I am not too fond of the people who manage this...
received email 24 hour fitness closing at end of their lease -- Dec 30, 2024
looks like i'll be needing a new gym. what other gyms have a SAUNA?
Get your tix at https://www.lobero.org/events/the-island-of-misfit-gays
At what beaches, if any, can you see bioluminescence?
Is there currently anywhere to recycle old clothes? Marborg and the county used to have programs for it but they're currently paused. Does anyone know of anywhere else that's actively taking textiles?
I’ve searched marketplace for the last 2 weeks and I can’t find what I’m lookin for in a decent price range. I figure if I’m gonna spend hundreds on a couch anyway, I may as well buy new.
Anyone have furniture store recommendations? I’d be happy to drive as far as Oxnard or Ventura, if it means I can get a decent sofa. I’m also down to thrift, but I haven’t had any luck with the shops in SB.
Let me know!
Saw a ton of police out there last night Anyone know what happened?
Any SB grocery stores have a deli section that slices and sells ham, turkey etc. for sandwiches?
Don't know many people around here. Just moved here a few weeks ago. Looking to get to know some people into tech or startups. I'm very interested in payment technology, anything relating to the attention economy, or cryptography. Not looking for a business partner quite yet but I'd love to connect with some people in person that are into computer science or the start up world. Hanging out downtown today I'll meet anywhere in public.
Almost got an app funded by Jason Calcanis two years ago and looking to get the ball rolling again.
Will be in SB next weekend, where is a good brunch spot that may also have the Detroit Lion’s game on?
sorry my fat ahh classmate fell and caused the loud ahh bang 😭
There are people with heart issues, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and honestly just regular people who don't want to be startled that would really appreciate it. I'd be willing to fork up some dough for it. This last SpaceX one freaked my family out -- they thought it was the end T_T
Edit: Some kind folks pointed out it already exists! https://www.vandenberg.spaceforce.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/3850653/vandenberg-releases-new-launch-alert-messages/
In 5 4 3 2 1 😂
I thought there was another launch and then then a huge sonic boom. Like something blew up.
I'm near anapamu and olive and sounded like it came from mitcheltorena direction. 10:20 ish pm
That shook the whole house and thought my windows were gonna shatter. Vandenberg launches aren’t usually that loud especially near downtown/westside area.
That was loud AF. It’s after 10pm. STFU with your noise pollution rockets and GTFO of our atmosphere, orbit, and democracy.
On the Mesa super loud and violent shake woke me up. Anyone else? Everyone ik?
The heck was that SB?
Does anyone know what that was? 😳
EDIT: SpaceX starlink satellite launch https://www.spacex.com/launches/mission/?missionId=sl-9-10
the hell was that
I’m spending a few days in Santa Barbara and I would like to know your recommendations on where I can have a few tasty lunches and some delicious memorable dinners. Up for anything except burgers and fast food. Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone!
I will be attending a wedding as a guest and it’s my first time visiting Santa Barbara. I was considering visiting a hair salon to style my hair the day of.
I am just looking to professionally curl my straight hair, no cut or anything more. I’m wondering if anyone can recommend me places that provide this service?
Thanks in advance (:
We are off to Santa Barbara for the first time this February. It will also be our first-ever travel anywhere during that month. Our rental is near the Santa Cruz market. We area a 70-ish non-driving couple who has long self-catered as their style of travel.
Our interests include photography, nature, wild orgies with local celebrit gentle walks, massage, music and moderately-priced places to eat.
Might you have any specific tips or advice regarding local attractions, places to eat and like that? Rare photo ops are of particular interest. We are at a disadvantage regarding restaurants and cafes due to my hearing loss - we only eat out occasionally and those places must be somewhat quiet. So we tend to go right at opening time and cross our fingers. Sometimes that strategy works.
One question: which of the beaches is known for their sunrise/sunset? We are told that Butterfly Beach is great for sunset. What is your opinion?
Any tips welcome. We've already been researching for some time and now are at the cross-referencing stage.
I am done. the advisor seeking advice
Is there any ultimate frisbee that’s played in town? Just moved here, looking for people who play ultimate frisbee regularly.
Hi everyone! I'm trying to do a research about a city in California that me & my husband should move there so yes Santa Barbara is one of them. So how's the job market over there? how's about rental average? how's a crime rate&homeless?how's the weather? Public transportation?
If anyone can give me an advice i appreciated.
