Question about Roku Remotes

Why does Roku not make an alternate/ aftermarket remote for people with large hands? I checked eBay and Amazon also and the 3rd party remotes look terrible and are only slightly larger.

Does the voice remote ever go on sale?

Remote in question: Roku® Voice Remote | Roku Canada

The 4 year old standard remote is getting slow in response and buttons sometimes get less responsive(power button). Checked it on Amazon and saw the price history and it has never gone on sale. So has anyone seen it ever go on sale?

Ad glitch? Or did I just get lucky??

I just watched an entire movie on the roku channel with no ads. Was this just a glitch? Are there some movies that have no ads and I just didn't realize? Thanks!

Is Roku getting worse?

I've had nothing but issues with multiple devices lately. Constantly getting logged out, apps not responding, crashes, etc. I've reset every Roku tv I have to factory settings and reinstalled my apps, it's only a very temporary solution. I have a feeling Roku's insistence on constantly throwing ads down my throat is destroying their platform. My homescreen takes way too long to load when exiting apps, and the screensaver makes the whole system run slow.

TV Sensor doesn’t work anymore, Roku worked to turn on and off but all of the sudden stopped?

Hey yall! I bought a TV for cheap because the IR sensor was faulty, so the remote didn’t work (I tried many remotes, all had lights on so it’s definitely the tv sensor)

I plugged the Roku in and had it set up so the Roku remote turned the tv on and off, and all of the sudden the remote stopped turning the tv on and only turns the sound bar on, I can’t get it to turn the tv on and off again. Any ideas?

Side note: the sound bar also is weird, when using the Roku the sound cuts out a good bit, seemingly cuts out when the sound goes from silence to noise (ie. A character starts talking again after silence) but there is no sound delay. What could that be? It’s connected via optical cable.

Roku 55 in TV keeps losing the wifi connection

I use my Roku TV about 15 feet from the wifi router. I lose the wifi connection close to one a day. No other device in the house, phones/other devices ever has a problem. New Orbi mesh router with satellites. I look at the signal strength and it is fine as I suspected. To restore the connnection I go to system / power and restart the Roku. That's it. (If i just use the connect to wifi feature it will not "stick" on.

I'm getting to the point where I will find a way to bypass the roku and use a Chromecast stick if that would work.

Can't get Roku TV app "JME" to work on TV after $250 subscription. Only works on mobile phone

My grandparent who is japanese lost access to NHK and my grandfather paid $250 already through some mobile phone process to subscribe to a japanese media TV app on roku. He can access it through his phone and paypal accepted the $250 but when we try to log in on the smart TV with the same account it just asks to pay for a

subscription again. It's using the exact same logged in email as the phone. My grandma is angry and doesn't understand why the Roku wont show her japanese news and we need fast help.

Still can't stop Roku controller from controlling the tv and other Roku in the living room.

Still can't stop Roku controller from controlling the tv and other Roku in the living room, even though I told that living room Roku to forget that controller. The living room now has only the voice pro connected to it but in the Bedroom I have a regular voice controller that still controls the living room TV and Roku. Even when I told that Roku in the living room to forget the controller that still sends a signal from the bedroom to the living room, the living room Roku gave me a notification that if I ever touch the buttons on the bedroom regular voice controller it will still activate the Roku in the living room. how the heck can I stop this from happening? Can I just close the bedroom door and make sure the signal doesn't go over to the living room or will it still do that if I have the door closed? What else can I do?

What is the 65R6AX? Bought off Amazon, was expecting 65R6A5R

Does anyone know the difference between the 65R6A5R which is what Roku list as the model number for the 65" Plus on their site, vs 65R6AX which I received from Amazon?

One thing I found odd about the 65R6AX from Amazon is that the power cord is built into the TV.

Signed in automatically

I’m at a friends house who has a brand new tv and brand new Roku. I haven’t signed into any of my accounts myself (Netflix, Hulu, youtube, etc), but when we went to Netflix and Hulu I was automatically signed in. How does that happen? I recently changed my passwords so there shouldn’t be a compromised account.

Trying to get help for an issue.

