Hello, i've got a question about gpu connection to psu.
I've got a new MSI RTX 4070 Ventus 3x that came with this new spliter adapter.
As far as i understand i have to use two cables from my psu to connect it properly ? My PSU is Seasonic Focus GX 850 gold+
But after watching some videos on Youtube i've found one, where they mentioned that you shouldn't bend too much that new spliter from gpu due to some failure risks, and owners of O11D case might want to try other solution.
Well ... i'm the owner of such case, so started googling. Found out that Seasonic sells angled 12VHPWR cable that should fix this issue.
Ordered one, after checking compatibility list.
Will i be good to go, or is there anything else that should i know ?
It's from a prebuilt.
Hey folks, I’m running Monster Hunter Wilds on ultra settings, but I’m only getting around 25-30 FPS, even if I lower some settings. It doesn’t seem to improve much with tweaks, and I’m not sure what’s bottlenecking my system.
My setup is:
Temps look okay, so I don’t think it’s thermal throttling. Given these specs, I thought I’d be getting higher FPS, especially since dropping settings doesn’t help much.
Anyone have any ideas or experience with similar issues? Could there be a specific bottleneck I’m missing? Any tips would be appreciated!
Im not planning to build a pc, but i like making well balanced ones to practice (and hopefully start a custom pc service in my area), and I've tried to make one just under the £1000 mark. Anything i should change?

I am in a bit of dilemma , the deepcool aio is 50$ cheaper in my country than the arctic one but i have an i7 14700K , the arctic has that wierd mounting mecanism and am worried about it as its my first pc build but i still want somthing reliable and idk if the deepcool will be enough or as reliable as the arctic from people reviews , is it worth the 50$ bucks or should i just settle with the deepcool.
Can I break the second 8 into two 4’s and use these for the remainging pins?

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for some advice on buying a second monitor for my PC. I currently have an Acer VG270UPbmiipx, which is an IPS panel, 1440p, 27", 144Hz, with Freesync. My GPU is a RTX 3080.
So I would like a similar sized monitor with 1440p with a highish refresh rate. I'm mainly playing games and browsing the interwebs. I like having a dual monitor setup when I'm playing World of Warcraft.
Also I would absolutely love for Windows to recognize if the second monitor is turned on or off and automatically extend the desktops size! Is this possible using DisplayPort monitors? Because this is not working when I'm using my old HDMI 1080p minotor.
There are then two options, either the new monitor becomes my main monitor or it stays as a second screen to be used if needed.
I'm not very familiar with the latest screen technology : OLED, VA, IPS etc.
Thanks for your help!
My latest build has 6 Thermalright C12C fans. However, my motherboard only has 1 4pin Chassis Fan header, and I’m worried that it’ll a) be really hard to daisy chain and b) not provide enough power to run 6 fans (it only has 3A and thermalright does not share the amperage of the C12C online).
Should I go for a fan hub, and if so what option should I go for?
I'm currently running the following specs, which is showing its age bad right now. I want to run games at high/ultra 1080p, 144 fps ideally.
Current specs:
I7-6700k
GTX 1060
16GB DDR4 (3000mhz rated, but it never worked at that speed so running at ~2700mhz)
600w PSU
I have a budget of around £1,500 but can push a bit more if needed. I'd be looking to run maybe a 4070 & mostly want to know if I get that, is my CPU going to be a problem? If the CPU will be a struggle, then I'll probably go full build
I have an RM850x (2021) powering my 3090Ti FTW3 Ultra. However, the GPU demands 3 6+2 connections, while the PSU only comes with 2 8pin to 2x6+2 splitter cables. I’ve read online that I shouldn’t use splitter cables to power the GPU, but other posts say it’s fine if the PSU comes with those splitter cables?
There are also a ton of people who say never to use cables that didn’t come with the PSU. So I’m stuck - don’t use splitter cables, but also don’t use any other cables? What should I do?
FYI: The official corsair 12vhpwr cable is stupidly expensive in my country, cablemod is a bit better but I’ve also heard a lot of bad things about them online.
