The item was listed as "Used - Acceptable." The description mentioned that the damage is only cosmetic, which I don’t care about as long as it’s still working. It’s being sold by Amazon Warehouse (Amazon Resale). I’ve bought many items labeled "Used - Acceptable" before, and they practically came brand new. However, I’m not sure about the return policy for international purchases.
Do I have to pay for return shipping if the damage is more than cosmetic?
Does anyone have experience with this?
I got the email saying that I need to send them ID for refund, when I didn’t requested return for refund or replacement. Do I need to send ID or forget about it? Will it happen for future returns?? Have anyone had same issue?
Thank you in advance and this was what amazon sent me,

I received a gift from a friend who got me a elgato stream deck in white, my entire setup is black and I was wondering if its possible to exchange the unit to a black one to match or if I should try putting a skin on it. Would amazon let me do an exchange for this to black? would I need to give them an order number or anything?
Haven’t used this account, or prime in general, in months. Is there any way that I can dispute this charge??
Initial interaction, same day I ordered the item (Black Friday)
contacted CS again after receiving item, got transferred almost immediately.
This person tells me that what the OG rep said was wrong.
After cooling down I reached out again didn't go any better and got transferred once again.
Placed a large order over Black Friday, we're having a kid early next year so wanted to get stuff while it was on sale. I added a bunch of things directly from my registry list and one of the items was originally on sale for a flat % off but changed on BF to be a coupon instead. Since I didn't add it from the product page the coupon didn't apply. I noticed the issue very quickly and reached out to CS within a few hours who then told me they could apply the coupon but only after the item was delivered. Waited it out a couple days until swaddles came and messaged again. You can read for yourself but basically I was 'hung up' on, ignored and later told they could only have helped me before the item was delivered. Genuinely the most infuriating CS experience of my life.
Honorable mentions that don't get a whole post:
Ordered post-partum wipes that had a giant shipping label obscuring the entire ingredients list/expiration date/instruction. It came in a bubble mailer.
Ordered a pair of shoes, size was a bit too small. No option to exchange them. Refund and re-order only. Money says it will take 30 days to refund.
Baby Vaseline came with damaged lid and no inside seal, no option to exchange either.
Never use the baby registry from Amazon, if someone else orders something from it you don't get a proper return window. The vaseline delivery was delayed to 11/30. Went to return it today on the app and it said return window was until 11/28... 2 days before I even got it smh. I had to return a couple other things that did come on time last week and was given less than 2 days to return them... on a gift receipt. The items I ordered myself all came from the registry too, was given 2-3 month return windows. I have no idea why there's such a big difference. Hopefully the return works, we'll see.
I ended up re-ordering the swaddles and setting up a return for the ones I have sitting on my shelf right now (thankfully I had a feeling and didn't open them), it gives me joy at this point to know Amazon is wasting money and labor on 2 whole unnecessary shipments. It's small, in reality it's more pain for me than them, but it's the only consolation I have from this fucking headache.
I received this message with my order on a limited edition item. What are the chances the order gets canceled?
I purchased a laptop. Two days after purchasing the device, the price dropped a $100. I reached out even though I know the policy. I was told to return the laptop.
I am struggling to understand why Amazon would rather pay for shipping and processing time than give an adjustment against their own price changes.
Anybody understand the logic and reason?
My order came inside a slandered amazon envelope, when i opened it the box inside was opened and ripped. has anyone else experienced this? anyone who works at amazon or any ideas why?
Ordered an air mattress from Amazon, and it showed up with a hole. Both boxes were perfectly intact, so I reached out to customer service. The first rep asked for pictures, which I sent. Their brilliant solution? A pathetic $5 coupon. When I refused, they claimed they’d issue a refund instead.
A week later—still no refund. So, I followed up, only to find out they never even issued it. And that $5 coupon? Nowhere to be seen.
Amazon, how did you go from being reliable to this dumpster fire of incompetence?
I ordered an item that was on sale and in stock. Don't have prime membership so estimared delivery is 4 days later. The day after I ordered, the item went out of stock. Just wondering if their system will hold my item according to order time or they will prioritize prime members and might end up cancelling my order since it's now out of stock?
Im not really complaining but wonder how often this happens. This happened to me for the first time over Black Friday weekend ordered this stuff on Friday and it was supposed to be 1 day well they missed the window then said it would be there Sunday at 6PM but no tracker or anything and now it’s just straight up lost and I thought the message was funny. How often does this happen? Im not in a remote area so idk what happened
So I ordered a new strap for my VR headset 2 days ago. When I bought it, I was in no huge rush to get it. So I chose the “No Rush” option that said it would be here on Friday so I could get the 7% cash back.
Well, today it says that it’s “Currently Unavailable”. Not sure if that happened later the day I bought it, yesterday, or today. My question is, is my order safe? It does not show as shipped yet. When I ordered mine, does (in theory) secure me having one of what they had in stock before it was unavailable?
