Hey guys,
Havent kept up with footy as much in last few years but from what i remember we had a pretty solid AFLW side, seems like were getting flogged now, anyone know what's going on?
From what i can tell just from looking at ladder as i have no context for anything, AFLW seems very top heavy right now with norf etc
Thanks

Anyone read that Tuohy article/autobiography snippet? The guy was a sociopath.
No wonder the squad was burnt out four years into his tenure.
That period from midway-2017 to midway 2019 had to be one of the most excruciating times in our existence. Losing every week, not even playing exciting football.
His press conferences were a neverending Stephen Covey seminar.
So glad we eventually told that leprechaun to GAGF.
Interesting interview with Gov here - good way to fill the void with no footy at the moment
Fremantle and Collingwood, two sides who also underperformed and are expecting to contend next year, bolstered their side in the trade period.
Yeah we got Nick Haynes who fills a much needed role, but he's a stopgap who's past his best. We also lost two guys who I could have seen being dependable role players in a premiership side, swapping them for the gamble that is the draft.
I personally would have liked us to chase at least one more player, particularly up forward where we need more goalkickers. I'm surprised we didn't come harder for Tim Membrey, even Stringer...
I get bringing young players in to regenerate the lost before Tassie compromises the draft, but we're still in a premiership window.
What does everyone else think? Am I underrating our younger group? Am I scarred from Mick Malthouse thinking we had a side capable of contending when our depth was barely VFL quality?
Always interests me seeing ex-Blues at other clubs.
Was on the fence about getting rid of Carroll but I’m keen to see how he tracks with a permanent midfield role and having a fresh set of eyes looking at him.
My guess is a similar contribution to Sam Kerridge at the Blues. A decent placeholder for a couple of seasons, eventually overtaken by some better players and ultimately out of the system at 26 or 27.
He’s still fairly raw as a pure midfield talent and needs to find a lot more consistency with his stoppage work.
What do others think?

I'm hoping Zac Williams really makes his mark as a forward and is able to fill the void left by Owies.
Imagine the fighting for it now if we draft both of the Campo boys!
Hi r/CarltonBlues!
Yet again another year where the voucher code is of no use to me. All I wanted was the consecutive year pin and it's costing $45 to ship to Singapore. Which is ridiculous.
Hate for the voucher to be unused, so if you plan to buy some stuff.

Cheers!
Reportedly had interest from GWS and Collingwood but his days at Carlton are all but over.
Wow, what a wild ride that was! 😅
We review the INs and OUTs from our trade period with a macro lens, and assess our overall performance, as we now excitedly look towards the draft with Pick 3.

Surely we look at him, delisted so we can pick him up for nothing and was solid when he played.

Back in the Top 5 of the draft
We froth first round picks and we convert them into All Australian jackets
Go and get a kick on Sid Draper opposition midfielders - - I dare you
With Kennedy and Marchbank gone, there are no GWS recruits from the SOS era left in our squad.
That arguably the best of the lot (Kennedy) was still forced out in the prime of his career probably doesn't reflect well on this recruiting strategy. I know a couple could never get going due to injury and some others provided mature bodies during the rebuild, but hard to look at it as a roaring success.