Hi all,
I'm looking to build a PC for light productivity tasks (web browsing, word processing, light photo editing) and no gaming involved. My budget is ₹45,000 (approx. $540 USD), and I need this to include a 27-inch monitor.
I'm currently torn between going for:
Would really appreciate your input on the best way to allocate the budget for a well-rounded, future-proof system.
Thanks in advance!
Can someome suggest me best graphic card for Ryzen 7 2700x? My graphic card is RX 460 4GB and 16GB RAM. I think about GTX 1070 or maybe RX 5600XT, 5700 or 6600.
Hey everyone! Im looking to build my first ever PC for gaming only and am looking to run games at high-ultra at 120fps on 1440p for simracing and story games like Hogwarts Legacy etc, preferably in a white scheme mid size - full tower. Other requirements would be Wi-Fi and bluetooth, RGB is not an issue so if it is there, its there, and I'm assuming I'll need a fair bit of cooling as the place it will be isnt very good for airflow.
I'm not very experienced or knowledgable on Pcs atm but want to learn but from what I've looked at so far, I've decided I'm pretty set on an Rtx 4070ti Super and then base the build around that. If you have any other builds that you can suggest around that performance or better, if the budget allows for it. I'm also looking for the PC to be fairly future proof as I don't plan on upgrading for a while and for what its worth it'll be paired with and LG C2.
I've tried to put in everything I can think of but if I've missed something I wont be surprised. Thank you
Hi all I'm posting this cause I just want some external opinion regarding my upgrade choice and some assistant in picking out a motherboard;
Current I'm rocking a: i7-10700F + 2070SUPER Upgrading to: Ryzen 7 5700X3D + 4070SUPER (potentially)
The main issue is that I'm currently running amok trying to find an AM4 socket motherboard with:
I know the Bluetooth 5.0 requirement is pretty much impossible from my own research but I'm holding out hope that at least someone knows something 🤞
Also if possible, could you share your thoughts on this upgrade? I'm mainly upgrading to play the game 'Forever winter' and while I don't use RTX in most games I do use Adobe for multimedia work from time to time. Really I'm just trying to figure whether or not this upgrade is a waste of time + money lol.
Edit: Forgot to mention but my choice of CPU (Ryzen 7 5700X3D) is by price more than anything; I was able to snag it at 271.71 AUD at ali express; Hence why the AM4 choice instead of AM5
Is there any website that lets me see how for example different fans would look on my current pc? Or how an aio would look? Is there anything website or game that allows it?

update: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/W9hqqH new list last one sucks ik
Currently looking for GPU that can be compatible for my Ryzen 3 3100. I just play on 1080p, I don't really mind using med settings since I just want to play my games in a passable way.
i currently have the theralright tl c12c and it makes a really irritating humming sound at times so im think of changing it to the arctic p12 argb will it be better in terms of the noise it makes?
Also i got a 600 watt psu, is that enough or should i upgrade?
Hey, I'm gonna build a new PC soon and I was wondering if I could put my ssd that I added in my ps5 in the past (samsung 980) in my new pc.
Will Windows be able to be installed in the SSD (it's gonna format it) or the ps5's datas are going to be a problem?
Sorry if it is not clear, my english is a litlle bit shitty.
Hello,
I am looking for feedback about my computer building philosophy, as I am someone who constantly upgrades their components while liquidating the older before they lose their value, I am able to keep my computer just up to date while spending very little money, taking advantage of seasonal deals and ebay bid wins.
My current computer was simply a itx motherboard with pico PSU and 5700g cpu with no graphics card because I love how small, watt efficient and fast it is, but then I bought a 3060 when I started getting into 3D blender work, as well as a little Ai Stable Diffusion models, and it is nice to not play games on low quality.
