I said this many times that Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade revealed that the Empire broke the Seventh Sister but didn't tell us how. That was after she survived Order 66. Assume Ezra found out and sensed how broken the Seventh Sister was. Cal set Ninth Sister free which is by killing her. Would Ezra have set her free (kill her) on Malachor when he had the chance?
Basically, which episodes aren’t filler? My family is looking to watch Ahsoka, and I know we should watch Rebels first, but it’s a rather long show and I was wondering if anyone knows the best episodes to watch regarding plot and character development.
Why do you think the writers of Rebels made it where Kanan gets easily disarmed by Rukh? IN HIS LAST EPISODE TOO! It'd be even cooler to see Kanan whip Rukh's ass jsut to show how much hes grown a a duelist.
Maybe this is a stupid question and I missed something obvious: But how did Gregor a d Wolffe make it to Lothal in the final season? I mean the planet was under lockdown and getting Hera through on an old fighter was like a big story point and when she returned basically her entire Flotilla perished in fire 🔥
I've watched the first few episodes of S1 and I don't like the animation style compared to clonewars. I also find the episodes to be extremly slow. I know i should probally watch it but it sems like a lot of episodes and the chrachters arn't my favourite.
I know he doesn't have antlers and other armory on him, but the face seems very similar to bendu's. The other parts could perhaps grow as he gets older, or Bendu didn't even have them on him, but they are rather there to blend him in the terrain, but something tells me that this could already be an established species and all this might be in vain (note that I say might since it could still potentially be Bendu's species, regardless of whether it is already given a name or not).
What do you think? Do you think they'd bond well in the force?
I don't understand why i have to ask on reddit. Every time i try googling it, im only told the years it takes place which means nothing to me when i don't know when rogue one and a new hope take place.
Can someone just tell me where in the timeline rebels is because googling it was so uneccesarily annoying
Sabine Theme reference, "Sabine Suite" from "Trials of the Darksaber": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uu4Ic5c1hMo
"Anakin's Betrayal" from ROTS soundtrack by John Williams: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2p-im7cxa4
At the 2:10 mark, you hear what sounds very similar to Sabine's theme. Anyone else hear it? Sabine's theme may be in a different key, and with variations of this and the melody played around with, but imo it's highly probable that this is where it started from.
It's also fitting. Sabine's theme carries emotions of heartfelt guilt. And her recurring emotions in both Rebels and Ahsoka of abandonment, hurt by feeling she isn't trusted by those close to her, consequences of her actions, facing her past, losing and being reunited with family(Her blood family in Rebels, and Ezra in Ahsoka), finding new family and purpose(Ghost Crew in Rebels then Ahsoka in Ahsoka).
Filoni said he meant to parallel Sabine's story in Ahsoka with Anakin's, similar personalities so he thought it'd be interesting to have that personality as the apprentice to Ahsoka after it had been her Master. Similar temperament, passion, care for others and ultimate devotion to those they cared about. Although with Anakin, he was too possessive, and didn't care to do things that would be considered wrong even as a Jedi. Sabine always had her limits, such as keeping Zeb from killing that Imperial and not killing Saxon, no matter how personal of an enemy they were she kept those moral principles of not being an executioner.
Oh, also the one line from Sabine in Rebels: "Stupid sand, gets everywhere."
Barriss betrayed Ahsoka by framing her for murder. When Anakin revealed her friend Barriss to be the culprit, Ahsoka was devastated and then felt betrayed. Barriss' betrayal still haunted Ahsoka. Also, she understands that Barriss was right about the republic even though she took it the wrong.
Almost everyone here unanimously agrees Kanan is the GOAT and that Jedi Night is one of the best SW out there... i think overall he's a great teacher and mentor but what about his fighting abilities?
What do you think is his best duel?
What is his best moment in battle?
I had a couple of free days between a commission and the next one, so I did this.
I wanted tho show him whit the hilt of Kanan's lightsaber, since in the show all the frame are cropped and we never see it clearly
Time to immortalize my favorite war criminal
In A World Between Worlds, when Palpatine first greets Ezra and Ahsoka, he calls her “Ashoka” - you know, the way we all misspell it?
It’s like my fourth rewatch and I only just noticed this now. I can’t believe nobody in production caught that!
Edit: link to the scene so that people can judge for themselves! Many people seem to think it’s just his accent or something similar, which I think is a fair perspective. He says it at about 00:12
One of the main criticisms I've seen of Rebels is that it has too much filler. I STRONGLY disagree with this, I think that Rebels is my favorite piece of Star Wars media and it wouldn't even be CLOSE to the quality that it is if it didn't have the "filler" episodes. Even the ones that are technically true filler and don't contribute to the plot give character building opportunities and get you attached to these people, which I think is crucial for selling the audience the found family dynamic.
We can see the characters slowly growing closer and trusting each other more as the show goes on, until the final season where it's clear that they would do anything for each other, and because of all the setup and buildup, that is COMPLETELY BELIEVABLE.
Kanan sacrificing himself to save the crew, his last moments with Hera, the silent look of understanding that Ezra and Sabine exchange before Ezra goes to face Thrawn, even the more "minor" characters like Zeb almost sacrificing himself to kill Rukh, or Chopper holding Hera's hand after Kanan dies. These moments are the culmination of four seasons of masterfully written character dynamics and relationships, I think they're absolute perfection and they would not have worked nearly as well without all the "filler" episodes.
I've watched rebels before and loved it, today my mom will watch them for the first time, I am realy exicted because we will watch them together
