Doing a photoshoot for a local cannabis brand. Looking for some cool local smoke spots to use for the videos/photos.
In Santa Maria for work for the next 2 weeks, are there any good recommendations on what to do or explore around here, also any word on the gentleman’s club out here?
Hi everyone, I have a FREE Special Event upcoming on Sunday February 9th at the Santa Maria Public Library. We have a couple special guests coming out February 9th to run multiple games of Blood On the Clocktower* from 1p-5p, and I think it's going to be a fun and memorable event.
And, as usual we'll have Dungeons & Dragons and Warhammer Kill Team as well, but the rest of the room will be dedicated to BOTC.
You can RSVP for FREE in our Discord Server or on Eventbrite https://discord.com/invite/98ubxfPddb https://www.eventbrite.com/e/tabletop-games-at-the-library-tickets-895535790657?aff=oddtdtcreator
*Blood on the Clocktower is a social deduction game where players are divided into good and evil teams and work to solve a murder mystery. The game involves bluffing, lying, and deduction; and, it's a great game for inexperienced players to cut their chops.
How it's played:
Anybody know of anywhere in SM or Orcutt that does pub trivia nights or something similar?

Are there any rehearsal studio rentals (by the hour) around these areas?
Thanks!

Client is looking to attend a church with a younger, millenial crowd. Any suggestions? Thanks
I'm looking for something to do, the nearer the better. I'm looking for something that doesn't need to be scheduled (like a class), and something that isn't outdoorsy like hiking, or biking. Also, nothing that involves alcohol.
I know there's the movie theater and arcade at the mall, and in SLO there's the escape room.
Is there anything else to do around here in the same veins as these? Or am I going to have to go to Santa Barbara if I want to do anything outside the house?

Hi…. Couldn’t find any posts on this but I got a speeding ticket on new years for going 78 in a 65. This is my first ticket and everyone driving around me was going at that speed or faster because of heavy traffic in the surrounding cities. Just wondering if anyone has any tips as this is my first ticket and I’m not sure how much they cost or if I can get it off my record. Any advice thx
Looking for a job, any places hiring?
Hi everyone! I’m moving to Santa Maria next month for a few months to take a travel speech therapy job, and it’ll be my first time in the area! I’m super excited to explore, and I’ll be driving from LAX to Santa Maria.
I’m wondering if anyone has suggestions for interesting places to stop by along the way (I’ve heard the coast is beautiful, so I’m definitely up for scenic spots)!
Additionally, I’d love to know some things about living in Santa Maria. A few other questions I have are: 1. Best neighborhoods to live in or explore? I’ll be working for a few months, so I’d love recommendations for areas with good amenities, walkability, or just cool spots to visit. 2. What areas to stay away from? 3. Any favorite cafes or hidden gems for a good cup of coffee? 4. Any great outdoor activities or hiking spots nearby? I’m a big fan of getting outside and would love to know where to go for a nice hike or just to enjoy nature. 5. Any local events or festivals I should check out while I’m there? I’ll be around for a few months, so I’d love to experience the local culture. 6. Is there anything I should know about Santa Maria or the surrounding areas? Anything from local customs to must-visit places that aren’t in the typical tourist guides? 7. Any recommendations for day trips within a couple hours’ drive? (I know LA and SF, but what are some cool smaller towns I probably don’t know about?)
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and recommendations!

I am looking for tax preparation services in Santa Maria. I would like help with both Federal and State taxes, and my situation involves a home rental.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I am also willing to go to Orcutt, or any other nearby towns. Thanks in advance!
Got some family trying to fly in, where do you guys usually flight out or in of? I was looking at maybe taking Santa Maria to Vegas but I was wondering what you guys use too. Is it just easier to go to LAX?
Is there anything I can do to find out the history of when and where that was done? Does anyone have any tips or tricks or suggestions? I will report it stolen but I am fairly confident I know who did it and they knew the pin to get in to it. I'm more concerned about someone being able to access all of my data than the laptop itself (although it's quite a blow considering I am in school and class started again today). :(
Thank you in advance
Where is the best masa spot in town? Preferably someplace that makes fresh masa, straight from the corn, instead of from powder.
Anyone know where I can get a wolf cut haircut in/near SM? Want to make sure I go somewhere where they know what they're doing :) thanks!
RPG Players wanted Sundays in Santa Maria
After the holiday hiatus, we are looking to restart our games. And we could use a few more players.
At this point we will be playing at the Santa Maria Library, every other Sunday from 1pm to 4. This is the event hosted by the Adventurers League but we will be playing our own games. So far we have been playing Original D&D but we are open to trading off systems and gms. We also have a place to play on the alternate Sundays.
If interested, pm me.
My husband and I just moved to SM and I was just wondering how intense are the fireworks during NYE? We were here for 4th of July and I was shocked by the amount going off just around my neighborhood. Only reason I ask is I have a cat and would just like to know if I'll need to give him some calming meds just in case
Edit: Thanks for the advice everyone! Gave my cat some gabapentine earlier before the fireworks started
