A little over a month into owning this car after wanting one for years and I couldn’t be happier. Came from a Mazda 3 and this car is a little rocket. If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend test driving one. It has so much utility, while also being a super enjoyable ride.

I got into my Polo Gti this morning (6c 2016 1.8Tsi) and there are no ignition lights. The windscreen wipers work, the stereo connects to Bluetooth but screen doesn't show. Before sending it in to the garage I was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar, and what the solution was. I feel it is electrical, and the jump pack didn't make any difference either. Any ideas??

im trying to use the life time replacement I’m about to send a fuel pump back and idk what my rma number is it the same as the original order number or what is it someone please help thank you I don’t want to wait till their customer service is back I have a 2015 golf and it’s a high pressure fuel pump

Got a CEL for p11a800 which was for camshaft actuator b; cylinder 2. I have no clue what the part looks like or exactly where it is. And when I search the part online all I get are adjusters or magnets or position sensors. Are any of those the same thing? My car is a 2017 GTI SE PP. The only thing I found was that they are located behind the coil packs.

Any help is appreciated.

UPDATE This AM is seemed liked the car had a small amount of battery left. My phone actually connected to the cars bluetooth system which was weird because remote lock didn’t work & neither did turning the car on. So to me it sounds like something is keeping the car from turning off completely

Here’s The Story:

•car died over night

•changed battery, worked fine all day and then died overnight

•swapped out alternator car still died overnight

•swapped out alternator with another alternator (they ran a test and it was showing that the alternator wasn’t sending out the proper charge voltage)

•car still died after this (we tested the brand new battery and it said battery was dead & to replace)

•The shop thinks that because the first new alternator was bad, it killed the brand new battery because I was basically driving the car around for a day on a bad alternator

•Replacing battery did not solve issue

Any thoughts? Parasitic draw? Blown fuse?

Hello just wondering what people have paid for an SE. I have seen S trims list for as low as $30k in the LA area. With the 25s on the horizon, will $34k before TTL be feasible in the fall? What kinda interest rates is everyone getting?

Coming from an Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce theres a few creature comfort things that will be hard to live without (great sound system, Sun roof, cool wheels, dual climate) so I'd prefer an SE, but the S is a great value.

Not too happy about it as I've been told the grip difference is significant, although the ride is smooth from what i was coming from lol but I'm hoping theyll make it right come Monday

'15 Mk7 GTI Autobahn, Stg 1 EQT

1st time posting, but i’m picking up my new to me 2015 mk7 gti in a couple of days and wanted to start looking at which tuning platforms would be good to buy for someone who wants to be able to check codes and see the data for the car on the fly. i also plan on getting a tune but i really want to enjoy the car stock for a while.

(Old daily and my new soon-to-be daily lol) Just bought a 2010 GTI with 118k miles for a steal because it’s a bit of a fixer. I’m making this post to ask some questions.

First thing is the water pump is failing. I have the CBFA engine so does anyone have a link or part number to the correct water pump that is fully metal not the half plastic half aluminum ones.

Gonna do maintenance at the same time when I replace the pump so what’s the best oil? I used to have an E46 and the manual says 5w30 but everyone says 5w40 liquimoly is best. So what’s best for this engine? I already bought the ignition service kit from ECS that contains the R8 coil packs

The car has been sitting for 2 years but suprisingly no rust not even on the side fenders. But the suspension is shot. I want to lower the car a little anyway to a track stance but not slammed so what’s some good coilovers? Or would you recommend OEM suspension on springs?

Lastly the infotainment screen works fine but doesn’t recognize touch. What’s the best way to go about fixing that? Replacing the screen, the whole radio or taking it to VW?

This car is surprisingly fast and handles amazingly. Can’t wait for the future with this car I’m so excited.

I bought in a offer the stage 1 apr tune last week. I will go next week to my dealer to flash it k. My golf 7 GTI 230ps performance from 2016.

Now I didn’t decided to do the dsg tune for now. Maybe next year.

Do I have disadvantages now? They said it’s not needed a lot of customer drives without the dsg tune

So bad news after i tried to fix my parking sensors yesterday. I probably messed up my fuse diagram. I was playing with them while my ignition was on and later found out that that was a mistake lol. I cant even start my car right now.. i would like some advice..

Hello! Was thinking of finally going with the sway bar upgrade. What are the good options? Heard too thick of a rear sway bar could actually cause the lesser grip at the front

Considering going to stage 1 on my 2019 se. Car is bone stock other than a rear strut bar and rims. I’ve done a decent amount of research and have pretty much decided i want to go with eqt to get a little bit more powa than other options. I know i can run it stock but before I jump straight into the tune are there any upgrades you guys would recommend?

New to the GTI family! I've seen some videos of MK8 GTI probably the 2022 MY, the cluster shows S1 and 2 ->3 gear numbers change. In my S trim DSG ver I didn't see any gear number in D and S no matter what drive mode did I choose. Only show gear number when I was in manual mode. Is this a new thing for later MY or there is a setting that I can toggle.

I recently lubed the cupholder mechanism and the silicone lube seems to have left some marks. I was wondering if anyone had any experience on how to lessen the look or get rid of the stain
