Anyone else suffering through audio lag for the Celtics/Cavs game?

It’s been brutal all game long, with an easy 4-5 second difference in audio and video.

This isn't really a YTTV issue - it's just that I record all NFL games Thurs-Mon and then watch them later. I know there's no electronic/programming way to hide the scores ticker all the networks use/display, I'm just wondering if anyone has come up with a clever way of hiding/obscuring that portion of the screen (short of using duct tape, LOL).

I'm sorely tempted to find a board (piece of fencing?) to block that area.

I have this turned off in my settings yet every time I start YouTube tv if launches the last channel we were watching.

Sometimes you can not hit the back button and I find it very annoying. Any solutions?

Everytime I click on the Youtube Tv app to watch tv I have to sign in and enter the code that is shown on the screen

This has been going on for a few weeks now

I unplugged the Roku stick power from my tv and plugged it into the wall and still same result

I have 3 other Rokus and I never have to sign back in and enter a code when I watch on those tvs

me and my family (5) we have finity cable tv and internet. we tried t-mobile 5g internet but it was too slow for our needs so we decided to keep xfinity internet and just drop the cable tv.

we thought about getting hulu live tv but decided to get youtube tv because of the ability to have all the shows and movies we buy and rent all on the same platform no matter what streaming device we use. technically just renting or buying on for example prime video would work too but we didn't want to to that. the only problem with youtube tv is we only like the on demand part we don't watch much sports so if anyone has better recommendations or services we should have on top of youtube tv for what i want it would be appreciated.

some questions:

what are some good streaming devices?

should i bundle with verizon?

anything else i should know?

When I un-pause in early August, is YTTV going to charge me additional? Nothing in the pre-purchase notices said anything about any membership price or differential to be paid if I suspend. The notices do say when I resume, my ST and RZ services will likewise resume. No mention of "same membership price."

No big deal if I just keep my YTTV sub active; I do kinda sorta use it, but just don't much in the summer.

I bought the ENTERTAINMENT PLUS bundle and I was wondering where on YouTube TV you can find the Max tab with all the max shoes and movies, same with STARZ, etc. without searching it up. similar to hulu.

TV is a Samsung from 2013 (not smart). I use Roku to access the YouTube TV app which loads fine and does everything it’s supposed to, except within the last couple days it will no longer actually play anything - I just get a black screen when I select a show. This is happening for both live and recorded content. Playback still works fine on other devices, and other streaming apps are all working fine on this TV.

I’ve reset the app, verified my playback area, and even did a firmware update for the tv via USB stick, but I’m still experiencing this issue. Any suggestions out there for what else I can try to hopefully fix this?

Does anyone have quality issues when watching sporting events on YouTube TV. It’s like everyone looks super red or dark to the point where you can’t see their face. Every other channel looks fine but live games the players look this way. Mainly basketball and baseball on ESPN or TNT.

How both of these channels are not available is just mind boggling. I am sure others feel the same way.

I saw the ad for the current Sunday Ticket deals for new subscribers. I was curious to see if there was any deal on my account since I had it set to auto renew. Not only was there no deal, the price was $50 more than last year (NFLST + Red Zone). Would it benefit me to cancel it and re-add it to get some sort or savings or is it just more expensive this year and the only way to get a discount is if you're a new subscriber?

I have the same login in at home but for some reason it isn’t letting me use my account on the phone.

It’s treating it like a new account and wanting me to sign up again.

I’ve logged out and logged in several times but the same thing happens.

Any advice?

I canceled my membership, the home screen is just too cluttered. There’s no need for that. And not being able to use it on a handheld device should not be this difficult. Google has a long way to go before they really make any kind of a splash in this space.

I always liked the feature in case of tuning in to a game late. Last few times with NHL games it was completely busted, the "key plays" were clips of random, mundane stuff or commercials. Seems the timing was off, especially using the list of them with times on the right. Even clicking that was off. Now I didn't even see it available for the Rangers game last night? Is it gone now?

So, when I open the app, I can see MSNBC playing in the little screen in the top left, but when I click on it (or any channel), I get a black screen with a white circle. Eventually, I get "there was a problem playing (playback ID: 5732aDInwahkT17y). The ID number changes each time I try. I can't watch anything. I've deleted and reloaded the app, checked for updates, checked my home location, cleared the cache. I'd take a screenshot, but YouTube doesn't allow screenshots. I use an Android-MotoG

I've done all updates. Uninstalled both YouTube/YTTV apps and reinstalled. Restarted the AppleTV. Not sure why only YouTube apps are the issue. I do not have options to fix at this point. I would prefer not to move to Hulu.... Thank you.

