The second house is from deleted scenes of a tv show, the all thing can be seen here : https://youtu.be/59P9QEb1MOg?feature=shared&t=429 - You can see several buildings in the distance, on different shots, but nothing really useful that I know of.
Because the rest of the scenes were filmed here, I think these houses are located in the triangle between Liverpool - Manchester - Preston. I flew over a large part of the area on Maps for several hours but to no avail. If anyone has any ideas or leads to explore, I am interested.
Hello all! My wife and I are currently vacationing about Ireland and are lookin for some help tracking down where some of her family used to live. Her family is from Donegal and Down counties, the attached pictures are believed to have been taken in County Down. Any help y'all can offer would be much appreciated so we can visit these sites while we're here!
Edit: These photos were provided to me by my mother in law, handed down from her mom.
A friend of mine has asked me to do some research and so here I am, reaching out to the power of Reddit! Does anyone recognise this painting? Who was it painted by? Is it a real place? The location of purchase is suspected to be in Edinburgh but awaiting confirmation on this.
Basically, this painting was bought by my friends' parents a while back. It holds great sentimental value to the family. I believe that the story is this; her Mother had spotted it whilst going past a charity shop window on a bus and loved it instantly. Eventually they went to see it and ended up purchasing by it! It has been proudly owned for many years with little knowledge about who painted it or the location in the picture. They had it reframed a few years back and the framer actually asked if he could buy it from them - alerting to the fact that it might be possibly worth something.
Recently my friend sadly lost her mother and had thought it might be a nice sentimental place to visit with her Dad in memory of her Mother - that is, should the place in the paining actually exist.
If anyone may have a hint about who the artist may be and if the scene actually exists in real life. There is no signature on the painting and they have been unable to search for it without a location. It could be that its entirely fictional. Presumably it might have come from someone’s house (in Edinburgh) as it was a charity shop find.
No one in my family remembers where we were, it was definitely somewhere we visited as tourists because I didn't grow up knowing anyone with a ranch or a hay barn.
I grew up in Denver, so likely within a couple hours.
My dad passed away in 2017, and id-ing this photo feels important in a weird grief way #iykyk
TIA!
I am trying to figure out which mountain range is shown on the background for the “Young Sheldon” show intro.
This is definitely not around the Davis Mountains as the colors do not fit what I have actually seen around the Davis Mountains in Texas.
Can’t be Big Bend either, just due to the shape of the mountains.
Any ideas?
I was driving on 84 in Connecticut (I believe). Suddenly, off the highway there appeared a large brick complex. It had a tower, and was clearly Victorian and built between 1870 and 1920. It looked 100% like the prison in Shawshank Redemption. Due to its location, it definitely is not. I’ve been pouring over google maps and I cannot find this complex of buildings. There was barbed wire around the area.
My buddy’s birthday is coming up and a bunch of us are planning to surprise him at his favourite fishing spot with some new gear. Problem is no one knows where it is? Anyone have any idea? Somewhere in Ontario.
was wondering where this was? tried finding online, boyfriend said it may be israel?

Flying home from Dublin to Chicago, our route took us over Greenland (too cloudy) then we hit the North American continent at Labrador. Flew seemingly forever in a southwesterly direction, until these were the first lights I saw. I'm curious what town this tiny speck of light is. (that's the engine lower right)
