I’ve been searching every genre through A-z looking for this show. If you search for it you get results for the new true detective series. I am curious is hbo took it off, but it was one of their most successful shows. Websites like prime and imdb are saying it is on Max. Does anyone knows what happened to it or where to watch, any help would be much appreciated.
Just what it says. I decided to watch MythBusters, and despite match aspect ratios, MythBuster is zoomed out, like a seedy video site trying to pass 720p as 1080. Technically true? It's the same aspect ratio. WTF Max? I could understand if it was a visually beautiful looking show trying to display the accurate resolution for purists, but this is shot on early 2000s prosumer video cameras. It's not about the visuals.
On the app it says cancel through Roku. I go to my Roku subscriptions and it isn’t there. But on my bank account charges it says billed through Roku. I called Max to try and cancel it and they also said it was billed through Roku. I only use one email, it is the correct one. I am on the phone with Roku now and they say they can’t cancel it because it’s not billed through Roku. What can I do?!?!
First off I know this is kind of on me for not catching it sooner but we recently went over our finances and noticed we have been paying for HBO MAX 3 times a month 3 different ways. Once through Amazon, once through Roku, once through Apple. This has been going on for years! My question is how does this even happen? Also, wouldn’t be wasting my time if I called HBO and asked for some sort of refund? Again, I get it. On me for not catching it sooner but how does this even happen if I already have one account with them?!
I was loading into max to watch tslocg and saw these random letters and numbers flash up on the screen before it loaded. Any idea what this is?
So... I'm from the Philippines and we used to have HBO Go before Max came here, before that subscription expired it transfered when I downloaded Max. But now... it's been months and my subscription still hasn't expired. It's supposed to end on November 30th. I think I might have it forever? Not that it's a bad thing, just wondering if other people have experienced this.
(this all happened on the Web page and iPhone app)
Two and a half weeks ago, I watched the "church of mother god" documentary with some friends in Spanish audio with English subtitles. But by the end of that week, it was gone and Max doesn't even offer the Spanish subtitles anymore either.
I checked today, and that remains to be the case. Is this some bug or is there anything I should do to correct this? It just doesn't make sense to me to take away those options, because I'm in the US, and blocking foreign language dubs would be a loss of clientele here. (also they paid to get those dubs done too like wtf)
And does anyone know where to watch hair raising hare alternatively?
I love watching international series and am a sucker for a good soapy show, so I was intrigued when I saw a new Brazilian series on MAX pop up called Scars of Beauty.
Beautiful people, beautiful places, Great music and DRAMA? Sign me up!
Oh. My. God.
The first fifteen/twenty minutes is very "daytime soap opera/telenovela", but it looks a lot more polished. The dubbing is good, but I switched over to subtitles so I could hear the original voices. Some of the subtitles are a little wonky, but I preferred the overall experience that way.
But the plot has all of the hallmarks of a classic telenovela (wild coincidences, backstabbing, affairs, scheming), and the performances feel a little over the top at first, compared to US shows. But once you sink into the vibe, it's nonstop popcorn fun.
And then, kind of out of nowhere, sh*t gets REAL.
Like, the twists and turns are crazy and the end of the pilot literally left me with my mouth hanging wide open.
Instead of just going to bed like a normal person, I ended up binging all five available episodes, and was a hot mess at work yesterday. But it was totally worth it.
I looked it up, and apparently there are a lot more episodes coming (!!!), and I really appreciate that MAX is rolling them out in chunks instead of all at once.
I was not expecting a show about fashion and cosmetics and Rio to go so hard, but I love it!
Now I need to plan a trip to Brazil!!!
I loved ER, but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to watch another emergency department show starring Noah Wyle. I watched the first 2 episodes before bed and then did not sleep. Was it because of the horrible and graphic thing that happened to someone’s leg? No. It was the word blown and the implications of it that was enough to keep a mother up all night. I don’t know that I need to be watching this.
