Major disappointment on a warehouse item

So I ordered a warehouse item and the description only said box damage. The product has been sitting in the box almost a month, so Im glad I opened it in time to return it. Had bought it to use on pilled items. Was bagging up donations and had a light bulb moment, why don't I use this on my sweater? And to my surprise, not only is the product clearly used. Yes that's a big fuzz ball in there. But it isn't even the Conaire brand, just some weird Allisable brand? And this one has a cord. I felt majorly deflated and like wth when I opened it. My face literally fell when I realized this. They clearly do not check returns.

What happened to Amazon?

I recently tried to order a computer from Amazon after months of research. I got confirmation e-mails. I then found that the last 6 months of my order history was wiped from my account and that I cannot see my current orders. I was charged for a peripheral item and it shipped, and I have heard nothing about the laptop.

I called customer service every day for a week and basically they have said they are "working on it" and nothing has happened. It sounds like the same kind of clowns who do customer service at airbnb and just tactically give you the runaround.

Did something change at Amazon? Is anyone else experiencing this? This is like... I need to cancel prime and find another source for online purchases. Kind of ridiculous to lose your account for a week while they mysteriously charge or dont charge and ship or dont ship items and wont tell you whats going on.

Amazon dangerous driver on private drive speeding and beeping...decent no brake drift around my property though..lol

I was walking my dog on our private drive there is only a few homes in our private community. every ranch owner owns the road that borders their acreage and has to upkeep it..it is not city land or county.

we heard someone laying on horn and it was amazon driver speeding towards us..I gave him the slow down sign w hands (palms down). I told him as he was literally next to the 10mph sign and asked him to slow down. we are all old and walking dogs etc.

he did a huge burnout (,gravel road) dust all over and rocks and we gor it on video.

I just read an article on how the drivers are overworked and have to urinate in bottles etc. I don't want to complain but this Is not acceptable.

It's driving me nuts that prices are quoted inconsistently, how do I fix this?

My subscribe and save order includes two cases each of both turkey and ham baby food. The turkey displays the price per item and the ham displays the total price for both items. Is there a setting somewhere I can change to make the price display the same way for all of my subscriptions?

No updates in 1.5 weeks

I ordered on the 3rd, got this update on the 4th and so far that’s it. It’s expected to arrive in 1-2 weeks.

Reminder: Delete your cards from Amazon

This isn’t a cautionary tale, just a reminder. The other day when I got tempted to buy from Amazon again, I was stopped by realizing I would have to re-add the card I wanted to use and I am so proud of past me for removing them. It reminded me to buy from the manufacturer instead so I’m not scammed again. I think I had an Amazon addiction 😂 I have to fight to not think “I’ll just buy that on Amazon.” No one should ever have that much control over your buying behaviors, especially a company that scams so many people.

But another reason to delete them - if Amazon claims they are having any issues with one payment method, they could choose to use a different card. For example, if you cancel your Prime and Amazon “magically forgets” that you cancelled it and attempts to charge you again (that is why they are being sued), but the card you were using has already been removed, they will just charge a different one.

Bonus tip: if you want to continue to use Amazon, start taking screenshots of your purchases. Amazon is introducing new policies where they will completely terminate your account if they think you are a scammer. This means that if you keep having issues with your post office or porch pirates, they can call you a scammer and just terminate your account. You will have no way to see your orders and verify that you aren’t a scammer.

Hope this helped!

Been on "Package Picked Up By Carrier" for a few days

I'm a little unsure of how fast this process should be going since the product I bought is coming from Japan and is the first time I'm importing from Japan. On April 8th I placed the order and early April 9th it says it's shipped. I paid for express shipping so the delivery date is between April 12-16, but it looks like I haven't seen any movement at all with the package. It just says "Packaged Picked Up By Carrier" and no other updates. It has a Fedex tracking number and on the Fedex website it just says "Shipment information sent to Fedex".

I realize I still have until April 16 but I figured there would be some movement I can see via tracking, but I don't know I never imported something from Japan. Is this normal or should I contact them?

Want to return a mattress - Impossible to connect to a live agent. (Chat or Call)

Its infuriating I am here sitting and figuring out to get a hold of a single human amazon customer care. The callback I requested was an automated service. The chat feature is horrendous too. The bot keeps giving me option and no feature to type and request an agent. Ffs this is terrible.