I mean hey, it was a package of $8 dishwashing gloves but still, I'm getting a little suspicious of delivery drivers.
I used a card, and it got declined. My order is waiting there in my account and waiting for me to change the payment option. I will have money in a couple of days. Is that enough time, or will my order be cancelled and will I need to order again? If so I'll miss out on the black Friday sale price that I got.
After I told my dsp my vans alignment is off she proceeded to give me that one every shift (I’m in upstate ny where there’s snow so this is an issue). Also my device yesterday was turning off everytime I tried to scan stuff so had to use my phone which has no case, asked for a new device didn’t get one. Got into work today didn’t realize the see you next Tuesday have me the same device, so when it started crashing out I crashed out and got as many distracted drivings as I could. Stick it to the man!!
They received my return today and was kind of hoping to not wait 2 weeks for a refund.. mostly due to the fact that Christmas is getting closer and closer.
The last month has been horrendous with shipments and we have at least 2 warehouses in our town. Packages lost, delayed, damaged. I tried to get an answer from a CSR today and they said it was a technology failure with the shipping/tracking equipment they use but I highly doubt that. Anyone else in the same boat?
I contacted customer support and they told me to keep all of the packages that were wrongfully delivered to my address. While I am excited about this, l'm also nervous that Amazon is not going to re-issue shipments or refunds to the people who placed these orders, especially with the holidays right around the corner.
Can anyone with more knowledge tell me how this process works? Will the customer have to dispute this with Amazon or since I provided the tracking ID for each package, will Amazon automatically issue re-shipment of these items?
I just want to make sure these people get their items or a refund so I can stop feeling guilty. I have no faith in Amazon to do the right thing since they're all about profit.
Tia
I ordered this around 12:00 PM and selected same-day delivery. It just arrived now.
So I ordered a fairly expensive item (1300€) came earlier then expected (delivered by a 3rd party not Amazon itself) now the tracking said I’d come by today but now the status changed to it’ll be there by 5th of December and then when I pressed the contact the seller button it said the order has been cancelled and I also haven’t been charged for it what do I do?
I live the Caribbean and I just bought a GPU that was above 200 dollars, I was asked about the one time password, the thing is I use a courier to bring the packages to my country and the address I use is the courier's. I can't receive the package myself or give the password to whoever is going to receive the package from the couriers company, therefore I opted out, I unticked the box to require the password. Was it the right thing to do? I've purchased from Amazon many times and used this courier service for years but never had to use this one time password thing before. Hope you can help me with this topic.
I know amazon has gone downhill the past couple years. Obviously not all drivers are great but i feel like most of them have a really good work ethic by getting packages to your house with insane deadlines. I can’t even imagine how grueling it is to get packages to so many houses on time. Does anyone feel the same?
I used to get two items to get the $1.50 back. Recently I ordered one thing and got $1 back - maybe because of the holidays? So just now I went to order a few things I could stock up on and zero rewards.
Sure, there are some things sold via amazon but shipped by somebody else - those don't qualify. today's stuff was all prime and "fulfilled by amazon".
Surely there is some smart thing I am missing.
A little help please?
I called Amazon about this beforehand, but they didn't really seem to understand either. So basically, I purchased two items in one order - one of them has already arrived, the other is yet to ship. I do not want the item that has arrived because it doesn't work properly, so I started a return - However, the refund amount being returned says that it will be the full cost of the order (the item being returned + the item that has not arrived).
Is this just a visual error that will update if the other product ships? I'd like to keep that one but I'm not sure when it'll actually start shipping, since it seems to be held up. I'm assuming I should wait until the other item to start shipping before I send out the other one? Has anyone else ever been in a similar situation?
Every once in awhile, I get the option for a $1 digital credit if I select a delayed delivery date.
Here's the thing. I pay way too much for Amazon Prime because I want 2 day delivery. I've never wanted Photo, Video, Wine Club, Fresh Lettuce, Pharmacy, Hippie Jukebox Tunes, or Sin-Free Sunday. Just 2 day delivery.
They've jacked the price on that from 59 to $139.
They are also not trying to do ME a favor by offering to "save the sea turtles" by delaying all my packages until Thursday and shipping them together.
Worst thing is, those credits expire. Quickly. If they never expired or even lasted a year, I'd consider it. So any time I see that bullshit offer, I always select the quickest, free delivery time. Whether I need it fast or not,
I somehow got a charge for One Medical on my card that I didn't do. Maybe a family member did it by mistake, but nevertheless when I went to customer service to request a refund I was told it would go through but it never did.
I can only assume the customer service lied to me.
This is a small kitchen appliance, which arrived without its internal packaging, doesn’t work, had long black hair stuck to the tape, and as can clearly be seen, is a returned item. What I’m even more pissed about is that I now have to drive my ass across town to drop it off at Whole Foods to get my refund. Unfuckingbelievable. Am pretty close to canceling Prime.
