I have cpu i5-10400 Main asrock h510m Psu 500w I have $500 and I want to play AAA game. What gpu should I choice
I have an Asus prime b350 mk motherboard which supports 16 lanes of pcie gen 3 for the main pcie slot. I recently upgraded from a ryzen 5 1600 to Ryzen 7 5700x3d and I'm waiting for the next gen GPU launch to upgrade from a GTX 1050ti. After some research I found out that the next gen(rtx 5000/rx 8000) will launch with pcie 5.0 interface but my motherboard only supports upto pcie 3.0. Will this bottleneck the performance of the GPU that I'll get on my motherboard, I'll probably be getting something around $500, maybe an rx 8800xt.
After watching through various youtube videos / reddit posts - i have narrowed down to 2 builds. Both of them are very similar but i do not have any experience in building a PC before and would love your suggestions.
Which one do you prefer ? If you would like to give me advice, please go ahead. I basically want a gaming PC that can be a bit future proof and can play modern games well at 1440 p. I currently use a macbook for personal stuff and would like my build to be cost around 1500 - 2000 USD. Do you suggest me to wait for black friday before ordering any parts ? Should i go ahead with my selections ?
Apart from that if you have any suggestions regarding mouse and keyboard do let me know.
For monitor i currently have a Asus MG278Q. I do not care about RGB and liquid cooling. I am also not looking to overclock my PC.
Thanks in advance!

I'm going to buy more SSD cards later on if I need it. Just unsure if this is okay for a first pc to own. Appreciate feedback

Tossing up between a 4070 ti and a 7900 XT, I'm quite big on competitive games and I've heard that Nvidia's reflex and ultra low latency stuff is super good and way better than the AMD equivalents in reducing input lag. But the 7900 XT's VRAM is super appealing to me so I can't choose between the two. Can let me know which would be the better option?
If anymore info is needed just lmk.
Also, if there's any issues with the build or anyone had any recommendations they are all welcome. Cheers.
I'm looking to get a new GPU and looking into the 4070ti super and the 4080 super(possibly) when do you think that prices will be at the lowest? I know the 5000 series are coming soon but I dont want to wait forever for one so I think imma just get a 4000 sereis?
My 3rd gaming laptop is failing on me after 4 years, i've decided that it's about time i built my own gaming/productivity computer. I want a system that can handle current and future games on high settings, and one i can use when editing pictures on lightroom and videos/colorgrading on Davinci resolve.
I was looking at paring the AMD RX 7900 xt gpu with a Ryzen 9 7950x. But i want to be sure this isn't overkill for my use case.
I was wondering if a RTX 4060 is a good upgrade to replace my RTX 2060 for my Ryzen 7 3700x.
I want a cheap, but good new GPU and was wondering if a 4060 is a good idea for my needs.
Will it cause any bottleneck issues?
If anyone has any recommendations on other gpu's to get instead of the 4060, then let me know.
I currently have the 2060, ryzen 7 3700x, 16gb ddr4 ram, b450 tomahawk max.
This is my first time building a pc so I am building a budget ddr5 with the ryzen 5 7500f this is the build I have already made here is the list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ThbBDj Let me know if i can make or change anything ps: I only play like cs or valorant
Hello! I built a pc in August and everything was perfect from the start except wifi. It wouldn’t connect to my home wifi despite other devices having no issues. My pc also can connect to my phone hotspot no problem. I’ve noticed the same thing happen on my laptop right after I built that computer. When I start my computer it never connects to wifi right away and I have to wait several minutes because it can happen, before that it says either “No internet connection”, “No Wifi networks found”, “Can’t connect to this network”, or it says that something changed since I used it last time so I need to enter the password again. It was annoying, but I dealt with it. Now, the connections disappears randomly while I use my computer. I’m really frustrated. Thanks to everyone who will try to help! Let me know if you need my specs
Edit: I already tried forgetting the device, updating drivers, clearing dns, updating hardware something, nothing helped.
i was playing cs with my friend i alt-tab and pc dies, after that i turned on, and pc goes to windows, but one of my M2 doesnt turn on (usually when pc shuts down and turns on very quick, this happens), so i turned off the pc, w8 3 or 4 seconds, when i turn on, pc doesnt give any signal, besides this orange light, it seems that something on the motherboard died, the memory controller or something, idk, its the dram light that keeps on, i already tried changing ram positions, keeping 1 ram, one of each, BIOS FLBK, nothing, is always the same...

