Is there more litter on the streets in Sheffield? or am I just imagining it?

I hope someone here can guide me to the right place as I’m interested in getting back into running.

It’s been a few years from when I’d run alittle during Covid so hoping to join a beginner friendly group. I’m a 34 year old male pretty out of shape but determined to change. Looking for a friendly group to help me along the process.

I live around Handsworth area but I can drive to wherever to join the group.

Sheffield has no shortage of amazing coffee spots, but I’m always on the hunt for something new. Recently tried out May’s Coffee and Tea on Broad Lane, and it did not disappoint! The flat white was spot on—smooth, rich, and definitely one of the best I’ve had in the city.

If you’re around, it’s definitely worth a visit. Would love to hear if anyone else has tried it or has other recommendations for hidden gems in Sheffield!

Grew up in Sheffield (moved away when I was 10 in 2013). And i SWEAR the double decker busses used to have the stairs at the back. I still have a childhood friend who never left and we were talking about it earlier and he says he only remembers them being in the front.

I even specifically remember going to Leeds as a little kid and being bewildered that the bus had the stairs at the front instead of the back.

Not much info as parents are getting older and have been out of contact for over 10 years. Name was Andrew Jackson or something similar. Age range would be from 45-65? Last known address was Stockbridge. Has a disability. Any help appreciated

The fireworks seem to have been less this year, but we've still got dogs shaking and too afraid to go out. I'm coughing like my life depends on it, which it does. Are silent fireworks the way to go for the animals and wildlife, do they still produce smoke? Or is a better way drone shows with music?

Hi all, does anyone know of any small-ish fire work displays around Sheffield on the 5th November? I’m not from Sheffield but we’re going to be there for the day, so I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas? I’ve researched myself and there seems to be a lot of big ones which aren’t quite our setting. Thanks.

I noticed this carving today , by the traffic lights fulwood/Manchester road junction as you leave broomhill towards fulwood. I used to live just along from here and had never noticed it before. How long has it been there? And where has it come from?

Whilst you bought £70 worth of food at my expense (at least I'm getting that money back) my card's been locked until Monday morning, which means I've had to miss out on several events with friends this weekend I can no longer pay for, and I'm living off toast until Monday because I was going to do my food shop the next day. Good thing I had enough food for my cats. Oh and I also have to pay to replace my driving license and student card and lost a sentimental photo that was stored in my wallet that can't be replaced thanks to you. You prick.

In our household we celebrate St Nikolaus & Krampus coming on 5/6 December to leave small gifts for the kids in their boots. My daughter always asks for the chocolate figures of them. They are made by mainstream brands like Milka and Lindt, has anybody ever seen them here? I’m sure I can find them online but would prefer a local shop if possible. Bonus if anyone has ever seen Nikolo or Krampus themselves in Sheffield 😂

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows good places to go watch fireworks from in Sheff. I know behind the train station can have some good viewpoints but if theres any where else better I'd love to know.

I’ve been hearing loads of fireworks for ages and have no idea why?? Halloween was yesterday and bonfire night is in 4 days so it’s not a special day (I don’t think)

I’m considering buying a ticket to the illuminate the gardens event this weekend, but at £20 it’s a little out of my budget as a student and none of my friends are willing to pay that much so I’ll be going alone if I do go. Is it worth the money and will going alone be a problem as it seems to be marketed to families? Thanks

Hello! I’m a bit against using Meadowhall as the overflow, as I’m female and I’ll be heading down after an event alone, so where do you park that’s closer walking distance to arena? Can’t get parking pass for the actual arena as there’s a chuffing funfair taking up half the car park.

Do people legit use and get away with centertainment or one of the industrial estate roads around arena? This is for a weekend evening.