I used to watch Dexter's Lab, PPG (classic), Courage the Cowardly Dog and Mike, Lu & Og on the Dutch Cartoon Network when i was a little kid. I really want to have these shows on HBO Max Netherlands so that someone can record the Dutch dubs for me (for preservation), but i've honestly lost hope that Max will ever have these cartoons in Europe. Especially the latter.
Note: I never really watched Johnny Bravo or the Eds. I kinda hated those two shows, sorry.
And some bonus trivia: Ironically, the only acquired program i watched on CN Netherlands (the first five seasons of Thomas the Tank Engine) is easily available in Dutch in almost it's entirety, thanks to DVD releases.
If you plan to watch this, you need a strong stomach. Especially for episode 3. I feel nauseous. This piece of shit is a sociopathic sadist, it's so much worse than one could imagine.
Since Max doesn't want to list them on their press releases, these movies and shows are leaving during February 2025 in the U.S. region. Most of these titles were located from YouTube TV and the Last Chance tab which can usually be found by clicking the search button or movie tab. Additional titles announced as leaving Max through Prime Video or other platforms will be added at a later date. Thanks to February being the shortest month, most of the expiring titles were revealed a little earlier.
*Removal dates are subject to change. As of now, all titles listed below their expiration dates will leave at 9 PM PST.*
*The oldest episode of Real Time With Bill Maher will leave Max every Tuesday night*
*Starting on February 13, the oldest episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver will leave Max every Thursday night*

I have HBO MAX thru Youtube TV which is like $17 a month. I saw they have a bundle with Disney and Hulu advertised at the same price.
If I cancel MAX thru YoutubeTV, the service will still be available til mid February due to the billing cycle.
Does that mean I have to wait til mid Feb to sign up for the MAX bundle?
Introducing trashy reality shows was the start, but getting rid of a lot of animated content from DC and Cartoon Network is massive step in the wrong direction. In my opinion, one of the biggest selling points of HBO Max when it was first created was the caliber of legacy content from its various brands such as Warner, Turner Classic Films, HBO, DC, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, etc.
The animated content is in particular is beloved by many for creativity and passion behind them, what it makes it all the more disheartening that WarnerDiscovery decided that those are less relevant than reality shows for lowest common denominator. Seriously, TLC is a channel that the world is would honestly be better off without. I hate how much it forebodes the direction of Warner was a whole.
I need something to watch! Something with good script, acting, character development. I’m rewatching Superman & Lois, and the cheesiness is killing me.

When i try changing the language in the URL i just sends me to Nerherlands HBO Max...
And i wanna know if the page has been localized in my language.
What are your thoughts?
So I literally don't know where else to go since all the support pages only give me articles and I'm having trouble trying to find an email or some way to contact anyone about this issue.
I recently canceled my yearly subscription to Max, why pay for this service if it keeps taking down shows I love, and when I was trying to watch shows on the app on my phone, the "something's wrong error" error would keep showing up even after all the troubleshooting I can do.
I figured since there are many stories of the app being broken, I'll just try to watch on desktop, but it seems like I've lost complete access to the service as only the first episode of mythbusters and movie trailers are the only thing I'm able to stream.
When I go to my subscriptions, it says I still have my subscription until the 26th of May so I come to this reddit to see if there's anyone else with a similar issue and if they know what to do or where is it I can get in contact directly to someone who can help me resolve this issue because I have no clue where that info is.
Thanks!
I'm just dying to see it again.
So for those who have watched the season three finale of the show. What were your thoughts on it and what did you like or not like about it and why? Also what were your thoughts on this season in general? I put a spoiler tag so everyone who has watched feel free to say whatever cause I said there would be spoilers.
I've noticed auto previews got turned back on and now there are two items you have to turn off (auto preview and auto preview for your shows or something like that).
Previously (just a few days ago) you could hold down on the select button to delete a show from your continue watching but that isn't working on my roku (I also have the firestick).
Leads me to think the app just got updated?