So, giving Reddit a try to see if someone could give an answer to an issue with a 65” RCA Roku Tv. I actually have enjoyed my Roku, but as of Roku and IOS updates early/mid February, I cannot get Airplay to work, regardless how many troubleshoots or resets I perform. I can (on occasion) get Airplay mirror to work by resetting the internet connection, but still no Airplay stream from phone through app. I questioned via Roku support, and a reply came to disconnect my IPv6 or have my IPS do so. I have Xfinity WiFi, but is this truly the only way to restore function to Airplay. All my online searching has suggested this is not even an option for Xfinity customers. Help?

TCL 43P725 Not connecting to wifi

Hello, my TCL 43P725 randomly stopped being able to connect to the internet after I swapped to NBN wifi. I've tried to power cycle, factory reset, change the date, and I still cant connect to the internet. I also tried to connect to my hotspot and plug the TV directly into the router with an ethernet cable but both didn't work. Can anyone assit me with this issue?

Roku tv constantly crashing

Hey everyone. As the title says, the tv will constantly crash. For the past few weeks it’s been nonstop. The only thing is, whenever it stops, I can watch YouTube but nothing else. If I try any other app, it goes back to looping the crash. Anyone else have this issue? Or any suggestions?

Roku Disney + Error 73

Starting Saturday morning. I have been getting Disney Error 73 Disney+ is only available in certain regions. Depending on where you are located, you may not be able to access Disney+. If you think you are seeing this message in error, visit the Disney+ Help Center (Error Code 73)

I have tried factory reset/Clear Cache.

I changed to my hot spot and it works, but once on my home network it gives me the error. I haven't changed any of my router settings.
Also when I'm on my home network/Wi-Fi on my phone/laptop/ any other device Disney + works fine.

So I can't tell if its a Roku or my home network issue. Thoughts?

Last TNMT on Screen saver

So over the last few years it’s been bothering me some and I see others as well on an archived post. But on one of the screensavers there’s only 3 TMNT and can’t seem to find the last. But thanks to my 11 year old, I somewhat have a relieving answer possibly… In one of the comics Mikey becomes the last Ronin after the others get killed… could that be why there’s only 3 we can see?

Apple devices won’t connect to Roku

I just got a Roku Express but it won’t show up in screen mirroring. Everything is fully updated and everything that needs to be on is. Is this an issue I can trouble shoot or is the Roku Express just not compatible? If so are there other ways to screen share from my Apple devices to the Roku?

Roku app connected but nothing happens

So I've connected on multiple apps. My remote crapped out awhile back. I have been using a universal remote app, I've a roku remote app, and a hisense remote app. It's a hisense roku tv. I also bought a physical remote that won't connect. When all 3 apps connect, none will actually move or do anything when I press any button. I've tried turning tv off, resetting router, uninstalling the app, and hitting the reset button on the back. How can I fix this? No physical working remote

I have to sign into youtube every time

Used to I was signed into youtube and I'd stay signed in. Lately I have to sign in every time I open the app. Even if I sign in, go back to the roky home screen, without turning off the tv or if I let it go to the roku screensaver, if I go back to yt I have to sign back in.

Not the biggest deal in the world just a minor pita. Anybody else get this?

Will I regret going from Roku TV to Fire TV?

Hi, I have posted in the Fire TV group but I also wanted to get perceptive from Roku users. I recently broke my Roku TV. I notice that Fire TVs are cheaper. Have any of you switched from Roku to Fire TV and regretted it? I am a Prime member and mostly use it for the shipping benefits so I usually use other apps anyway. Not impressed with what's available on Prime Video.

Tv lag? Please help

Ok so with my Xbox (and probably other consoles) the tv takes long to pick up the controller. Like if I press a button, it’ll take a while to actually pick up the button push. No it’s not the controller, it worked fine on my other tv

Does Roku throttle the performance of their devices

I have 2 Rokus ultra I think the ones with the SD card. Had them for about 4-5 years keep in mind is not like I sit there and watch TV all day...but oddly enough they both started acting up...they ui feeesl sluggish...audio would cut out...

There is some lag on the browsing etc.

I had done everything possible new bateries, factory reset, got a new HDMI cable, clear the cache and nope still acting up...I am looking now to replace them but if the throttle older units to get you to keep buying them i rather get something else.

TIA
