Does anyone know how to actually buy an AirTV Anywhere device from Sling if you're already a subscriber? I've subscribed to Sling for several years now, but I want to add my local OTA channels to my guide as well as record OTA shows. But try as I might, I can not figure out how the heck to order this stupid thing, and chat support hasn't been any help.

All order buttons on the AirTV site redirect me to https://www.sling.com/supported-devices/airtv-mini but this page only shows offers for new SlingTV subscribers. There is no option here to just buy any of the AirTV devices. If I click the "Get Offer" button on any of these, I'm asked to create a new Sling account. If I select the option at the bottom that says "Already have an account?" and then sign in, I'm redirected to the SlingTV guide instead.

In the Help Center, I found the "Watching Local Channels on Sling TV" article, which has a link that says "Learn how to purchase an AirTV device"... but that link just sends me back to the same page as before (https://www.sling.com/supported-devices/airtv-mini) with no option for existing customers to buy one.

I contacted chat support and they told me the offers are only available to new customers, and told me that "since you are already a member you will need to got to amazon , best buy or even wallmart". But there are multiple reviews on Amazon stating that Sling wouldn't honor the warranty for devices not purchased from them, and the chat support representative confirmed this to me as well, saying "you have their guaranty I am terribly sorry but Sling no longer accepts 3rd party returns or refunds. You would need to reach out to the company that sold you the device. if in any case it doesn't work"

So... uh... what the actual heck am I supposed to do here?

TNT is such low quality. By comparison I have the Bally Sports app on my Apple TV and the picture quality is so much better. What gives? Hockey on ESPN on Sling has been fine. TNT yesterday was fine, definitely not this bad.

I’m trying to watch the NHL playoffs and it’s borderline unwatchable. Feels like I’m watching on VCR. Anyone else having this issue? Netflix and Hulu are perfectly fine so I don’t think it’s my internet

Just bought the AEW PPV Dynasty. Bought it before 8, its 8:30 and it has not shownup on Desktop, Phone, TV, or Xbox. I can find any way to contact anyone. Any suggestions. I've logged in and out more times than I can count on each device and nothing. Is this normal with sling?

Did sling pull the 20 dollar first time offer ? Or am I just not seeing it because I’m trying to do it on the same ISP I need cable for nba playoffs but I’d much rather pay 20 then 40. 40 just seems too high

My wife had been recording movies as they come out, but doesn't always watch them right away. She recently tried to catch up and when she tried to watch a movie from a year ago, she got halfway through and it bound up on her and she couldn't finish it. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a workaround? We don't come close to filling up the DVR. It wouldn't be so bad if they told us the movie wasn't available anymore, but to let us get part way through was very frustrating.

I'm thinking about getting sling, but I'm primarily gonna use it for sports, and I absolutely hate it when I watch sports on other streaming platforms that lag behind cable, and I'll get a notification from ESPN about a goal being scored before it happens while I'm watching the game. So I just want to make sure before I pay for a streaming service, that the lag Isn't so bad that I'm gonna be paying for that to happen. Because it's already bad enough when it happens when I'm not paying for it

Tested between non-updated built in android tv Sling app, and updated sling android app on Shield TV.

Pre update on Android TV, descriptions visible under each show/movie channel listing. After update, channel descriptions gone.

Checked settings in both, no visible option to turn descriptions back on.

And whatever other ones show up too.

I used the channel surfing functionality from the player. I wish it cycled through favorites/recent channels

I have finally set up my airtv2 so it is making my local accessible thru my sling tv. But I have spent hours and hours trying to set up the DVD on the airtv2. It does not recognize any hard drive or flash drive I attach to the unit. By not recognizing the presence of the hard drive/flash drive it can not format nor record. Anyone know what is causing this issue? Does anyone know how I can correct this problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

The Dodger game was on MLB Network and blacked out in Los Angeles, I get that. Why are MLB programs MLB Central and High Heat Blacked out on my DVR the morning after a blacked out Dodger game?

I would challenge SlingTV to put a POLL up regarding this, as I'm confident they would be overwhelmed with support for this request.

I would also encourage users to keep these requests active and maybe one day they will listen.

Howdy, all! I've cut the cord, but I am missing MSNBC. The cheapest option I can find is Sling Orange, which bundles that channel. But reading through this subreddit, it seems like I'll have to deal with random ads during the stream, which is not acceptable.

Does anyone use Sling Orange? How is the experience? Am I really going to get random Sling ads during live TV?

I just changed my Internet provider, and as soon as I did, I lost my local channel. Sling told me to call my provider to have my IP address match my zip code. My internet provider, Verizon, said they can’t because they are “dynamic” and the IP address can change at any time. Any suggestions on what I can do to keep Sling and get my local channel back?

I wanted to get sling tv for a month for the nba playoffs. Do you guys recommend it. Is there a lot of ads? Does it buffer? Is it clear?

Idk if this is just me or whatever but I was watching the NASCAR Race today and Sling was interrupting the broadcast with their own ads. I eventually got annoyed enough that I watched the rest of the race on the FOX Sports app. Does anyone else have this problem or just me?

I waited 15 Minutes for an agent to chat with. I was told the free channels couldn’t be removed from the guide. All I want to see in the guide is my total TV package channels. I know I could favorite them but I use my favorites on the guide for sports only. Anyone know how to get rid of those free stream channels?

I recently bought a used air TV Anywhere. It seems I have to power cycle/reboot it every couple of days to keep it connected. Is that normal?

I am trying to record all episodes of a channel (Sun TV) in the Dakshin pack. I am not able to get the options 'All Epidoes' and 'New Episodes' to shows up. There are 2 to 3 TV Shows I am interested in and it's painful to do this for each episode on a daily basis.

Anyone know how to workaround this restriction?

Also, would you recommend the “NBA League Pass” instead for a dollar more per month? If I joined/upgraded to the NBA League Pass for $14.99 per month, is that service a fixed rate per month or does it increase in price per month later on?

Just a heads up. From now on, use a prepaid card for sling service. For starters, they won't honor their own promotions. They will over charge you and they won't correct the issue. And, they won't even allow you to speak to a supervisor. Customer service is horrible and company ethics is horrible.

I told chat I cancelled the service about three years ago and was thinking of coming back and asked if I can take advantage of the $20 for your first month deal?

Chat said "Option to redeem it while restarting an old account isn't an available feature for that offer"

I said I was planning on opening a new account since I know longer had the old account info and was told
