Holy shit, I hope it's a sign that they're gonna make more episodes or something. It was trippy to see the TV guy in a different form.
Here's to hoping for more new Brad Neely content soon!
My roommates and I discovered it a while ago and LOVE it. We sing entire songs and lose it over the most ridiculous references all the time. It’s to the point where I’ve probably seen the entire season 30+ times because we also watch it with everyone who comes over to chill.
edit: typo in title fml
I want more!
How are people feeling about HNSP now that it's had some time to settle?
List some of your favorite sketches - or your most hated ones. Songs you still sing, or characters you appreciated.
Would also love to see some Harg Nallin'-related art!
Discussion thread - how are you feeling about Harg Nallin'?
Personally, I'm a big fan. The show is classic Neely and has gotten progressively better since the first episode. Episode 6 (For Winona) is my favourite so far - Art School Self-Portrait, Kinko's Girls (88 Pencils), Shrimp Juice, and My S--t were all hilarious. My favourite sketch out of all episodes is probably I Know, Right? #1. There are already a huge variety of great Neely songs - I don't know about you guys, but I'm still singing the old classics from Babycakes and the Professor Brothers (see the sidebar).
Recurring characters are mostly golden. Fruit Blood stands out as one of the highlights of the show. That's Not How We Did It has a really quirky charm to it, and the songs from TV Guidance Counselor are always catchy. I Always See can be a bit out there - they said in the SDCC panel that those sketches were the only improvised parts of the show. Several episodes have a recurring sketch as well (Wrong Face, Let Me Rate You) It's also awesome seeing appearances by Babycakes, Kenny Winker, and other recognizable characters from China, IL.
Being a variety show like Robot Chicken, I was expecting Harg Nallin' to be a little hit-or-miss. Honestly I think the majority of sketches are funny and deserve a spot, but there have been a few questionable ones... Stinky Carrot #1, Girthy Egg, Skunt and Stinker, and other sketches aren't exactly memorable.
It's really cool that some big name celebrities are a part of this show - Andre 3000, Kristen Schaal, Chelsea Peretti, etc.
Looking forward to episode 8 and beyond! What are your thoughts, Redditors?
Has anyone found or made a gif set of the dancing guy at the start of every episode?
I can't get enough of his funky shit
