For the most part, only the usual laws of Reddiquette apply. Basically, don't be a dick, and we should all be hunky-dory. There are two rules we're now actively enforcing:
Buckinghamshire (/ˈbʌkɪŋəmʃər/ or /ˈbʌkɪŋəmʃɪər/; archaically the County of Buckingham; abbreviated Bucks) is a ceremonial and non-metropolitan home county in South East England.
The county town is Aylesbury, the largest town in the ceremonial county is Milton Keynes and largest town in the non-metropolitan county is High Wycombe.

Anyone successfully obtained a larger general waste bin from the council? We are a family of 3, with a baby in nappies, and have frequent visitors as family are based far away. We run out of space by about 1 or 2 bags every single time, and it’s a huge hassle to keep going to the tip.
The council website lays out parameters to apply for one, but we don’t technically fall into any of them. We’re happy to pay, but it seems like we’d need to prove we had two in nappies or one plus a medical condition in the house (for which you need a doctors note).
Thanks
Some of you may have seen our post a couple of months ago where we were looking for people to trial our business, for those who didn't here's a quick rundown. A friend and I thought it would be cool if you could turn any photo you want into a paint by numbers kit. That way you can paint your dog, cat, partner, the whole family or whatever you want without having to be an artist.
We looked up the idea and found that the current stores in the market were ridiculously expensive or only offered kits without a frame or with a DIY frame (who wants to put together their own frame? Don't you just want to open the box and start painting). So we looked around and talked to a bunch of suppliers and eventually we were able to produce custom paint by number kits cheaper then anywhere else and already framed.
We reached out to you here on Reddit asking you to test them out at cost price and we've received some amazing feedback as a result. Thank you if you were one of our OG customers! We want to continue to grow and get more feedback and reviews though so we're re-opening the offer in case you missed it the first time around or you want to order some more kits.
You can use the code "COSTPRICEREDDIT" to get our kits for cost price (our margins are pretty slim right now, we want to be as affordable as possible). You can get up to 4 kits at that price so feel free to buy a few and plan a date night, family activity or just get your Christmas shopping done early. If you've already ordered with that code it has no been reset so you can get the deal again!
We look forward to getting more feedback and hopefully you'll love our kits enough to spread the word to your family and friends!

Hi folks
I'm going to Oxford from Aylesbury tomorrow on the X20 and, having been caught out by buses in the past, am trying to find out how I can pay the fare. Of course there is a confusing generic app which demands I create an account and blah blah paperwork.
Can I just pay by contactless? Or cash? Exact change?
All of these have caught me out in recent years where you're treated as an idiot for not knowing so hopefully someone can help me have the right option primed;)
Thanks.

I will be starting a new job in Little Chalfont and am trying to figure out where I should focus my apartment search. I'm looking for a reasonably priced and safe area that is also happening and is close to London.
Any suggestions are welcome!
I'm an international student from Canada joining the University of Buckingham's medicine program in January and was wondering if student accoms were better or rentals? If it's the latter, where should I look for rentals? I'm planning on it being a flat/apartment with a single bathroom and kitchen if it makes the search easier?
Hello! I'm moving to the Aylesbury area soon and this will be a new area for my partner and me. I'm curious to know what events and places of interest people can recommend in the area. I'm a fan of pub quizzes, comedy, theatre, countryside walks, museums, running, art, crafts and quaint coffee shops. Also... what are the good pubs in town and nearby? If anyone can offer any wisdom it would be greatly appreciated:)
In May and June 1944 the 30th Infantry Division (US) stayed at Hodgemoor Camp, Amersham, Buckinghamshire. I'm looking for more information on this.
I already found this page: https://www.amersham.org.uk/ww2/ , which states: "Around Amersham in Rectory and Pipers Woods and at Hodgemore army camps were set up. The camp at Pipers Wood was by occupied at various times by the King's Own Scottish Borderers and also by the Americans and was used after the war as a reception centre for returning prisoners of war. The camp at Hodgemore became the home to a large contingent of Polish servicemen. The camp remained in existence well into the 1950s with its own shop and post office."
But that's not an accurate description of the situation I think. The morning report below of one of the companies shows them at Hodgemoor Camp early June 1944, just before they were shipped to Europa to partake in the liberation of Europe.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Hi everyone!
I've been living abroad for a few years now and am coming to aylesbury for xmas to see my family.
I'll only be there for 2 weeks so I'm trying to find an option for hiring a car but I'm having difficulty finding something which doesn't charge ridiculous fees for the Xmas period.
Can you hire cars per hour/day in England now? If not, can anyone offer a recommendation?
Also, a bonus question: does anyone know where I can find the timetable for public transport during the Xmas period?
Hiya, I'm looking to move to Buckinghamshire for a new job that will start in the new year. Can anyone give me some pointers about which area would be good to start looking for rental please? Moving as a single person if that helps. 🙏
Hello guys, i am currently doing some research for my dissertation on gentrification in commuter towns, i am looking in Buckinghamshire and mostly at Gerrads cross, High wycombe, Beaconsfield and Amersham. If anyone has either lived here for at least 5 years or is very familiar with these towns i would greatly appreciate if you could fill this form out. It is relatively simple and should only take a few minutes, just looking for very rough answers on your opinions of bucks and how it has/hasn't changed. It is all anonymous and any question can be skipped - Thank you!
Hello ,anyone want join me for tea and chat ,daytime in aylesbury town centre ,uk .
Hey!
I’m an international student from Canada admitted for January at the University of Buckingham MD program, and I'm on the hunt for affordable housing options that are still close enough for convenient commuting. I’d really appreciate any tips or leads on housing that other students have had good experiences with... or if you could point me toward someone who might have some insights!
Thanks so much in advance for any help you can offer.
Greetings! I'll be moving to High Wycombe and working there this week from another country and was hoping to join a rugby club not too far from there, anyone know if one exists?
Hello everyone! What are the best Halloween activities in bucks this October half term for 4 and 2 yo?
Hi there,
Can anyone recommend somewhere they’ve been to for lunch in Marlow?
Ideally not loud and includes vegetarian food.
Thank you ☺️
Looking for a queer friendly barber in the Bucks (preferably close to High Wycombe/ Marlow) that cuts short hair on women. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you