I got sick of waiting for a fix that may never come for Roku 720 playback on 1080 screens (https://www.reddit.com/r/youtubetv/comments/184sft2/eta\_for\_a\_fix\_to\_roku\_ultra\_46604670\_pixelation/), so I grabbed a new onn. 4K pro box (yay). On this new box, I have a few times now gotten YTTV into a state where the back button does nothing. There will be a channel playing, and I can hit down and go through the various menus there or ff/rw, and I can hit the back button a couple times to get rid of the bottom menu, but then back stops doing anything. I am used to the back button taking me back to the guide or home screen (which it still does most of the time). But, sometimes it doesn't. In this state I can still hit the home button to get back to the google tv launcher, and if I force close YTTV and go back into the app, then the back button works again.

Is there some state where the back button is supposed to do nothing in YTTV? Have others noticed this? Is this a "feature" of the google tv version of the app that doesn't exist on the Roku version (I have never hit this behavior on my Rokus)? Just some bugs to shake out in the new onn. device?

Yesterday I posted asking about enhanced pic and got educated on codecs.(Thanks). Tonight, the enhanced codecs are gone and the standard are back. WTH??? Why??? Phoenix. Sorry I posted now. Oy.

I've seen plenty of posts about users receiving the error "video format not supported" but not specifically reference the built-in YouTube TV app on the Samsung Frame TV. Whenever I try to play Live TV or any recorded show, I receive this error. So far, I've tried;

• Updating my location using my mobile device to validate it has the right location.
• Logging out of the YouTube TV app, then back in.
• Force-quitting the YouTube TV app on the Frame TV, then re-launching.
• Fully deleting the YouTube TV app on the Frame TV, then re-installing via the store, then logging in, and trying again.
• Updating the firmware of my Samsung Frame TV to the latest version.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what to try next? I have quite a number of devices in the household (Apple TVs, iPads, iPhones, Macs) and none of them are having this issue with playback, so it appears to just be the Samsung Frame TV.

Roku ultra. While watching channel x, I press and hold the OK button on the roku remote. I'm successfully returned to the previous channel (channel Y) as expected. Now I press the BACK button and what is displayed is channel x in the live guide instead of the channel that I'm watching which is channel Y.

Last fall I had cable tv for local NFL games and bought Sunday Ticket through YouTube to watch out-of-market NFL games. In the spring I cancelled cable tv and switched to YouTubeTV.

When I purchase Sunday Ticket for this fall, should I do it through YouTube or YouTubeTV? Also, when I go to watch Sunday Ticket this fall, will I watch it through the YouTube app or YouTubeTV app?

I’m guessing it’s not possible but I’m hoping others have found a way to make the service more user friendly.

Why doesn’t YouTube TV carry C-SPAN?

I just wanted to share this in hope of sparking thought and potentially advocacy around this issue.

Obviously this isn’t only about YouTube TV. Fubo doesn’t carry C-SPAN either. But I do think they probably both should (voluntarily).

There are times when I’ve missed having C-SPAN available and have thought about this and was glad to see an article on the topic.

Hey all. Bruins pq looks exceptionally clean tonight. Tv says 2160 60 because the stick is upscaling. But nowhere under app settings to select streaming quality. Stick settings on "up to 4k". Other display options have changed and now 2160 60 , 1080 60, and 720 60. But that's for all apps on the firestick. No place in yttv app itself to set streaming quality that I can see. How can I tell if it's enhanced quality? TIA.

I utilized the preview last month to check out YTTV, it looked pretty good and I decided to sign up yesterday.. I'm learning still but I don't see any 4k channels? I have the 4k option as well.. I just seem to recall some 4k channels when I did my preview.. Channels like FX 4k, Discovery 4k, etc.. I just don't see them... Am I misunderstanding these channels? Do they only come and go like 4k channels for ESPN, Fox Sport, etc? Just thought there were some full time channels...

I have 2 roku tvs and both have the youtube tv app and the live guide is different for both. One of them matches the settings on my account and the other doesn't. Any ideas how to fix the one that's wrong?
