I’m looking for over ears with solid noise cancellation and Bluetooth with solid battery life that are solid/ok build for working out. Price range $100-300and I’m bass leaning/basshead with all my music I had Beats Studio 3s which I really liked broke a while ago and switched to IEMS. I love them but need some Bluetooth over-ears and I’ve heard bad things about the bass on the studio pros. I’m relatively new to the terms but I prefer no sound leakage for these either way so I think closed back? The studio 3s I rocked with for a while getting a new pair immediately when my first ones broke so strong bass but not too unbalanced. Any Suggestions?
The D5000 is the perfect headphones for me, I love how it sounds out of the box, the only tweak I use is the Bass Boost from the FiiO E10K.
The headband looks pretty beaten up, but the biggest problem is, the right side started rattling on med-high volume and bass.
I will try to get it repaired if it's possible, and keep it, but also looking for an upgrade.
I’m looking for a pair of headphones that will both allow me to mix and master my music, as well as record vocals. The DT770s looked like they fit that criteria but I wanted to ask people who were more knowledgeable if you would recommend them. The music I make is mostly modern rap/hiphop (for production), so whatever tonal balance is recommended for that is what I’ll need. I’m located in the United States and prefer to not spend over $200. It’ll be used in my home studio/bedroom. I have tried the DT770s before, they were super comfortable and sounded solid for the brief amount of time I tried them, so I would prefer them.
Hi there, I’m interested in purchasing the HD490 headphones to complete my current set of headphones, which includes the HD600, Amanda, Ft1, and Ft1 Pro. I’d like to know if the HD490 is a worthwhile investment (budget around $400) and if there are any other options that might offer better value for money.
Thanks for the advice!
sound: relaxed, warm, no fatigue, not aggressive
design: comfortable, low pressure and clamping, closed-back or open with not much sound leak, detachable cable,
no ANC
use: work, browsing, casual gaming
budget: €200 but preferably under €150
I have been jogging a lot recently in summer here where I live gets pretty humid and I have gone through three separate headphones due to the sweat bricking them. I have gone through two pairs of Bose Quiet comfort ultra earbuds and a pair of Airpods Pro 2 earbuds . If anyone has a recommendation of sweat proof headphones I'd gladly appreciate it.
Hi, I'm trying to decide on which buds I should buy, I'm mostly looking for good noise cancelation because I like being able to zone out in the gym, the sound quality doesn't have to be insane but it's definitely a plus and if possible a good mic as I spend a fair amount of time on calls. My budget would ideally be around 50 bucks but I could spend more. I have a Honor Magic7 Lite so I assume everything that is compatible with an android will work with my phone.
Hi there, Im almost completely decided to go for the Hifiman Edition XS ($285), the Arya Stealth are $690 here where I live, so…
Do the Arya Stealth really sound more than double the better? Do they have more than the double bass quality? More than the double detail quality? More than the double wider soundstge?
Im used to spend no more than $300 on headphones (I only have ANC headphones), with the Edition XS + Fiio K7 I would be spending already $500, Im willing to, as these will be my first pair, but with the Arya Stealth + Fiio K7 would be $900, do they really are more than the double better? How much more better do you think they are? Honestly for $900 I would expect that the Arya Stealth would be triple or quadruple better than the XS.
I listen mainly to hip-hop (a good deep bass would be nice, but if not theres no problem at all), 80s pop, spanish rock, movies soundtracks (like John Williams) and Bachata
Any recommendations or opinions?
Heya, I'm looking for advice on what wired IEMs I should get. I currently own Apple's Airpods Pro (2nd Gen) and a pair of HifiMan Arya Stealth Open Backs, and I'm planning on getting an IEM to somewhat replace my Airpods, I'll probably still keep em tho.
I have a budget of preferably around 1k USD but I can be flexible. I'll be using them at home, in the office and also on the go. As for what kind of sound I like, I don't really have that much of a preference but I listen to music with either a ton of bass or piano, not many songs with vocals. Not sure if this is a problem with IEMs but I listen to my music at almost max volume on my Airpods so I get a ton of sound leak, which if possible I would want to avoid as much as possible on these IEMs. I live in a tropical country too so I would probably be sweating a lot if I wear it on the go, so probably something that isnt too fragile as well.
I'll probably be plugging them into either my Macbook Pro's built in DAC or my 15 Pro Max with a dongle, no plans on getting a fancy music player. So far I have looked at the Sennheiser IE 300/600/900s, any other suggestions would be welcome too!
Thanks for reading!
This sub has helped me a few times before, so I know I can trust you guys.
I'm looking for the best noise-cancelling headphones I can get for $75-150. I work in a very overstimulating and loud environment. I want to toss on my headphones during my break and hear nothing but the sweet sounds of whatever ambient music that will help me relax that day. They do have to be Bluetooth compatible. Thank you for any suggestions.
