This is for a strength build with a like 25 dex and is going to be used for both pve and pvp
I’m trying to run a build with the dragonslayer greataxe at sl135 and looking for some good medium weight poise armor to go with it, any suggestions?
I don’t know if it’s just me, statistically most likely not but it’s a big problem I have. I just beat the Abyss Watchers for the first time, and while it was awesome, it left a bad taste in my mouth because I was terribly at dodging the attacks. I only won because I just damaged sponges it (currently have 10 Estus at +3). I get this urge to wanna go again and prove that I can actually beat the boss without needing to chug 40 pounds of popeye’s spinach, but of course you can’t rematch bosses whenever you please so I’m just left here with these feelings.
And I would usually feel neutral about this when playing a tank, but I’m running a dex build w Sharp Uchi. Yeah i’m aware this is a ego thing, but has anyone else ever experienced this or something similar?
Hello everybody, wanted to ask if anyone could explain this confusion for me. When I open the “Equipment” tab, on the right are the Player Stats. If Y/Triangle is pressed, we can see attack power. I’ve main-ed the Uchi (+8 atm) throughout the entire game and the stats say the power of it is 281. I recently beat Dancer and acquired its twinblades. I upgraded them to +3 and in the weapons menu it says they do 118 damage, however when equipped, the Player stats said the power of those was 365 so obviously I decided to use them. I just beat Oceiros, and I could barely hurt him and was really confused why Oceiros is so tanky. Tried out once with the Uchi. The twinblades were doing 22-50 damage per hit. The Uchi did ~150 dph. I looked it up and Oceiros is even weak to bleed.
P.S: Just realized the attack power is most probably a net total of Magic dmg + fire dmg + physical dmg. But is that still not too weak against Oceiros. And which weapon should I be using in your opinion if I wish to use the stronger one? Or will I have to play this swapping game?
Badass design? Check. Great theme? Check. Fun moveset? Check. Absolutely chaotic 2nd phase? Check.
I don’t care, idolize that old fart who does a dozen anime front flips in each combo, with his weird assless chap fashion. I’ll take my badass Berserk armor inspired boss, who runs his glorious strength/faith build, ready to strike down everyone with a heftiest of heavenly slams. Having a moment of clarity and getting an absurd power increase? How incredibly lame and cliche. How about calling up his friends to bring down abyssal artillery from both sides? Completely original and inspiring. And Friede? Doesn’t even compare! How can you call yourself a boss and not have any poise? Ew.
The title is a bit weird but long story short I spent around 10 hours or more trying to defeat SoC and when I say 10 hours it's 10h of actual tries against him, two nights of attempts, SoC made me lost my sanity and I thought I would never recover, his (her ?) moveset was so weird to me, and the sorcery "stance" was painful. So I beat him, and I wasn't aware of Archdragon's Peak and the NK, I don't read/watch guides for DS3 since the game is pretty linear, except for this. So a friend told me that there was something else, went there, killed Ancient Wyvern (more tries on this than NK lol) then I went to fight NK and it was... easy ? To me at least, it's not bragging or anything but once I figured out how to avoid the fire breath in first phase it took me three more tries and it was done. Maybe I got lucky on the moves he did in second phase ? Everything was pretty slow and predictable, even when he goes into the air and charges, which is basically the same animation than first phase but without the dragon. So idk, why do you guys think NK was harder than SoC when SoC had basically 4 movesets in phase 1 then Gwyn's moveset in phase 2 which is easier but can still be annoying. Genuine question I wanna know who easily beat SoC but not NK
What a ride I must say. I almost gave up trying to defeat Gael but tonight I defeated him with the help of poison resin and I also upgraded my flasks a bit. Last was soul of cinder and I figured out that if I can come through the first phase then I can beat him. And so I did. Hardest boss for me is probably Gael followed by Demon prince, Friede, Soul of cinder and twins in no particular order. Namless king didn’t give me much trouble except for maybe being burnt by the dragon a couple of times. Overall it is a great game, very rewarding and scenery is beautiful.
I've already bought the ringed city a couple months ago and definitely don't regret it and im thinking of getting ashes of ariendel but the only reason I would really be getting it is for pvp but im not sure how active the game is pvp wise
I tried setting the game to windowed mode 1280 x 720 then i selected auto then amd fsr and frame generation. Im using a external 60hz monitor and ryzen 5 4500u 8gb lpddr4 3200mhz.
And i get less fram rates :(
Help
Souls like large soul if anyone does the duplication glitch :(
I want to play ds3 again but I want to have a build this time instead of the ol guts sword build
He’s the only boss I haven’t beaten. I finally got close - down to <25% - this afternoon.
I learned his moveset and have an effective strategy - basically the head / tail strategy FightinCowboy used in his 100%. Basically, hit his head, rolling under to dodge his attacks and bait the fire breath, hit his tail, when he turns around hit his head. Basically staying under him most of the time. I get it to where I get into a nice rhythm and it chips away at his health.
But that battle to 25% was mentally exhausting and now I keep making sloppy mistakes.
He’s the toughest boss the series for me.
Just finished the game, and loved it, but throughout the series (i played ds1 and 3) i always wondered:
Don’t the lords of cinder sacrifice themselves to the flame? How are they still up and about and what not?
Dumb question i know, but no one seems to explain it all that well

btw i havent played demon souls or bloodborne but i did my research on the best boss for those games
I'm just a fan boy so when I see a bonfire sword, I'm like hell yeah. I also really enjoy Vordts hammer, but that's an objectively good weapon that just isn't though of as much as say the great club.
Every single death to this asshole: I think I’m doing pretty well, and suddenly TELEPORT SLASH SLASH TELEPORT SMASH DEAD
One time he even teleported, then immediately teleported again without attacking first, then smashed me dead while I was still coming out of my roll from the first teleport
And I’m on console, which means I can’t spin around fast to look behind me when he teleports. I have to use the left stick toooooo slooooowly tuuuuuuuuurn arooooooound never mind too late
Sekiro didn’t even fill me with white hot rage as much as this guy. What in the holy shit do you do when he teleports somewhere and you can’t see where he went or if he’s going to slash twice, overhead slam, or do that holy fire bolt thing?
“Immediately start panic rolling” works sometimes, but it only has about a 60% success rate
Im gonna start trying to go for the platinum again. With this trophy do i have to get every ring in every playthrough? or can i go to my third new game and get the rings then? thanks
Every help is appreciated
Midir should have more health or you shouldn't be able to do a scripted crit for 1/4 of his health bar.
My one and only character!
Took me a total of 48 hours and 52 minutes and 221 levels!
I did all offline, so the farming was extremely painful, but after it everything was easy!
(Sorry for the low quality video, don’t know how to screen record on the Steam Deck)
I started another play through very recently and was thinking back to the first run I ever did because this recent play through hasn’t been challenging and was curious as to what boss gave y’all the beat down the worst on your first time, for me it was dragon slayer armour by far, it took me nearly 80 try’s to defeat it and second place for me was midir at 22 and that isn’t even close to the punishment dsa gave me. I to this day can’t figure out why run 1 that boss gave me the most trouble but sheesh that was a really painful 2 weeks
Just a dumb story I felt like sharing. On my very first playthrough I was messing around and realized if you jump at the bridge as it collapses, you can survive the fall and it takes you to the lower area if you do it right. I was so proud I found a secret that I kept doing it every time I died to the stupid worm/demon king. I stg I spent like 2 hours perfecting this stupid bridge jump every run back because I thought that was how you do it. Months later I was watching a video on YouTube and realized the bridge turns into a ladder 🤦♂️