Changes in Amazon customer service

I'm a longtime Amazon customer - 20 years and more than $100K in purchases. 98% of the time everything works perfectly, but when it doesn't, I've always found customer service to be helpful at quickly resolving any issues.

Over the past several months I've observed changes. Mistakes are more frequent and customer service is much more difficult to work with. Most recently, I was forced to contact Visa for assistance after three weeks of working with Amazon support with no resolution. This has never been necessary in my 20 years of being a customer.

Does anyone have inside info on what is going on? It almost feels like Amazon has switched to a different support team or perhaps leadership has made poor policy changes.

How should I proceed from here after this email?

For backstory, my amazon account was hacked into and the person who got into my account claimed a bunch of computer parts didn't come in(its been a month since they got delivered and I do have them in hand). He attempted it 7 times before someone finally gave him the refund via gift cards. I now have $300 in gift cards on my amazon account. Will they take the money from the gift cards or my bank account or will they not take it all? I also did explain to support I did not issue the refund and I have everything in hand.

STILL being charged for cancelled Prime trials in 2024

Anyone else having just glitch after glitch over cancelled trials? Every 6 months or so I get an Amazon Prime trial, and EVERY TIME I CANCEL IT I STILL GET CHARGED. Literally the 5th time it's happened. I have tried both options, ending benefits immediately and at the end of the month. Also there was the time where I clicked a link for a free trial on Twitch, got taken to the Amazon Prime signup page where it was apparent that I was not eligible for another a free trial, CLOSED THE TAB WITHOUT SIGNING UP, and still got charged for a month.

I think it's from using Firefox. Amazon doesn't take me seriously or investigate the glitches, or perhaps it's by design, but at least they refund the charge every time.

The emails they dont want you having.

About a year and half ago I had a MAJOR MAJOR issue with Amazon changing dates and my cat litter not arriving for days. I went OFF because to me not having cat litter when I ordered in time is akin to animal abuse. I went so so so off, and found every email I could find for the corporate office. Was surprised to hear back from them even. Ended up rushing the package to me and giving it to me for free as well as everything else in that order and gave me a gift card for the price of entire order (75). So these are them emails I had found and that led me to that success. primary@amazon.com,
amazon-pr@amazon.com, Aws-pr@amazon.com, ajassy@amazon.com. The person that emailed me back was from

ecr-replies@amazon.com

She was a real person with real answers and actually trying to figure out what went wrong and where. And her customer service attitude is RARE to see. She wanted to make me happy as a customer first and foremost.

SEE COMMENTS FOR RESPONSE TO JUST GO TO STORE. SOME PEOPLE ARE SO PRIVLEDGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ABLEST SCUM!

Packaged for swiped

Package got swiped So my coffee beans were stolen. Ordered from prime. They left package in vestibule (usually they leave in lobby but they didn’t get buzzed in). They took a pic of it in the vestibule. It’s gone. It’s only $22 but do I have any recourse? Thx.

The ads are ruining the Fallout series

Weaponised ads are a deep evil, and they are now cutting in mid scene while trying to enjoy Fallout.

Fuck Amazon, I'm pirating the rest and refunding my sub.

Amazon is using my name and address for returns, and I can't stop it?

This is so bizarre, but about two years ago, I got an Amazon returns package in the mail, addressed to "Returns Department", then my name and address. It was a set of bright pink towels. I contacted Amazon, they essentially said "We're sorry for the bother, don't worry about it. You can keep or discard the towels." I found this to be really strange, because clearly my name somehow showed up in their system on someone else's account when they initiated a return, but it was going nowhere with Customer Service so I gave up.

Cut to now, I have received dozens of packages of towels. Probably over 30 at this point, I don't know, I've stopped counting and have just gotten used to it. I contacted Amazon every time for the first ten packages or so, and every time they said I didn't owe them money, I could do whatever I wanted with the towels, they were sorry for the inconvenience, etc etc. They genuinely seemed not to care or not believe me when I told them this was happening over and over, though I have to imagine there is a towel seller out there who must care a great deal that all of these returns are disappearing.

