Youtube on Samsung TV Issues

hey, ive had this TV for almost 3 years and rhis never happened before, it actually started last week, i woke up, and my Youtube TV was logged out, i didnt think much of it and logged in again, the next day simular issue, except i wasnt logged out, i just had to select one of the profiles on my google account, the next day i was logged out again, this has been happening all week, today is sunday so lets say on monday, wednesday, friday and sunday, i was fully logged out, but on tuesday, thursday and saturday, i was still logged in but had to choose youtube account, what can be causing it? and should i just reinstall the app or factory reset the entire tv?

TV library missing shows

The YTTV app on my tv is missing things in the library that the app on my phone has. On my phone I got to library and click on the show I want to watch and it has a “recent” tab and shows everything it recorded, new and old releases. On my tv, in the same show, it is only showing new recordings and is missing reruns. I can’t find them anywhere under the tab. The tab only has most recent new listings, then a “view more” button that just list new recordings in chronological order. All rerun type recordings are nowhere to be found. This is a sport, NASCAR racing, not a sitcom.

DVR recording previews blurred

All of a sudden, tonight, the icon previews for episodes of show in my library don’t show a picture from the episode. They’re all blurred out. Why?

Location Keeps Getting Set To LA.

TLDR I live in Michigan and my own android app has the correct location on my samsung phone.

When I log in to the browser version by requesting the desktop site it will quickly change it to LA.

Initially, I thought it was an issue with my ISP, but from every GEO tester I could find it gives me a location of michigan.

I do have two TVs one Roku and Hisense and they both report a location of LA.

When I go through the re enrollment process of the app while using my phone, my phone correctly says a michigan location while both tvs say LA.

I've power cycled my ISPs modem along with all network equipment. I did see an earlier issue posted in this sub about the app not loading on Rokus and Hisense's is this related?

Edit solved: I reached out to youtube tv and they walked me through re establishing the correct location. One of the comments I seen mentioned maybe this was due to my dual isps. It's working that's all I care about at this point. Thank you all for the help, you wonderful strangers!

Channel guide should have color channel logos

When scrolling the TV Guide the channel logos on the left side are all grey. It would be easier to identify channels when scrolling if the logos were in color. Channel logos in color stand out more and are more recognizable because that it how they are usual shown.

Entertainment Plus package and Paramount+

So I am subscribed to the Entertainment Plus package for $29.99/mo, which: "Includes Max, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, and STARZ"

Except that I don't get any of the Paramount+ shows, and when I try to log into the Paramount+ website via "Connect Provider" I get rejected?

Recordings ending early.

The last 2 or 3 recordings of different shows ended early where I missed the last couple of minutes of the show. I've never noticed this before. Anyone else experience this?

Not Recognizing Active Subscription

Last night while watching TV I started to get messages that my free trial had expired and YT was encouraging me to sign up for a subscription...but I have a subscription, and have been a subscriber for years. I confirmed this on my subscription page, and confirmed that I'm using the same account on my devices.

It is happening on every device in my family now.

Any suggestions?

Multiple users DVR suggestion...

I have 3 users in my family plan, we all have our own TVs and record our own shows and we also have a living room tv. Right now if we're all in the living room we can switch users in a few clicks of a remote to get to whomever has a show we're watching. But it would be convenient if in regards to the DVR if they were linked together so you could pull shows over.

Youtube TV and Youtube apps refuse to launch on Hisense 75" Roku TV

Just putting this here for visibility for the Youtube TV reddit account. My brother's Hisense Roku TV refuses to launch the Youtube TV and Youtube App. We've factory reset, cleared the cache, restarted multiple times, unlinked and relinked the account to no avail.

YouTube tv not loading on Hisense/Roku tv

Selecting the icon is not opening the program.

Removed and added the app.

Reset the system.

Same with YouTube

All other apps working.

YouTube TV not working on Roku

Over on the r/roku sub a bunch of us are having problems with YouTube and YouTube TV. Both apps got removed from our devices and won’t work after downloading.

For me my 43” TCL won’t run the apps, but my 55” TCL seems to be fine. Both have the same app build.

