The sling app on the Amazon firestick 4k max sucks. I have to clear the cache to be able to load the next recording on the air tv anywhere. Is there any other way to make this work... Besides dumping the firestick.

Am I the only one experiencing the problem of a recording of a 2.5 hour NBA game getting cut off the last few minutes of the game? My wife and I are about ready to take the AirTV box to the driveway and run over it a few times.

The "help" page on the Sling web site tells me this:

For new live sporting events (not replays), the DVR will automatically add 45 minutes to the recording if the event is scheduled for 2 or more hours.

That is definitely not happening. I know that since this is an OTA broadcast, AirTV is recording, but the rule should be the same.

Other than having to schedule recording the show right after the game, has anyone else found a better solution?

I just purchased an Airtv Anywhere to replace my Airtv but now I can’t pull in METV and FOX seems pixelated many times. Should I get an LTE/5g filter or disconnect the powered amplifier? For context the Airtv had no dvr so it’s looking like the hard drive may be causing the issue.

I was trading messages today with someone out of state about something I’m trying to buy. In the course of the conversation, he mentioned having ‘some broken sling boxes.’ I’m familiar with TiVo series 3 & 4 repairs. Does anyone know what is likely to be broken in Sling boxes, what can be fixed, what questions I need to ask him, etc.? I’ve never owned a Sling box but I refurbish older computer stuff so I’m wondering if this is something I can do. Thanks in advance for any help.

I signed on for sling tv with intention of streaming live tv and getting some cable channels. I quickly found out that live tv was not available for all networks in my area without and antenna. I can get that for free so I requested a cancellation and refund but they refuse to refund me the full amount

I was on a chat with a Sling rep and they mentioned all of their channels are 1080p and 60 fps. Can anyone confirm? Doesn’t seem like it to me when I okay it vs. Sunday TicketZ

I just hope there's no issues today with the recordings not being released for at least a day or two of WWE events, Monday night raw and smackdown.

So....Last night before bed, I noticed that my recordings on my Sling DVR were not showing in the display of recordings. Only my AirTV shows were showing. The hours were showing that they were there (showed 39/50 hours recorded), but it was not displaying the actual shows. I have had plenty of issues with Sling before. Sometimes the problem resolves itself overnight, so I crossed my fingers & went to bed. When I looked earlier today, still now Sling DVR listings, my recording space was now maxed out (going to lose old recordings I haven't watched yet), & only my non-Sling channels are showing in my guide. I have no way of erasing recordings I don't want (I usually cx recordings I don't want every morning. Sometimes it actually works, but often I have to del them after they record). I have already turned the TV off, & unplugged both my gateway & my AirTV*, then plugged them back in.

Any information from anybody who has had this happen, & figured out a way to resolve it, would really be appreciated ! 🙃🙂

Edit: Forgot to mention that the shows I normally record from Sling channels, are not showing up in the scheduled listing (not recording).

Sling hasn’t provided me with my local NFL team(eagles) the past 2 weekends. I called and confirmed the billing address zip code, and the caller was also confused why I didn’t get the game either.

Has this happened to anyone?

Every other streaming service works fine. Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, Paramount+, and so on; I can watch them all for hours without a problem. When I try to watch a show on Sling, it overheats my laptop within about 6-7 minutes. I can watch the same show on the network website without a problem.

It makes me wonder, what sneaky background programs is Sling running in order to cause this? It certainly isn't higher resolution. . .

What gives?

Can anyone tell me which plan i should get to watch NHRA, Bassmasters, Adult Swim, Nickelodeon?

How long does it take to scan for first time setup of AirTV Everywhere? Setting up with a iPhone and have tried iPad. It has scanned without changing screens or any progress indicators for ~20 + minutes. Thanks in advance.

Idk what's going on with the DVR system but since this past Monday, I've had issues. To preface: I love watching wrassling!

Monday night raw - "scheduled to record" instead of recording as it was happening live. It was almost a full 24 hours after the event where I was given access to the recording. Then sling gave me 3 different recordings of the same event which I eventually watched on Tuesday.

Then Friday rolls around, and now the same thing's going on! Cannot watch the recording and it says "scheduled to record."

Does anyone experience the same?

On my FireTv when I click to delete a show I have to confirm it. This is silly because if you accidentally delete a show you can undelete it from the trash. It just goes to my ongoing points that every update makes Sling worse.

Other than this, they changed the skip ahead and added an ad for DVR plus that takes up 1/4 of the DVR home screen.

I do have one thought though as to why they did this...they are going to eliminate the Trash for DVR.

I cut the cord long, long ago, and only got Sling recently, and I have a question. Are they slightly speeding up shows, especially the intros? I'm seeing shows that I'm very familiar with, but the play speed seems to be set to x1.25. Is this a streaming thing, or are they slightly speeding up their programming so they can cram as much ads in as possible?

We use sling on two tvs and we are only are having this issue on one of them. When we put any sling tv channel on a second audio from a different channel plays as well. Flipping through the channels doesn’t resolve this and I’m not sure what else would. Please help!

Is the air tv worth it. The one thing I miss since switching to sling is getting the local stations. It stated I was supposed to get Fox and NBC but I am not getting either😡. When I reached out to Sling via their chat, no way to talk on the phone to a live person they said they would work on it. They didn’t give me a reference number or anything so I suppose I just have to keep checking. So I tried an external antenna and it didn’t help. I don’t want to spend a lot of money on something that may not work. May just go to another streaming service.

Hi, I noticed both on the Android mobile app and and Onn Walmart 4K streaming device today that there is buffering every once in awhile.

I have a gigabit internet connection. And have had Sling for a few months now and have not seen this issue.

Is this a current issue?

Honestly Sling. 50 freaking dollars to watch TV and 85 percent of the time it skips, jumps back and forth and is constantly buffering. I have fantastic internet service and no problems with any other apps, JUST YOURS. I have been a customer for 6 years. NO MORE. I’m done. Your service is not worth the price of admission. You just lost a customer.

Does AirTV hardware come with a slingTV subscription? I can't find anywhere on their web site that covers anything related to AirTV. At one point I thought I saw a way to get one.

Started last week with Gutfeld. Stopped recording it.

Now, this week, all my Bravos shows are MIA. When I get home from work, it will show they are recording, but they don't show up in the DVR.

I went to Twitter and it seems like this is an ongoing, widespread issue.

Someone mentioned they were told by a Sling Rep that these programs elected to NOT have DVR capabilities so they can up their live viewing numbers...

Which, is not happening for me. The reason I DVR is because I work. And loathe commercials.

I've had so many issues with Sling over the years. I think when I cancel this time, it's for good.

Anyone else having issues?

Noticed a free MAX preview channel showing up so I looked at my account and saw options to add MAX to Blue, Orange, Orange/Blue for $12 more a month under the Base Services, or $17 a month under the Premium section. Maybe a bundle deal to start with? HBO East, West, 2, Latino, Family, Signature HD, Zone, and Comedy are the 8 channels.
