Often when I've been watching recorded football games on my Roku set top box and I want to advance the content to skip ads or skip timeouts, the player hangs displaying a spinning circle. No amount of advancing or backing up will resolve the problem. I have exit from that recording, go to another one or a live show, exit that, then go back to the game. It's so annoying.

Has anyone experienced this same problem?

Does anyone know why my only chance to watch the new episode is right when it airs or I have to wait until the next day? I can’t watch it a few hours after it airs. When I go to “home” it only shows up in “scheduled” but not “watch now”.

Can anyone explain this? Or a work around? I don’t get home in time to watch it live, but I want to watch it later in the evening when it airs.

I noticed the yttv picture looks way better in my LG TV's built in yttv app vs my apple tv 4k. I'm looking at the stats the built in app is using 1080p enhanced (codec 412) but the apple tv version is not. I already tried uninstalling the app on Apple TV and reinstalling. Also the apple tv is hooked up via Ethernet to a 1gb fiber connection.

Is there anyway to force the 1080p enhanced mode to appear in the apple tv app?

Anyone else just getting an "Oops" screen when trying to watch YoutubeTV? I'm trying to watch the 49ers game, and I just get "Something went wrong" with a monkey.

I have RedZone and since they have to stop showing games when there is only one remaining, they say "Switch to your FOX affiliate to watch the conclusion of the TB-CAR game". But my FOX affiliate is showing TMZ.

Why does my NFL games stop playing then kick me back to the main login screen. I will be watching any NFL game on any channel when the game will buffer, stop and kick me back to my login screen. It doesn't happen with any other channel. Anyone ha e a diagnosis?

Does anyone seem to be getting a screen limit reached without actually having more than three screens going? I even have the 4K add-on, so the screen that I have going really shouldn’t count as I get unlimited streams at home but yet it still says I have reached my screen limit. Really only happens on Sundays with NFL action.

I can't call the bank on Sunday. Sheesh.

Hi everyone! I have a YouTubetv account and have shared it with a family member under the “family sharing”. He’s logged on and is a member under family sharing, but it won’t let him watch anything. It gives him a 20 minute timer to watch stuff and then after that it locks. Does anyone know why/how to fix it? Thanks!

ABC (and only ABC) has been glitchy all day. Artifacting on the screen along with audio distortion. Happens during ads as well as the football game on right now. Happens on my TV and my phone. Stats for nerds pasted below.

Looking to switch to YT TV. I mainly watch local news networks+ cnbc, and a lot of hockey. Controversial take for a male in his 30s but I just don’t care about football at all. My local hockey team is on fan duel most nights. I can’t find any package to get the wings games without also paying for Sunday ticket which makes the cost of any package with YT almost as much as I’m paying xfinity for a better interface ( as much as I hate to give them any credit). Does YT offer anything were I can see local sports specifically games on FD without buying Sunday ticket? Fan duels own streaming bundle is another 25 bucks a month and then I’m in the same build your own bundle problem I am now where I’ve got 10 services and I watch 4 of them for more then 3 months a year

TLDR: Logging into YTTV from phone when I'm physically in home area. Travel functionality doesn't work at all when I leave despite this - it appears to be a glitch and website support has been awful.

I travel away from my YTTV home area for extended periods for work, but always manage to make it back in time to login within the 90-day period. For the past few months, this hasn't worked at all; I'm able to login and get the app (on my phone) to recognize that I'm back in my home area, but when I travel and try to login on TV, it acts as though I haven't been home and I'm unable to watch my library.

Even more strange, when this happens and I try to login on my phone, it recognizes I'm travelling and makes me confirm that I'll have 90 days to log back in at my home area. But then when I try to go into my library, it goes back to saying I'm travelling and I'm unable to watch anything.

This is remarkably frustrating and I haven't been able to get anywhere with website support, who have decided I'm lying and there's no possible way the app could be experiencing technical difficulties.

Is there anyone who's experienced this and can help? I'm sadly on the verge of cancelling my account.

Can I just say how awesome the decreased broadcast delay option is? It’s so nice to watch a football game, and not get an accidental spoiler ESPN alert on my phone. Was just watching the Arkansas vs Missouri game, and even though my Hogs lost (again dang it 🤬) I was able to see the last play of the game BEFORE ESPN alerted me to what the final score was.

Using a Chromecast. When I rewind let's say 15 seconds, the picture is frozen for about 5 seconds but I can hear the sound. If I go back further, it will play fine and then picture freeze at the same spot. This has happened a few times now.

Second, I recorded the Ohio State game. The recording starts at the next game coming up but if I rewind, I can see the game was recorded. If I hit play, it just jumps to the end again.

Anyone seeing these issues?

I wish it had a "live now" Button. If you rewind or pause for any length of time, it doesn't seem to go back to completely live. I'd also like a jump button.

I’d like to add 4K to my subscription, but I’m getting a “server error” every time I try to add the service.

I contacted YouTube TV and they said it’s a Frontier issue. I contacted Frontier and of course, they said it was a YouTube TV issue.

What is the best device to stream YoutubeTV on? My parents currently have a Roku stick and I was considering upgrading them to a Roku streambar, but not sure if this would make a significant difference in quality. Should I explore other options (Chromecast/Appletv/etc)? Thanks!

Do I need to get at least 256GB for YTTV? Just wondering

I am using a PS4 for the YTTV app. 2 questions.

1. When I used to be watching something but wanted to see what else was on, I could hit the “O” back button, which would open the guide to the channel I was currently watching. If I hit “O” again it took me to the “Library,” “Home Page,” and “Live Gide.” From there I was free to roam around. If I didn’t find anything to switch to I could just go back into the Live Guide. Same as before, hit “O” “O” and either hit another “O” or press up. This would move the cursor up one more to select something like “Return to current program” and then I’m right back to where I started. Worked fine the entire time but I assume some update screwed this up. The option to return to the original program is no longer there and I have scroll back to it. A minor inconvenience but it is annoying and time consuming.Can’t find anything in the settings in YTTV, the app, or this sub on how to fix this.

2. Something else happened at the same time. When I’d be watching something but wanted to see what else was on, same process as above. Except now the sound goes out and the background is just solid grey. It used to keep the sound of the show going as it was still playing in the background. I didn’t lose my spot in the show (Could go right back in where I was as opposed to scrolling back to the program, selecting Start from Beginning/Join Live and then having to fast forward/rewind to get me back where I was). Again, I thought this was an update but was just at a relative’s house and their YTTV is acting the exact same way mine used to. They are using a Roku. Couldn’t tell you which one but it’s probably 3 years old.

3. Is more annoying than anything

4. Really gets to me as I can’t stand total silence. Couldn’t tell you why it makes me uneasy but it just does. And as everyone is aware, we can sometimes scroll for a while before choosing something else or staying with the current program. All the while, I’ve got bugs crawling up my skin.

The fact that I can't cancel and stop future payments that are over double the current promo is disgusting. I reached out to YT support and they basically said, yeah sorry about it. I see no reason I should not be able to cancel my current membership and rejoin for the significantly better price.