Travel viewing restricted

Recently I have been unable to watch any recordings when out of the home area. I used YTTV over Christmas in my home area but now that I am away, within 2 weeks the programs are listed as restricted until I return to the home area. I thought we had 3 months until having to return to the home area.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

  1. I used YTTV app on my phone in the home area in December 2024

  2. I have tried YTTV phone app and TV app while away (in the USA) but the recorded sporting events won’t play in January 2025

Having trouble getting YouTube TV/YouTube to load on Chromecast/Samsung devices

This problem I'm having is more than just YouTube TV but you guys seem smart so hopefully you can help.

For the last few weeks, I've been having trouble with my YouTube TV and YouTube apps on my Chromecast stick, Samsung Galaxy S24, and Samsung tablet. I haven't made any changes that I'm aware of that would have caused this.

On YouTube TV on Chromecast, it asks me to sign up or sign in, but then I click my profile (the only one there) and it takes me to the same screen. On my tablet and phone, it'll just say something like "something's wrong" or "you're offline," but I'm definitely still connected to the internet as other apps and the Chrome browser work.

I've restarted my devices, turned off/on Wi-Fi, connected to a second Wi-Fi network, signed out/in, and sometimes it seems to work, other times it won't but then it'll work a little later. Seems kind of random and I'm not sure if doing any of that does the trick or it's just a coincidence.

It's very frustrating. I have not noticed this problem on my Roku stick or when accessing them through my laptop Chrome browser. It seems specific to these Google apps on my Google/Android devices.

Appreciate any help you can offer.

Hey UTTV programming directors. When are you going to add channel 29 KFAA in DFW so we can watch the Mavs games? Some of us live in the sticks/boonies and a local antenna won't pull in the games very well.

New glitch or just noticing?

I occasionally use Bluetooth ear buds to listen to TV. Recently I've noticed YouTube TV jumps from a recording to live TV when the Bluetooth device connects. (It totally freaks when it happens to be a recording of a show in progress.) This happens on both my Roku Ultra and Google TV streamer. Obvious solution is to not be running YouTube TV when connecting. But I've been using YouTube TV for more than 5 years and don't remember running into this before. New glitch or no?

YouTube TV unchecking recorded programs

Twice this week I’ve caught YTTV unchecking shows I had been recording. I just went to watch something that was recorded yesterday, it was there this morning and now I went back to the show info and had to click the + to add it back.

Is this happening to anyone else?

YoutubeTV guide showing 5:13am - It's 2:06pm.

I reported the issue via the in-app feedback at the time in the title. (PST)

I've logged out and logged in.

I've removed the YoutubeTV app and reinstalled.

Update: I unplugged the TV for about 60 seconds and plugged it back in. the guide is now in sync again.

YouTube TV distortion on Sony Bravia

Hello,

My Sony Bravia X850F is having issues with YouTube tv, and YouTube app. No other app (such as Netflix) has no pixelation distortion issues.

YouTube tv is displaying red/green/blue distorted lines on every channel, and the screen is flashing multiple colors.

I tried resetting the router, reset the tv, uninstalled youtube tv as well. I am unable to identify the issue.

Please advise. The tv is on a wifi connection, every other screen/menu has no issues.

Missing episodes of Doctor Who

On the TV app, I can’t seem to watch any of the first episodes of seasons of Doctor Who. All of them have been replaced by the Christmas specials instead. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any way to switch them back?

Pay More $, Get More Buffering

Buffered like crazy during the basketball games tonight. Both Youtube TV & Youtube have stopped working altogether. And no, it's not my network. Have 500mbps and my speed testing is right around that number. Hard wired into LG smart TV. Brand new cable modem. Every other streaming service on my network is working flawlessly. This is strictly a youtube issue. Have also noticed when it is working, when I switch the channel it goes to SD and takes a few seconds to go to HD. This is extremely frustrating. Why has this been happening more frequently? I'll be going to hulu if this doesn't improve.

won’t stay in HD

Anyone been having issues with their YouTube TV staying in HD? For the past couple weeks nothing stays in HD without buffering or pausing. So glad they raised prices for this junk. Time to find a new service

Samsung tv (S90c) yttv app not working.

Using samsung S90c the youtubetv app isnt working. It loads to home screen, then lags for a few seconds with no video or audio playing. I have reset tv, reset app, deleted and reinstalled app. Yttv worked on this tv about a month ago, i setup a new account an now and its a no go. Yttv works on phone and other roku tvs in the house on the same netwok. Any ideas other than get anoyher roku device?
