This is my first system, and I'm quite happy with it. I plan to get a proper record player and phono preamp. Additionally, I'm considering adding a subwoofer, but I'm unsure if it would improve the system due to the small size of my room
I recently snagged some paradigm pdr 12 sub and built in amp with speakers, was hoping someone can help me with the price I can sell them for, thanks
A sub arrived last week, this came in today, and there's a second on its way. I can't wait to get them all hooked up!
U/slacketpoes below my post here, stole my picture and used the same title that I've posted 2 years ago to post here 2 days ago.
Ny colletion
Ny colletion of compact stereo from the 90โsโฆ I was a bit carried away....๐
Got my speakers and amplifier set up last night. My God they look and sound gorgeous.... I played my favorite song, Time by Pink Floyd, and literally started to tear up. At least even in the dark times I can get lost in music.
I just finished the setup. I know I will get roasted for no room treatments. They are being installed next week.
Cheers
So Iโm building two custom bookshelf speaker boxes. It will consist of a midrange woofer and a tweeter using a skar tx65c component set. Seeing as though these bookshelf boxes will be playing only highs and mids, I canโt decide if a port is needed. Will I need to add a port to these boxes, or will it not even matter?
Writing on the inside of the amp says rated for a minimum 0.5 ohm load
Iโve heard good things and bad things about these but honestly comfiest mfs I have owned so far and the sound quality is, is banging I picked these up for ยฃ112

I've loved the Andromeda for a long time, it was NY only headphone until last week, and it served me very well. I love its expansive soundstage, how when watching a movie I could hear a bullet wiz by my shoulder! The cable was expensive but worth it. It only makes a difference because in parts of the Andromeda's frequency response it goes to super low impedance, so a good thick cable hells bring out the low end. Not that expensive cables do much usually. For the Aeon 2 I went with Hart Audio after seeing them recommended over and over on Reddit. The Hart Audio one is fantastic too!
The DAC/amps are fantastic! The Gold Bar is amazing, almost is more resolving than the Gryphon, and very convenient. Its crazy how good it is for a dongle. I had to import it from Japan, I was lucky enough to get it at the seller's cost! The Gryphon is my audio Swiss Army knife! It does everything, connect via LDAC Bluetooth and 2V line out to my speakers at home, Bluetooth or USB to my laptop or phone on the go, small enough to go into a pocket, high quality DAC and analog amp stage in it, and battery last a long time. Never regretted buying it!
Just got the Dan Clark Audio Aeon 2 in a week or so ago, and it has barely left my noggin since, not even to sleep it's that comfortable! I can barely feel it on my head, the clamp strength isn't that hard but enough to seal with the thick Japanese protein leather pads, which are new. I ordered and put on the new perforated pads that come standard on the Aeon Noire, and they really increase the soundstage and the bass!
Tried out all the filters that it comes with, and my favorite is definitely the one that attenuates the least, the black foam one. I had the use the 2 notch white for a while at first to bring the treble down it was a lot to get used to for the first few days, but it also make the whole experience more "intimate" and brought the sounds closer in.
Speaking of the soundstage... Its out of this world! I have my brain telling me during movies that the sound is coming from in front of me, and I keep checking if my laptop is really set to mute since its late at night and everyone else is sleeping. But its always just the headphones tricking me, but my brain is 100% telling me sound is coming from in front of me! Same with sounds in songs, I'll keep being convinced that I'm hearing sounds down the hall or in the other room!
Crazy experience, and though it won't replace my Kanto TUK's, it will be awesome while traveling!

Concept 11.0 Paired with Kenwood JL-775 Speakers Also have Sony Cdp-cx55 running to it.
Looking forward to trying it out later.
Couldn't be happier! Picked up an almost brand new Grundig Studio 2000 today that matches perfectly the Audiorama 4000s that I thrifted last year.
I really could spend the whole day just looking at it!
