I have had an iPhone XS with great audio and bass for years, I recently upgraded to a 15 Pro but everything sounds so flat… do you have any experience?
Yo. Should I buy a XS for the end of the year and will it stay for at least 3 years from now?. I need to change my phone cause of my current phone malfunction and it is easily available for me compared to other iphones. Or else should I choose a Realme 12X. Whats your opinion guys?
Hey, soon i have my first concert! i really interested with concert photography and wanna try (even tho i got a seat that far, idc haha)
I only have Iphone Xs as my camera, any tips or setting for at least will get better results?
Setting for video and photo as well ^^
Do you think better take a photo with normaal cam or portrait? (idk why i never like portrait mode)
Guys should I update to ios 18 Im currently fine to use ios 17 I have a 256 gb version of the phone so i just dont wanna get more bloatware
I’m running 16.7.2 and been refusing to update due to the possibility of my batterie’s health, yet how safe is it to stay on this firmware? Without any more security updates in exchange for a healthy battery.
Also, the annoying warning message in settings seems to be gone. Huge win for repair!
i bought used iphone xs from cerified site,
however, i was on a budget and xs seemed great for 190€,
HOWEVER, 1st day the phone went flawlessly, however im not sure if its the issue but today i updated to ios 18 and phone started draining batery so fast, in 5 minutes, it charges 1% and phone randomly keeps turning off or restarting, i dont know if its the ios or where is the problem ? i need some help on this one.. the battery was changed and it says 100%
I really love this xs so much, even tho it starting get very hot, sometimes lagging, but still usable. I just feel need to upgrade since i love taking photo with xs, but iphone 16 seems clear. What do u think?
I’ve been using my iPhone Xs since February 2019, without a case since 2020. I love the sleek design, rounded edges, and smaller screen size.
Recently, I used my father-in-law’s iPhone 12 Pro for a week, and my wife has the 14 Pro while my sister uses the 15 Pro. Tried them for a while.
Now I’m thinking about what to do when I eventually have to upgrade. I’m not a fan of the flat edges on the newer iPhones, and I’m not sure if I can get used to them.
Has anyone else felt the same way about switching from the rounded edges to the flat ones? What do you think?
I’m currently using iOS 17.7 on my iPhone XS. For those who have updated their phones, should I consider upgrading? How has the battery life and performance been so far?
Is it me, or iOS 18 is really running very well for a 6 year old device?
I’ve got a XS Max with original battery having only 79% battery health and although the first 2-3 days when it was updated to iOS 18, was kind of slow, now after all indexing stuff is complete, it is running exceptionally well.
Good job A12 Bionic, good job Apple! 🍎
Hello everyone, Im think of downgrading from Iphone 11 to xs due to the capacity, i need 256 at least and mine is 128, also the oled display, thinking of the ios 18 update It is nice to hear its still supported, I will buy maybe 15 or something a year or two from now
But my main topic is, does the camera and battery have big differences between these two or not that much?
Hi I broked display on my iPhone XS 64GB with 90% Battery life.Is it worth it to repair it ?
Where online is a great place where I can get a pretty decent/ nice iPhone XS for a good price? I have the iPhone 16 as my primary personal phone, and wanna get an XS as a secondary personal phone to listen to music, watch videos, and play a few games.
I think the title is self-explanatory but for some more context, on Monday morning my screen protector broke (I didn’t drop it or anything, I put it in my bag and when I took it out it was already broken), I told my mom about it and she said she’d replace it this weekend. Admittedly, on Monday afternoon or something I did see this exact same line on my phone screen for a second, but it disappeared when I turned off the phone and turned it back on so I didn’t think much about it. This afternoon, after I came back home, I charged my phone and after a while, I turned it back on to see the same pink line again (I didn’t drop it, nor was there any water damage). It’s been about 5 hours and it hasn’t disappeared - I’m scared this could be a hardware issue. Any recommendations on what I should do? I’ve tried looking up the internet and I don’t want to have to reset my phone or use a computer (but I will if that’s the only way) FYI, I tried restarting my phone already and the line still persists.
Sorry for the long post. I’d really appreciate any help!
XS Max if that changes anything
so i replaced my iphone xs battery to one advertised as genuine new from ebay.
after completing the repair successfully, phone doesn't turn on. thought its an issue with my repair process but nope, i tested it by quickly connecting the old battery to it and it turns on just fine.
im not sure if this is just a thing with new batteries and if im supposed to let it be connected to power for a day or something before it turns on, but can someone tell me which is more likely, a faulty battery or i need to wait for it turn on or something
advice appreciated
I've had the iPhone XS since launch and never upgraded.
I use my phone less and less these days as I am more home based and have a Mac plus iPad that I use a lot for the same kinda stuff when I am not, I'm travelling and socialising so not using my phone a huge amount. I've been happy enough with the phone and not needed to upgrade. The nicer camera would be nice, but comes at a high cost.
I had an Apple Battery case which has helped with the decreased battery but now that has broke and my iPhone battery has depleted to 79%, is it worth forking out for a new battery or even a new battery case (cheaper option) or putting the money towards a new phone at some point which will need to happen eventually, I see it goes out of support officially next year and I've already had the phone for 6 years!
I know this is subjective, but what would others do? What are your thoughts?
Since the XS doesn’t get Apple Intelligence, is there a reason to upgrade to iOS 18.1, other than for security/bug fixes? Like if you’re on 17.x and wondering if iOS 18.1, is worth it?
I was trying to change my battery on my XS and I accidentally cut off this little wire. Now my screen is unresponsive whenever I am touching it.
Is this repairable via welding or do I have to change the whole screen?
Hey! I just wanna ask if I update my 256 GB iPhone XS that I got in Jan.2019 to iOS 18.0.1 from iOS 17.6.1… I just need feedback if someone is having problems with it such as: ghosting, visual glitches, crashes, boot loops, etc… Thanks in advance!
Here are some footage explaining whats happening (The first part is the vanish mode part where it shows “You started screen recording on the instagram app” while the other part where I say Test 1 2 3 is the normal chat) I just need someone to explain this for me and tell me how to fix it… Thanks in advance! ☺️
Now it lasts as it should. It was nearing unusable before
I replaced it myself, the part was 10 dollars and it was half an hour of work to do it.
Does anyone know a program that works for windows that could allow me to see my Cycle Count on my iPhone XS. Thanks in advance!
Does anyone know what is this for?
Hey everyone,
I updated my iPhone XS to iOS 18 recently, and I’ve been having a strange issue with the touch display. It’s not freezing, but certain parts of the screen aren’t responsive, especially when I’m typing on the keyboard. I’m unable to tap letters like "N" and "U" as the touch in that specific area doesn’t seem to work.
This happens mostly when I’m using apps like Telegram or multitasking, and I’ve noticed it occurs more when the phone heats up. Has anyone else had this issue after updating to iOS 18? If so, any tips on how to fix it?
My mom got me this phone at around the end of March this year. When I got it, the battery health was at 92%, and it stayed that way for a few months. Up until now, I’ve used this phone for half a year, and it already decreased to 90%. Do you have any tips as to how to not make it decrease so quickly (if you know what I mean)?