Hi so my partner is upgrading a gpu in her old pc current gpu is a gtx 1060 and upgrading to a 1080
Other specs are
-intel i7-4790 -z97x-gaming 3 motherboard
Just want to know if the power supply is sufficient
Any other tips for things I should replace for her
So i recently upgraded my HP laptop with a 1 TB M.2 to replace the existing KIOXIA 256GB M.2 that was preinstalled. I figured i might as well throw the old drive into my desktop system to get some extra space.
After doing so i tried using Disk Management in Windows to format the drive. Wouldn't let me.
So i used disk part in cmd which I've done a million times, went through fine, but for some reason the drive was no longer accessible. When i boot it shows in Disk Management but if i refresh device manager it disappears.
The drive was totally fine inside my laptop no issues whatsoever up until i tried formatting it.
Its not a major dealbreaker if the drive is cooked, id just like to give it a chance.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hello, i need some help in understanding if the Assassin X 120 Refined SE is sufficient to cool the 7 7700?
My build is mainly used for productivity, with some gaming on the side.
On a second note, how does one choose a CPU cooler?
so, i bought this monitor just for the hertz (100) and aesthetic, and of course, it was the cheapest i can get here, im looking for a color calibration for this monitor but i dont find anything, i cant afford a calibrator thing because its almost 600 dolars here, someone has any information for where i can find some config for this? and yes, i dont recommend this monitor, thanks for your attention
Does anyone know if it is possible to get an adapter that can be used to connect my ps5's to my monitor but my monitor only has display port inputs.
Any cheap adapter is fine as long as it works.
For short
Need a adapter to go Hdmi to Displayport
As far as my understanding goes, the problems with this generation where oxidation issues that were only limited to certain earlier batches, and a microcode error that caused excessive voltage spikes leading to crashes and degredation.
If I bought this CPU today would I still run a considerable chance of running into these problems? Was the microcode error able to be patched or hotfixed in any way? Are there still alot of units in circulation with the oxidation issue?
$2000 AUD for:
I think this is a great deal, and I'm confused why no one has snatched it up yet (can't see when he posted, but he's already lowered the price from $2100 to $2000)
Lad said he'd throw in an AOC 240 Hz 1080p monitor too.
Said it's only 1 year old and the cheapest in the market, and he's willing to include a Razer Serien V3 Mini mic, Razer Basilisk V3 Ergo mouse, and Corsair Gaming keyboard. I've asked whether he'd consider lowering the price if I left out the specs.
Looking for some more opinions, and if there's anything I should look out for when buying second-hand too? Thanks reddit
EDIT: $1900 FOR THE PC + MONITOR
Recently purchased a new motherboard. Now seeing a yellow LED light on right (left one is white). There’s no overheating.
Any suggestions on why it could be yellow? Prior to swapping the motherboard it was red with no power. So I assumed it was a power source issue and replaced it. It’s yellow / green now, but I don’t hear the fan for the graphics card.
Thanks guys - any help majorly appreciated 🙏
i have thought about upgrading my laptop and adding another external gpu but im not sure if my cpu will be able to handle that. I have a ryzen 5 4600h and gtx 1650 ti. I would also like to know if i can use both gpus on 1 game like fortnite for max fps or on one vr game to handle better. Also should i upgrade anything else? i have 16gb ram, 1tb storage (200 ssd, 800 hd)
Thanks!
The first thing is I am budget-constrained and from India, so the prices vary, I want an 8-core CPU to play competitive valorant and stream on Twitch, have an rtx 3060, and will upgrade next year, 9700x is almost in my budget and 7800x3d exceeds it by a few dollars and a few thousand rs, total money I want to spend is Rs.40k or $400.help...
Hi all,
Need recommendations for my pc upgrade. Just a casual gamer mostly playing fifa (fc25 now I guess). I'm from Sydney Aus and here are the specs:
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit CPU: Intel Core i5 7600@ 3.5Ghz Ram: 28Gb ddr4@ 1200Mhz Motherboard: Gigabyte b250m-d3h-cf (U3E1) Graphics: Gtx 1050 Ti
I usually use standard FHD monitor 1080p - 100Hz refreshrate
Budget is pretty low unfortunately.
Planning to do gradual upgrade to the pc as I save up for it.