My concerns are renewed, because this week, I got a "returns" package from Amazon, but this time it had men's turtlenecks/sweaters in it. It's previously only been the towels, so I've assumed my address is somehow erroneously in their system for a towel seller, but this seems like an entirely different seller I'm getting returns for. I contacted them, they told me the same shit, but I've probably received hundreds of dollars of product from Amazon at this point, with no digital footprint that I can access to show them.

Customer Service seems totally unbothered by this series of events and tries to end the conversations as quickly as possible, but I don't want to wake up accused of running a scam or whatever the day someone decides to look into this. I feel like there's nothing I can do, has anyone else heard of anything else like this happening?! (Also, if I do really get to keep the product, why does it have to be towels and not like iPads or fancy spices or something!?)

Account temporary locked (submission under review for a month)

So basically 2 or 3 weeks ago my account was temporary locked due to suspicious activity.

So I tried to log in to my account they asked me for some billing documents that I need to fill to prove that I'm the one who bought the stuff and so I did that.

They said they'll check within 24 hours its been almost a month and still the same bullshit every time I log in I see "Submission under review".

I tried contacting customer service from other account I told them about my problem they kept saying "I contacted the right team they'll fix this within 24-48 hours" Its literally been like a whole week nothing happened they didn't contact my email they did nothing. anyone is going through this too or is it just me I really need help if possible Thanks!

Can I shop on the UK Amazon from the US?

I have a friend who lives in the UK. I want to buy them a gift. When I do it from the US version, it adds money on for the extra shipping and all. Is there a way I can just order for the UK, on the UK site, from the US and avoid the extra fees?

They keep signing me up without my permission

Look, I can see this convo has been done, but I want to rant. I'm visiting this sub right now because I was gonna see if anyone has experienced this, and they clearly have. I stg they have signed me up for prime without my consent for the 5th fucking time. And the only reason I noticed - like every time - is because I got charged for it. At this point I'm going to manually add and remove my card whenever I need to buy something. I want to delete my account, but I need to use it sometimes. It's not worth it.

Laughable potatoes

I find this hilarious and would love to meet the person that did it. When I find a good deal on Amazon for food staples I will usually purchase. This time I found a 6 pack of potato buds for a good price and ordered not thinking much more about it. A week later (amazon prime) one box of potato buds arrived in mailbox with the address label slapped on the front, potatoes leaking out all corners of the box. This box was floating around the mail delivery system for a week leaking its contents who knows where. Of course no idea where the other 5 might be. I did get a refund but is there no such thing as common sense anymore? Ya gotta laugh.

Purchased shoes on Amazon, delivery date kept getting pushed back and after cancelling order I haven't gotten my money back and there's no history of the purchase?

I purchased shoes and spent a month and a half waiting for them to come-- the delivery date kept getting pushed back. I got tired of waiting and cancelled the order to get a refund. I haven't received a refund and when I check both my bank account and credit card there is no history of the purchase. So am I just out $160? This is incredibly frustrating, I can't find a way to contact Amazon and I don't want to try searching online because of the hundreds of scam numbers that pop up.

Does third party returns affect return ratio?

A few months ago I got an email saying I was return too many things and I was warned. I called Amazon and the representative told me to try to limit my returns moving forward to keep my purchase return ratio down. Since than I haven’t returned anything I bought on Amazon but I haven’t bought much. Mostly digital purchases like movies and kindle books.

I bought some clothes for $160 and was sent the wrong size from a third party seller. The seller wants me to return them and rebuy it. Will a third party return affect my return ratio? Don’t want to lose my account!

Can I somehow dispute quality of service? I did not pay for commercials in movies

So I paid for Amazon Prime, second year in row. No commercials in Prime Video was the reason. Now they changed quality of this service significantly by adding (very loud by the way - not complying with EU regulations) commercials. This is not what I paid for and I would not pay anything in the first place knowing it will become this.

Any way how to defend myself? Its like buying suit and before using it for second time seller of the suit came to me, splash shit all around the suit and told me cleaning is for added fee.

Dual country use, am I missing something?

I live in the UK. I have a holiday home in Spain, and I'd like to order a few items. If I use the .co.uk site, they will ship to Spain, but I'm concerned about import duties (I'm assuming items will ship form the UK, not the local delivery hub?). I can use the .es site, but my prime membership doesn't carry over. Does anyone have experience of this?
