"Brisbane Lions has re-signed premiership coach Chris Fagan for a further two seasons on the back of the club’s remarkable flag triumph.

Fagan, who was already locked-in for 2025, will continue to lead the Lions until the end of 2027 after a board meeting on Wednesday confirmed the deal.

Brisbane is expected to announce a two-year extension for the 63-year-old former school teacher on Thursday as the Lions attempt to go back-to-back next season."

I’ve been mulling over the 25’ Bears retro jumper from the post easier today, and the media release someone posted about the name ‘Bears’.

I can see this naming logic flying in that era, with the Croc Dundee era of export fanfare, but not now - we don’t call a Koala a bear and we certainly don’t now. I don’t think we would name a modern Brisbane team that way.

The 2023 Grand Final put a name on Bobby Hill for life. Kai & Cal both could have finished with 5 or 6 each and won the Norm. Not only did they have super human grand final, but both of their finals series were as heroic as I think any in Lions history. Are both of these boys now genuine stars of the game?