Hello! My Steelseries Arctis Pro has cracked and I'm now looking for a new pair of headphones that are durable, comfy, and have good sound quality. I've never really looked too deep into the differences in headphones before, so this is my first time being exposed to the audiophile community and would appreciate the help.
I don't know what my preferred tonal balance is but I want something that is good in general as they will be used for gaming, watching videos, listening to music, etc. I've also got a standalone mic so I don't want anything with a mic attached.
The headphones would be used with my PC and PS5. My Steelseries was wireless and while I don't mind trying something new, my only problem is that I sometimes like to listen to music or watch a video on my PC while playing games on my PlayStation, is there a way to do this with wired headphones?
The max for my budget is around $500 AUD.
I want to buy some wireless headphones under $250 but I have to options, my first option is to buy the Buds 3 pro from Samsung (I have a Samsung phone), but my second choice are Robin's Earphones from Moondrop, in fact, some time ago I bought the Moondrop chu 2, so I have an idea about how Moondrop earphones are, but anyways I have this mental fight about those two, any recommendations?
Purchased the 7Hz Salnotes Zero a few months ago, which was my first IEM. Really enjoy the sound, with a ~5Db bass boost using EQ
Now I wanna up the price to under $200, and try out something with more drivers. Currently I got my eyes on the Truthear Nova, EM6L or SLIIVO MK2. It would be great if someone can help me choose between those, or even suggest a better one
Hello Im currently looking for a DAC/AMP for my headphones which I use mainly for my desktop experience, such as gaming, casual music listening, and etc. Ive been trying to do my own research on the topic and I think Im looking at the Topping DX3pro+, the FiiO K7. Im just looking for something simple to connect to my desktop and have on my desk to power my headphones. Thanks everyone for any help! I’m open to other suggestions and my price range is maybe max 250 usd
Thanks again everyone
Just looking for a decent and comfortable pair of headphones to use with a plug in V-Moda Boompro microphone while gaming with friends/family. Preferable under the $50 mark.
Already have a pair of open-back Hifiman Edition XS for music listening at my computer desk so not looking for anything fancy. I have the V-Moda boompro mic as well (planned on using with the Edition XS, but not compatible and worry about sound leak anyway).
I've been making do with a Jabra Biz 1500 call center headset I had lying around, but absolutely HATE how uncomfortable they are.
I just need to be able to hear what's going on and for them to be wearable essentially. lol
Availability on Amazon would be a big plus.
My friend needs a new headset, 70-100 USD, meant for gaming. Preferred to be wired, and also if possible a mute button on the headset. He will be using this on an Xbox Series X.
I'm torn between what headphones to get,
The ATH-AD500x at 113$ CAD
or
The Philips SHP9500 at 130$ CAD
I want to know what headphones to get for my budget.
US budget $1000. Will use for listening at home; classical, pop, and country. Currently use DX3 Pro and HD660S2. I enjoy the s2, but looking for something less dark. Should I go for a pair of IEMs or upgrade on the open back?
I’m in the market for a headset for my ps5 but I’m looking for a very specific type and am unsure of how to find it. I need a headset that won’t pick up background noise through the mic when gaming in the same room as my partner. Our setups are next to eachothers, and when we are in the same party, we can hear ourselves in the other persons mic, but because my current headphones are noise cancelling, I can’t hear him if he turns off his mic and he can’t hear me if I turn mine off. The only headphones I’ve found that have ENC technology are suspiciously cheap and I don’t really trust $50 headphones to give good quality sound and have a strong quality mic. Please help..
Hi! I’m not particularly well versed in headphones and surrounding knowledge but I’m looking for a pair that’s probably no more than 300 AUD (willing to go higher if it’s worth it) with decent durability(water/rain resistant is pretty much a must and I want to be able to use it for the next 5 years), portability and sound quality if possible. Decent noise cancelation would be nice too but it’s not a dealbreaker. I’ll be using it mostly for studying and commuting to and from college but I may also use it for both gaming and international travel occasionally. Thank you!
Budget: Since my budget is around $300, I've heard online that the xs was the way to go. In terms of shops, I think I'm gonna go with ebay for pre-owned
Preferred tonal balance - since my main daily driver is the sennheiser hd 6xx (for about a year and a half), I've realized that I prefer something a little more bright and something that has more bass. I love my hd 6xx, but it sometimes feels a little.. .. boring? And after using the ksc75s, I've had a lot of curiosity with a wide soundstage.
How will the gear be used? - Definitely at my home. I've already got earbuds and other headphones for on the go. I have a fiio k11 R2R for my amplifier.
