Looking to redo our roof here soon, does anyone have any trusted roofers they would recommend?
In town from Chicago. Just shoot me a private message if you can hook it up today, a 8th would do.
Here's another summary of the things happening this weekend (meaning chatGPT summarized the list of events we've gathered).
Fewer events than normal because of General Conference, but still more than we expected.
Also, this time I asked it chat to organize it by day (so Friday and Saturday, I don't have any Sunday events in here).
One more also, I asked it to include the live music events this time, as well.
Event List:
Artists: Kago the Kid, Heymxnii, Jaywalkemdown, Rosy
Location: The Rise
The links for all these (along with the pictures and extra info) will be in a post that goes live tomorrow at 7am . Here's that link: WhatsUpProvo
About the battle creek general conference event, that might have been canceled. Once again, the link for that will be put in tomorrow's email newsletter (or post if you go to the site). So you might want to check that link before trekking up there.
It seemed like construction on the condo towers which would have been above the parking garage, but it seems construction has halted. The crane is gone, what's going on?
I'm looking at Lofts at River's Edge for my next move. It seems to have a cool mix of convenience and outdoor access, being right by the river.
The amenities look pretty solid - multiple pools, fitness centers, and even pickleball courts. But I'm more interested in the real experience.
Anyone living there or checked it out recently? What's the area and management like? Trying to get a feel for the vibe and community before I commit.
Yo what is with the trains lately? I thought this was a quiet zone or something? This one right now is obnoxious!
It was there for quite a long time and there were no reports of construction or car crashes; luckily I decided to drive up through Salt Lake instead
I'm a 22M, fairly new to Orem/Provo, and don't know many people here. I'm having trouble finding chill people my age, especially ones that are open to new people in their group or are looking for friends. I'm not going to UVU or BYU, no longer LDS, but I am still a Christian and go to Centerpoint.
What are some places or ways to meet people in this area? I look on Meetup and everything seems to be for people at least 10 years older than me. Can't go to school events or clubs. Hard to do things with the people at Centerpoint that's not church-related. I also just feel so awkward going to these random activities/events I see by myself when everyone seems to know what they're doing and have their groups. I'm not charismatic or interesting enough to shove myself into a random group and have things click.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Have you ever wanted to have a painting of your partner, a family portrait, your dog or whatever your favorite photo is? I always loved the idea of painting but unfortunately I'm not the best at it. A few months ago though a friend and I came up with a cool idea, what if you could turn any photo you want into a paint by numbers. That way anyone can paint, anything they want.
We looked up custom paint by numbers and found a few Etsy stores selling them but they were way overpriced and most of them didn't even come with the canvas on a frame. So we looked around and talked to a bunch of suppliers, eventually we managed to produce custom paint by number kits cheaper then anywhere else and already framed (you can still order them without a frame but we found most people want them ready to go out of the box).
Long story short though we're trying to grow and get more people talking about us. So we decided it would be a good idea to reach out to some local subreddits and hopefully you'll enjoy them enough to share your experience :)
You can use the code "COSTPRICEREDDIT" to get our kits for cost price (our margins are pretty slim right now we want to be as affordable as possible). You can get up to 4 kits at that price so feel free to buy a few and plan a date night, family activity or just get your Christmas shopping done early.

Does anyone know where you can get mango Pepsi? Pls and thx
I've been seeing a lot of people getting pulled over lately. It wouldn't surprise me since I think the average speed on a given road in Utah county is at least 10 mph higher than the speed limit. I'm trying to figure out the line to walk between efficiency and caution.
That's all! 36M
Post here or DM me if you prefer! Thanks 👍🏻

We get to play at your shiny new soccer complex this weekend: yay for Provo for the investment! We're staying in your hotels, going to your restaurants, spending money on groceries and coffee, stealing all your women. Ignore that last part. Travel soccer parents are nuts but the single ones usually only hook up with coaches so their sons get more PT.
We have a U11 team (13 year old boys) looking for a team dinner location for Friday night. Any fun ideas for a venue? Ideally with age-appropriate things to do, a private room maybe? Food hall? We'll probably be @ 30-40 adults and kids. Ideally food would have healthy options, not just pizza. Staying in North Provo so that proximity would be even more awesome-er.
Open to creative ideas. Anything soccer-centric or with screens to show highlights would be a home run. Or a hat trick, to stay on topic.
Thanks in advance!
hey - I am a tenant organizer in the Denver metro area. some fellow organizers and I are working on creating a regional network of tenants, for folks to communicate, collaborate, and work collectively to address the ongoing rental crisis in this country.
if you are currently experiencing any issues as a tenant, or are just interested in learning more, feel free to shoot me a DM and I am happy to talk more.
hi everyone! my husband (m24) and i (f22) are moving to utah from boise next month. what are some good companies hiring and apartments to live in? what are the ones you’d avoid? thank you so much ❤️🔥
husband has his cdl so ideally we’ll find him a trucking job
I’m looking for a group of females that like to mountain bike. Trying to get a few more rides in before it gets cold. If you are interested in going send me a DM :)
Hi! I’m looking for recommendations for a restaurant& party room in Provo that offers private rooms and allows us to order food while bringing our own cake for a baby shower.(Around 20-30 people) Do you know of any good places? We’re planning the event for October 26th. Thanks so much!
I'm not going to into detail, but I'm currently in a personal fitness contract that I don't want to be in. If you or anyone you know are interested in doing personal fitness and aren't in a contract, please DM me letting me know. I have roughly half the contract left, though I can give specifics via DM.
That way they can do the same PF while also helping me out
Hi All!
I am a hobby photographer looking to take some photos of the canyon(s) as the leaves begin to change colors. I haven't done much yet in terms of exploring them to find some good vantage points, but I figured I would see if anyone had ideas in here. Preferably somewhere that wouldn't really require hiking, or much of it. It is also probably important to note that I drive a Honda Civic, which kind of rules out anywhere that has to be accessed by extreme off roading.
I would appreciate any ideas - Thank you all! :)
Kids have a hockey tournament in February. Can anyone tell me if there are any public outdoor ice rinks in the area?
I'm in Lakeview/Orem area and need to know where the best goods are at lol 😉
Anyone in town seeing the thing over town? It’s stationary, looks like maybe a weather balloon of some kind? We got binoculars and it looks to be a funny shaped balloon maybe
This may be an odd question, but where can I find private owners that are renting out their homes?
I have this very fond memory of Utah Hair Extensions (Instagram name), and wondering if anyone else knows what I’m talking about. I believe she charged $199 for wefts but they were horrible quality. This was in 2016-2017! Does anyone remember this?!
Hi! I’m a 23 F moving to provo in two weeks and I am so excited! I know there are more credible reviews online at zocdoc and stuff but I feel like I get the most real answers for things on reddit. Anyways, that being said, does anybody see a cool, female PCP in provo? I won’t be bringing my car so hopefully something near city center or near the train or bus. I am looking to an establish care and get a refill on wellbutrin. TYIA!
