Any information on what West Melton is like as an area to live in? Is it relatively safe/good transport links? Tried to do a bit of a search online but nothing much comes up. Is it at risk of flooding /high crime rate etc? Just housing seems relatively more affordable than other areas we've looked at.
Thanks (Edit:stoopid auto correct)
Hello, currently working with a news startup in South Yorkshire and need some images of the stadium or from a Rotherham game either work really.
Any help would be appreciated! But has to be photos you have taken personally. More the merrier!
Does anyone on here know where the away fans drink before the game on Saturday
Morning. Does anyone have experience living in Thurcroft? I am moving to a house on Bluebell Lane (fairly new build estate I think?) but I have only ever heard unflattering things about Thurcroft. Is it a rough area, and does that include the new estates that have been built? TIA for any advice or recommendations!
Hi, I’m not exactly sure if this is the right place to post, but here we go:
I live in the Rotherham area and urgently need to find a shop nearby that does Duvets and pillows. I already have a cover set. I’m moving for university on Saturday, and these are the last things I need. Does any body know shops in Rotherham that do duvets/ pillows for cheap ish?
The home bargains near me did double duvets for £12* and pairs of pillows for £6, so anywhere that does them at around this price would be great.
They recently replaced all the duvets and pillows in my local HB with Christmas stuff, and I planned to get the last things today and now can’t.
Any suggestion helps!
Thanks
Edit: to everyone suggesting B&M, checking my closest B&M tomorrow! I’ll update you on whether it’s a success or not 😪
I know it’s only august. I’m looking for somewhere to book for Christmas dinner, preferably a decent pub. Any recommendations would be appreciated
Hi, I am moving nearby soon and I’m hoping to find a Pole Fit class. Does anyone know of any classes?

Every Euro and World Cup for as long as I can remember there's been a prominent flag with Treeton on. This latest Euro's I've not seen it, anyone caught sight of it?
Where do you like taking your car to get washed in the area. I know there are two in Eastwood but any others that are worth the extra cost?
I wanted to write to my possible future MPs about an issue in my area. I couldn't find all the email addresses in one place and I had to do some searching as some of these people aren't very visible online. Anyway, since I've done the work I thought it would be worth posting in case anyone else wanted to write to them about any specific.
Bit annoying I could only find three specific emails of the seven candidates. Plus two generic (enquires@ etc).
If you want to copy paste them for your email:

I've lived in Rotherham for all my life, and the main take-away my family and friends get is an Indian take-away called Jacko's that sells chicken & chips, pizzas, donna kebabs, etc, and It's genuinely the best we can find, any suggestions?

I am moving to the UK in mid of next month. I've a family of four. Please suggest something that helps in my exploration of finding accommodation. I am more concerned with kids' schools, play grounds and nearby mosque. My job is remote so no issue of commute but I'll be looking a workspace once properly settled. Moreover, please help me by the average rent of two rooms and other living costs.
Thanks!

Hi everybody! As the title suggests, I (28F) will be moving to Rotherham soon for work and basically to rebuild my life after a stint of homelessness in Nottingham. I've never been to Rotherham, so would like suggestions for places to meet people of a similar age, places/areas to avoid, any activity groups in the area - literally anything and everything you think I should know about Rotherham before the big move! A bit about me: I like reading non-fiction (mostly medieval history). I like D&D/board games and have seen there's a board game shop in the town which I am already planning to visit, but I'm more of a casual player. Same with video games. I like hiking and exploring old/abandoned places. I also like good food, drink, and live music, so any pub/restaurant recommendations are appreciated! Also, is there a more active subreddit for Rotherham? This one seems quiet compared to the Nottingham subreddit.