Past gear experience - I've had the pleasure of using the koss ksc75, kph40, kph30i, sony wh-ch720n, and sennheiser hd6xx
Given what I listed, should I buy the edition xs or keep using my 6xx as my daily driver?
I want to buy my first wireless earphones And really my main priority is to be able to use ine of thise silicon funny cases; I'd love to post a picture but this group is not letting me I'd love to keep using wired headphones but my new phone doesn't have the audio jack so I'm looking for recommendations I prefer to have something not too expensive that will last for a long time I love rock music I will be using it only on my way to work and back home everyday It's like a two hours ride I can leave a link for the cases I'm referring to
I'm 15 and want to but a DAP around £120 and i am torn between The Surfans F20 and The Hifiwalker h2.
I need something that is powerful enough to run my HD560s fairly loudly
Any advice is much appreciated, thanks.
Does anyone know where I can buy a mini xlr male to female cable? I need an extension for my dt 1770 pro mkii's. I found one that is over £40 and I'm not sure I wanna dish that out. I'm based in the UK
thanks in advance )
I know I'm asking too much but I need a wireless(but can be used with cable just in case) on-ear headphone that I can use for gaming on my both PS5 and PC but at the same time I can use for listening to music on my phone. I'm gonna use a lot so it shouldn't be too heavy. Most importantly it needs to be long lasting so it'll be more economic in long run but I can pay up to 500$(but of course it could be lower I don't know lot about headphone prices I just mean it can be bit expensive if it's good) which is worth a lot more in my country. If there's no headphone you know of like this you can just focus on recommending gaming headphone that suits my situation.
I've been trying to find a new pair of headphones and I really wish there was a way to easily compare them in person. I'm too far from a Best Buy, Microcenter, etc. I'd really appreciate some advice on my next pair. They'll be exclusively for a PC setup
Every time I look up headphone reviews, they always seem to focus on how neutral the sound is. I don't care about that, I just want great sounding headphones with emphasis on bass without sounding muddy/warm.
Headphones I've used before:
Philips X2HR - Currently using. Bass is not as heavy as I was led to believe when I made the purchase years ago.
DT990 Pro - Same issue as above, but they were very comfortable.
Skullcandy Crusher Evo - Not very comfortable and the sound was very muddy and warm. Phenomenal bass though, and I loved the rumbling.
V-MODA M-100 - It's been nearly 8 years since I've used them but from what I remember, the bass was pretty good. They were just really uncomfortable, especially in terms of breathability and sweat.
Steelseries Arctis 7 - I used these for about a year in 2016. They were alright, but I use a GoXLR with mic monitoring and I don't think that works very well with wireless headphones. If there's a way, I'd love to use wireless headphones again. I also have no use for a microphone since I use an external XLR mic.
hello all,
im not well-versed in the world of audio, just looking for some recommendations on good value products. im looking for a pair of WIRED earbuds i can use in bed to listen to music from my phone. my max budget is around $50, but if i can get a decent casual listening sound for cheaper then that would be ideal. i dont have any specialized equipment nor do i have anything fancy to compare it to, just your standard off-brand bluetooth buds and airpods.
i listen to a variety of music, but im most into edm, vocaloid, etc-- that high-energy electronic sound. i want to be able to take an edible and lose myself in the music without worrying about battery life or being distracted by how cheap and tinny the earbuds sound.
thanks in advance for your recommendations :)
Does anyone have any solid recs for Bluetooth over ear headphones that are true to sound and have a long battery life? I would prefer sound isolation as well. Not super keen on noise cancelling but if the headphones themselves dampen sound that would be good
Under 300 Accuracy of sound I have used the direct sound etxw37 before and liked them
so I’m looking to get new headphones and I’m thinking of getting the dt770 pros. I’m looking to get into djing and also play games so I thought it would be a good choice for both. Only thing I’ve been stuck on is whether I should get the 80 ohm version or the 250 ohm version. I wont be running the headphones through a DAC but I might in the future so I think the 250 ohms are a safer option. However would I have issues using the 250 ohms on just a laptop or my phone at times?
I would appreciate any help and any suggestions for other headphones (budget doesn’t really matter but similar to this pair)
I have an issue with siblance (misophonia) and can't stand hearing sharp sounds especially in voices. I currently use earphones that don't have any EQ adjustment so anything will be an improvement.
I pretty much only listen to audiobooks and long form YouTube videos with lots of talking for many hours each day. I spend more time sampling narrator's than looking for stories. Some people naturally talk with lot's of hisses so I don't know how much EQ will help me, but I live in hope.
Is there a brand that has better EQ adjustment than others? I've heard Sennheiser has great sound and the ability to really customise it. Is this true or are other brands similar? Sennheiser Momentum 4s and Bose Quiet Comfort are on my radar. Any advice?