So now we are in a market where the Am4 still holds a lot of resale value and high sales to listing ratio on ebay, and with the holidays coming up all of my components are sure to sell. Newegg is having a sale for a 7600x + mATX mobo + 32gb DDR5 for $330, and the 7600x is essentially the same processing speed in blender as the 5700g but with two less cores. Although there are two aspects that are holding me back from moving to the AM5 platform, which is the fact that the AM4 5900x is easy to get below $200 new, which hold's up against the 7700x in blender benchmarks if I were to desperately need to render faster, but more over I don't see myself needing that 1/3+ speed anytime soon, and in a long term point of view it would behoove me to not trade up for once, and stick with AM4 platform simply because when the 9000 series comes out, if my career has taken off enough to warrant a faster CPU, the AM6 platform is when I should do it, and the 3900x still competes till this day, so the 5900x should last until the end of the decade, easily.
But my two counter arguments to myself are that by then the Am4 computer will be worth so little on resale that I would just keep it as a mini pc that can a home server or be undervolted to 15watt tdp for use in battery dependent travel situations (although I already own a microsoft surface). The second argument is that the AM6 9000 series is going to have a ton of issues in the beginning, just like AM5 did, so it's better to go with AM5 platform now simply because those early issues are fixed, and it keeps me on my traditional path of always trading up for little to no cost, while giving me more upgrade options in the future that will retain their value in the coming years better than AM4. The only real downside to switching the AM5 is I'll have a slightly larger motherboard (until I sell it for a itx version), and I'll have a bunch of computer parts boxes stashed under my bed, so I can resell them later.
Ultimately I think I am going with the newegg Am5 path deal, simply because I don't need a mini pc because I already have a bunch of backup computers. Computer hardware upgrades are an interesting thought for me, because I live a very minimal lifestlye, in which I like to plan out my material investments most efficiently and only buy things that retain their value, which is always changing as newer computer parts come out on the market.
I have been checking cheap monitors and he AJVXI 34 inch Gaming Monitor is the best one i saw because its IPS and all other budget 34 monitors are VA this is the only one IPS for the same price have anyone try this monitor?
I'm planning to buy a pc. Here's what i chose : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3dxrxg please tell me if i did something wrong and/or stupid. I'm a little scared with the power supply since i use a lot of USB. Also i already have a 250Gb SSD and a 1Tb HDD, i added the 1Tb SSD to put my games on it and have shorter loading. Will i be able to add the storage units i already have to the build? The 250Gb SSD has windows on it.
I currently have an Arc A770 (8GB- I deeply regret buying it 2 years later), and I want to play FS2024 once it comes out at medium settings at least with a stable 60FPS or higher (I use 1080P but I might switch to 1440p one day). I need to get a new GPU as the A770 runs fs2020 dreadfully and I don't want to think about how it'll take 2024. I have a budget of about $550 AUD but I can go higher or lower. Happy to buy preowned.
Currently, I'm looking at a new 4060ti or a 2080, or a 6750XT, however I would like to see what else I can get.
My kids have two computers that they play fortnite and other fps games on and can get rather competitive with each other and I sometimes wonder if the issue is them (probably) or their hardware.
Computer 1: Amd r9 5900x 32 gb Nvidia 3090 25gb
Computer 2: Amd r7 7800x3d (+18% user benchmark) 32gb Nvidia 4070 super 12gb (+3% user benchmark)
Assuming the issue isn't them, what improvements could they make to either computer to equalize them more?
Hello! I am looking to replace my Xbox Series X, as a long time Xbox fan and PC user and I think it's time to finally combine the 2. I have built several PC's in the past so I know my way around parts and I will be adding a bluetooth/wifi PCie adapter, but I am looking for some advice in terms of connectivity and ease-of-use with Xbox controllers.
Is there a (n easy) way the PC on and off wirelessly with an Xbox controller? And can I sync friends' controllers easily?
I am also looking into the software part of things with things like Nucleus' coop so I can play splitscreen easily, but I am kind of worried the button mapping will have to be configured for every game, or do most PC-games support Xbox controllers natively?
If there is anything else you would like to share, please let me know. Thank you!
With AMD releasing THE 8600-8900 early next year and Nvidia releasing the 5070-5090 in the first quarter, would it not be a good idea to wait until then when GPU prices drop. I know if you’re only buying a GPU that’s probably a good idea but if you’re buying a whole rig should you still wait?
