The series established that “our” rick was from c-137 to preserve canon and maintain some continuity and narrative. But then came the decoy ep that destroyed everything. It was so stupid even in the show scale. Now we have no idea which rick we’ve been watching
This January....
I have a feeling sometimes that I've already seen some scenes before, do some scenes in the show repeat??
I started rewatching seasons 1-2 (and 3), and I get the feeling, that the story that was scrapped and retconned could be also cool. I kind of miss that they switched over to the hunt for Rick Prime.
I'll reiterate, what I think was "canon" then: Rick has clearly lived through a failing marriage, didn't feel happy and left to "put a saddle on his universe" before Beth graduated from school. Hence all the anti-marriage sentiment (that feels now kinda stupid if his family were killed), hence the memories of having great adventures and resistance fighting days. Basically, think Han Solo in the Sequels. Hence his decision with "splitting" Beth: his idea was "I wanted to have fun but I also had to stay back and be with my family, so I will help my daughter to do both at once".
If she was already undercover (which we assume based on fake parents etc.), why fly with BP anywhere? Why not just find a reason to get away from him and grab Rick while he's unconscious?
I don't want answers "because this storyline didn't exist back then".
So you know the episode in the mini series diabolical that’s not canon for the boys universe, and the ep is in rick and morty style animation and I’m pretty sure that the producers of r&m also worked on that episode. So I was thinking is it possible that they would do something like it in the next season of r&m because I think it would be really cool if rick would visit that universe or smth..
Finished this commission and shipping out tomorrow finally 16x20”
I was triming the chumble on my plumbus a few days ago but it hasn't grown back since. Did I trim it to low or is it time to get a new one? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I was curious when season 8 I coming and among the common questions was which Beth is the clone, I clicked on thinking no one knows for real but answer was right there in my face.
Rick himself doesn't know how do we know?
Anyone else ever see the movie stardust? There's at least a couple scenes where Rick's body moves like the witch-doll-puppeted prince in Stardust (final fight scene)- while evil Morty is controlling his Rick, and after Rick gets smashed by the giant Diane fist. It's too similar to be coincidence, i wonder who the stardust fan is 🤔 Just wondering if anyone else sees it or am i imagining it
I think the core of the show is over looked. The one man who has the most scientific intelligence is a depressed alcoholic. You could argue it’s his crybaby backstory but with out prime he may have not even invented portal travel. I think a lot of depressed people relate to Rick and bojack. Rick unlike bojack is given the title smartest man. So my question is does being the most intelligent man mean you’d have to be depressed and or an alcoholic? I can see a lot of fans say I’m depressed because I’m so smart. But hey maybe there is some truth to that.
I was rewatching The Wedding Squanchers, and something caught my attention. At the beginning of the episode, Rick says, "It takes lightyears for our TV signal to reach Birdperson."
But isn't lightyear a measure of distance, not time? It seems like a weird mistake for someone as scientifically knowledgeable as Rick.
Do you think this was just a writing slip-up, or could it be an intentional joke about how people often misuse the term?
Change my mind! 🤣
Dan said that they want to do the show forever for 100 seasons, but, if less and less people watch, they will end it on season 20. What do you think? In the current state that Adult Swim and Warner are in, I think the need the show, so, I hope they will renew it, if the writers still have good stories to tell
Something just hit me about Scary Terry. When Mr Goldenfold is shooting at Rick and Morty, Rick says if you die in a dream you die for real. Then when they ask Scary Terry to help them, he kills everyone that's sleep in the various levels of the dream world, up to and including bombing the shit out of Mr Goldenfold. But they don't die.... Well he doesn't, since he's the only real person. The girl, centaur, and Mrs Pancakes wasn't real.
I saw pickle rick casting in the pilot episode of another animated series in Netflix. But somehow missed it. Want to watch it now. Can someone help by naming that series ? Thanks in advance.