I have a prebuild pc coming in soon and the cpu it has is intel i5, 13400f and a Nvidia Rtx 4060. Will my pc be able to run good on Call Of duty black ops 6, Fortnite and Rainbow six siege, and how much fps would i get per each game. My monitor has 165 Hz
I was asked to do a build, and when I was selecting the power supply (Corsair RM650) on the retailer’s website where I intended to buy it, it stated that it came with two PCIe connectors, which I mistakenly assumed meant two PCIe cables. However, after watching some videos on YouTube, it also seemed to come with two PCIe cables, but it turns out that in the 2023 European version, it only comes with one PCIe cable.
The graphics card was going to be an RX 7900 GRE. I tried finding an extra cable on Corsair’s website, but it seems to be out of stock, and I haven’t found any resellers with it available either.
Would it be risky to connect the GPU with only one PCIe cable? Or should I advise buying a different power supply?
Meanwhile, I spoke to the person , who had already purchased all the components, and I recommended this power supply: "https://www.coolermaster.com/en-global/products/mwe-gold-750-v2-full-modular/" and said to return the other since he bought it yesterday and is not yet installed .
This new PSU have 2 EPS cables and 2 PCie right , I am not mistaken with anything this time , right ?! xD
I am looking for a reliable 4TB 2.5" SATA SSD to be used as storage in a mini pc which already has a fast NVMe SSD for boot and programs.
It appears that Samsung 870 EVO and Crucial MX500 have significant reliability issues. Has the latest firmware for MX500 fixed it? The MX500 is now EOL according to Crucial.
What about WD Blue? Are there other reliable 2.5" SATA SSDs out there?
Thanks!

The only thing I'm really unsure on is if I should get a cheaper cooler but upgrade the motherboard a little. I feel like I could get away with a slightly cheaper AIO but a better motherboard, however I don't really know where to start cooler-wise (motherboard suggestions are also welcome). If you have any recommendations, it'd be awesome if everything could be black with no RGB/lights.
Also I know there's one extra fan and that the fan controller isn't really needed, but if I had any issues with wiring or running the fans, the extra $6 is chill. Also it's less to get a 5 pack than a 3 and a 1 anyways
I'm currently facing a problem where my motherboard [MSI Z790 Edge Ti Max Wifi] wont detect my wifi adapter in device manager. I've tried all the possible ways to fix that I could think of yet to no avail still failed. Right now I'm using Windows 10 which I'm preferably use than Win11(it sucks).
Previously, Im using a Asus B760-F Strix motherboard which has no problem at all but then changed into this MSI Z790 Edge Ti Max Wifi cuz aesthetic (my pc is white). Also, it's on sale for very cheap for some reason, close to 200 USD.
List of Fix that I've done:
Update wifi driver recommended from msi website.
Plugged in the special usb that came along with the MSI motherboard and triggers a driver installation thing, and I installed, restart still not work.
Uninstall device directly from device manager after downloading the wifi driver first. Failed.
Also, from what I could find on the Internet, it seems that wifi can only be supported IF my OS is WINDOWS 11. Which is weird when the official page mentions it could support Windows10 and 11 yet no official driver is made for Win10.
So the final solution that I could think of and using it right now is to plug a USB wifi adapter onto my motherboard or upgrade my OS to Windows 11 which I HATE, (I used it in my office pc and it sucks terribly).
So is there anyone with such issues before who could help me with this?
I'm looking for a GPU upgrade for my all white build. I'm trying to avoid Radeon cards because I've been met with tons of frustrations from them (driver timeouts, unexplained lag, etc)
The price difference I'm looking at is about 150$ more in my currency for the Eagle vs the Aero (which is 430).
I've seen people compare the two saying the Aero is a better card, but only when comparing two Ti's. Unfortunately, the Aero ti is out of stock, so I'm trying to understand what would be better value money, performance, and lasting wise between a regular Aero and the Eagle ti?
I have a desk thats 48X24 inches facing the wall. I want a single monitor for work which is mainly TEAMS meetings, emails, notes, slides, and surfing the net.
Been looking at the ultrawides as it may allow me to be in a TEAMS meeting and have more space for notes. BUT, I hear there are issues with screen sharing? I do that a lot and I wonder if it will be a hassle in the long run?
Been also looking at size 34. Is that too big for my desk size?
Thanks!
I currently have a GTX 1070 TI, and I'm looking for a GPU that would pair well with a Ryzen 7 5700x that i got ( My current CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600), I've already got the 5700x and i need recommendations for a GPU that would Pair well with it. My budget for another GPU is somewhere between $200 and $250, Thank you all for your help and time in advance.
