So with only two episodes left of Bad Batch ever, I need to know how long they'll be. Has that information been posted online anywhere? Or leaked? I am someone who never looks for leaks but this is an exception. The best I can hope for is that the final two are either 40 minutes or so or close to an hour long.
On this weeks episode of "Things To Complain About In Star Wars Because WHY NOT" we have people on a certain big podcast that discussed the Ahsoka show and one of the complaints towards the show is that Ezra rides on the back of an animal with Sabine in the front during the later episodes of that show once they find each other. *Sigh... My god man it never ends... of all the things in that show to complain about we are going there?? God man I wish we could just go back to when people could enjoy watching something. Nowadays you either have people who are more relegated to want to be on their phone watching something and missed what goes on in the story or be SO INFUSED into the show that their critic brains are at level 1000 and have to critique every millisecond. Like come on man who cares! This is just sad when you have people complaining about things like that. They may not realize it but sometimes when they go that far they make it seem as if that complaint is the whole basis behind how they feel about other things in that show. I am not saying that Ahsoka S1 doesn't have some issues, I enjoyed the show for the most part but of all things that I did noticed were a bit off with the show, THAT scene was not one of them.😂🙄
I will just say this. I watched a certain Star Wars YouTuber react to the Tales of the Empire series trailer today and after seeing his reaction, it makes me stand by the idea that I would HATE if he ever controlled Star Wars. Saying things like "no one cares about this", "no one cares about these characters" in relation to Barriss Offee and Morgan Elsbeth. Like I used to like this guy at one point and now he has just become insufferable. Lots of long time clone wars fans like myself have been wanting to see where the story of Barriss went when Filoni talked about wanting to explore her again. To say "no one cares about her" is so dumb and shows the self-centered and terrible look on Star Wars that this creator has had for years now.
Me personally I would loved a Mon Mothma spin off show with the same creative team similar to how Better call Saul was spin off show to Breaking Bad Or the thrift of the second Death Star by the Bothan.
I would loved a show of The New Republic version of the Nuremberg Trials. How would you structure the episodes? How many characters like the judges and the imperial war criminals would be based, or at least inspired by the real life Nuremberg.
For me to show should be more akin to the 2000 television 2- part docudrama “Nuremberg” which itself was based on the book Nuremberg: Infamy on Trial by Joseph E. Persico, that tells the story of the Nuremberg trials.
Hell, the producers or screenwriters (mostly from Andor) should read primarily sources of the real life Nuremberg Trials as well as having their own versions of Hermann Goring, Rudolf Harris, Joachim von Ribbentrop and Wilhelm Keitel for imperial war, criminals themselves?
I would love it if Meero, Bixx, and Dr Gorst survived pass Season 2 of Andor I would love it to include it down especially seening Meero and Dr Gorst being on trial while the jurors are listening to Bixx’s testimony of her torture by these two monsters before they were found guilty and executed by hanging.
If I was a showrunner, I would’ve added detail were before Bixx was telling her testimony Dr Gorst will look at her with a smile then once she told her torture a fear coming from Dr Gorst as stops smiling showing how Bixx had overdone her fears.
When he comes for diversity I would love it if the judge is a Mon Calamari who says “Guilty.”
Speaking the imperial hunters I think an interview with Chris Weitz the writer of Rogue One admitted he would loved to do a show similar to that?
I could see them adapting James Luceno’s Darth Plagueis into a faithful adaptation or at least take some ideas from it. essentially creating a House of Cards-esque show that follows the rise of Palpatine from young senator to Chancellor of the Republic (Maybe getting to see how people like Sly Moore and Mas Amedda meet in the first place as well as a Young Finis Valorum.) With that said I definitely don't want it to be the Palpatine show. Sure, he would play a major part, but I'm not a big fan of the character-based shows.
I think that while the politics of Clone Wars/prequels have been covered heavily, there hasn't really been the quality to back up the ambition of the stories. I think that if they did a story about Palpatine's initial rise to Chancellorship as a law and order type populist, there is room for some more sophisticated stories that would end up feeling fresh.
By character-based I mean shows like Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Book of Boba Fett where the main character is more important than the plot. The thing I really like about Andor and Ahsoka is that they're character-based in name only. Ahsoka is a live-action sequel to Rebels and Andor follows multiple characters, not just Cassian Andor.
I would also loved them to revival George Lucas’s Underworld after all we know that the scripts and story treatments are still around in Skywalker Ranch thanks to an interview from the god of war creator and director Cory Barlog?
When it comes a show set during the High Republic Era similar story about rising authoritarianism in response to economic problems. It could lay the groundwork for the steady decay of the Republic. Conversely, you could use that time period to tell a story about colonialism in the outer rim and the Republic's expansion.
I realize that a lot of us are sick of the Disney shows and everything but after watching house of the dragon on HBO it feels really similar to how it feels reading plagueis how it chronicles events over a long period of time acting as a historical accounting almost. The book even neatly divides itself into 3 parts which could probably just be adapted into 3 seasons.
If they want something original have it set between 52 and 32 BBY?
Even if you don't want a palpatine show how about a show set during the High Republic Era similar story about rising authoritarianism in response to economic problems. It could lay the groundwork for the steady decay of the Republic. Conversely, you could use that time period to tell a story about colonialism in the outer rim and the Republic's expansion.
After Andor, I think a mature show following the development of the Partisans could be interesting. How extreme could they be that Mon Mothma and Bail Organa refused to cooperate with them?

Those of you who don’t know the factions I’m referring to are The Core Faction and Rim Faction from the legends novels Cloak of Deception and Darth Plagueis.
The core faction were composed mostly Human, and astrographically (came from the Core. In terms of policy, they advocated increasing or at least maintaining the authority and powers of the Republic government.
While the rim faction is mostly composed of non-Human and astrographically most came from the Mid Rim Outer Rim and the various special interest groups—such as the Techno Union, Commerce Guild Corporate Alliance, and Trade Federation.
They were a politically conservative party and so advocated reducing the power and influence of the Republic government. As such, they commonly stood for the maximization of planetary sovereignty, placing them in direct opposition to the Core faction, who favored greater centralization of power. Fiscally, the Rim Faction advocated for economic liberalism, thus supporting free trade, low taxes, minimal restrictions on enterprise, and the deregulation of markets.
It would be nice using these factions prominently in the hypothetical show which would make it probably the most prominent usage of the EU lore in live-action series so far similar how Andor handled stuff from The Old West End Games RPG books which introduced the concepts like Mon Mothma having a daughter as well as the title of Prefect within the Galactic Empire.
Now before people get worried for Fan service Palpatine won’t be the main character of the show his role is kinda similar to Mon Mothma like he not the main character but an important character to follow plus it will highlighting his senatorial career as a rising star in politics establishing his relationships with people like a young Finis Valorum and Mas Amedda. So no devolving into his dark side and Sith studies within this show.
The novel revealed the Empire horribly broke the Seventh Sister. Also, it said the Empire "turned her away from the Jedi." This implies the Seventh Sister didn't become an Inquisitor on her own. What do you guys think?
For years I’ve been fascinated with the Star Wars Holiday Special. As the special has essentially be stripped from existence. Decided to do a deep dive about the history the special and why it is so interesting. I would love to see it make its way to Disney+ one day. Have any of you seen the special?
