out of humanity
I never knew they had books based around the Dark Souls world. After doing a bit of digging I saw that they generally aren't very well liked by the community. As someone who loves the games but isn't very versed in the lore, are these books worth grabbing and reading? Even as just collectibles?
I just finished my ng playthrough and have gotten all achievements besides the rare weapons and max chaos infusion. I wasn’t gonna farm for another red titanite slab and I just traded an ascended pyro flame for one, so all I have to do is get the chaos ember and that achievment is done. The only rare weapons I have left to collect are just boss weapons, and I know I’ll have to go into ng++ for the third Sif soul. So far on my ng+ run I’ve been just running past enemies to bosses, but now that I’m at sens fortress it’s not going well. Would it be faster for me to play safe and carefully like my ng playtrhough, or am I just not good
I'm trying to get the manserpent great sword before I go through Sen's fortress, by farming the two manserpent's at the entrance. Is it possible to get the sword without using humanity? Because they easily kill me sometimes and I don't have a lot of it
Here’s the situation. A friend and I are trying to coop play through dark souls but are experiencing issues. When either of us place our sign down, the other can see and interact with it. However the summoning consistently fails.
Some more information. Invasions and other multiplayer features still work normally. I can’t summon other players, same thing occurs. The same thing occurs in Dark Souls 2 as well except it’s just me and not them. We’re both on Xbox, both on the same version of the game, both same level, and both human. Currently we haven’t gone past the Bell Gargoyle fight though both of us have attempted it at least once.
I’ve been trying different methods and fixes for the past few days. From quitting to main menu and retrying, full reset of game, console, and internet, nothing seems to be working or changing the outcome. Always just attempt summon. Sign disappears almost immediately. Sign reappears with the button prompt available again. And a bit later the failed summon message appears on both of our screens.
If you have any personal experience, advice, ideas or thoughts, please share. I’m desperate and will probably try anything at this point.
Is there still some people playing pvp on switch?(70Lv)
I couldnt find one on darkroot forest
Before this, I want to say that I usually play the game while hollowed, so rarely do I get invaded. A
At the bonfire right after the Artorias arena, there were messages warning about backstabs and a message saying to use humanity, so I did, thinking it would be a special NPC invasion. After regaining my humanity, Dark Spirit "Hurin" appeared. I fought him and died over and over again and throughout fighting him, I kept thinking to myself, "This NPC invader acts a lot like a real player, he even emotes when I die, that's funny." I kind of got annoyed by this "NPC" invader, so I searched up discussions on Dark Spirit "Hurin", and I didn't get anything back. I thought to myself that that was odd, so I searched "Invaders after Artorias arena" and I found out that I've just been letting myself be farmed by dark spirit "Hurin" TwT.
Well played, Hurin.
im trying to join the warrior of sunlight covenant but im at 9 faith and i want the requirement to go down and i was wondering which bosses are popular to get summoned at? Im level 90
on r/snuggly I saw a lot of trades with stuff I have in abundance, but they were offering mule and karma, can you tell me what they are?
It’s super annoying. Is there a way around this? I’m having a hard enough time with the boss.
Also, it’s the same guy and I just keep closing my game. Will that actually negatively affect anything? Last time this dickhead went to kill the blacksmith but I luckily closed in time. Gonna take a break for a bit and hope he’s moved on. Kind of mind blowing to me that people have nothing to do with their lives that they’re invading pre big boss fights in a 14 year old game. Screams loser to me
Hi, essentially first time player of DS1, I played a bit of bloodborne and I played a lot of Darksouls as a kid with help from my brother. So I made a knight with the master key. First tried asylum keeper that wasn't really hard because I knew about the side door but, now I'm struggling. I've got a lot of experienced players screaming in my ear as I play with them coaching me which is irritating but I'll survive. but now I'm in a spot of trouble.
No one told me weapons have durability, so now I'm stuck at level 20 unable to beat Taurus Demon with a busted broadsword and I have no souls. I know I can run down the staircase to try and get to where my weapon can be fixed, but with no souls am I fucked here? I had other swords... Emphasis on had I figured since I was fat rolling I should just get rid of the extra stuff I don't need. But I'm five hours into this game and it's just nothing but aggravating. Oh and I'm on PC. So that's great.
Anyways yeah... Am I fucked? I guess so, I've been treating this as an RPG, figured if I couldn't beat the boss I should just level up and come back. But it just sucks. I don't know where to go or what I'm doing. I think the sentence "I don't know where the sweat on my palms ends and my tears begin" came out of my mouth at one point laughing becase I'm just shocked at the sudden difficulty ramp up.
Optional meaning bosses that can be skipped without the use of glitches, exploits or other unintended mechanics.
First time playthrough: So I have seen similar threads about the issue I am about to present and I'm hoping the outcome is not what I think it will be.
Solaire has simply gone missing... I have followed the questline for solaire, joining the covenant at Undead Parish/Burg, talking to him at Anor Londo bonfire, summoned once at O&S and then gone... his summon didnt appear at Centipede demon, though I meet all requirements even with the sunlight maggot head being collected before going into Lost Izilath. So I fought centipede demon alone and was victorious... but guess who wasnt there at the bonfire after the fight?
Does this mean? Ya know? I didnt succeed and I'll be seeing him later....
In tomb of giants i was invaded by paladin leeroy, he drops two weapons needed to get the achivement of every weapon, I rolled to the cliff right after defeating him, I received the souls but don't the weapons, he doesn't respawn. Will he invade me in NG+ and will I be able to get these weapons somehow?
My first game was Elden ring which I loved so i decided to get into dark souls which I’m sure will be extremely different since the amount of time between the games.
So I just finished Jedi survivor and now I’m really into the souls like gameplay and I got dark souls remastered. But as much as I enjoy the gameplay I’m having a really hard to enjoying the game. I’m stuck on the gargoyles and the guide I watched is a pyro with the Drake sword , I unfortunately killed the arrow merchant and I’m a knight. So she made it look really easy. I also despise the fact that bonfires are so far away from boss arenas. What should I do here to really get the hang of souls because I really really want to enjoy the series and play 3 then Elden ring.
could it be that solaire (presumably GWYN'S FIRSTBORN) got killed by 4 mongooses?, I mean, he's a demigod how is that possible?
Do people just not play online? I stay in areas where I havent yet beaten the boss, sl 70 something, the only time I encounter people is in darkroot forest, occassionally. Are people just playing offline? I am 67 hours in the game and have been invaded once outside of darkroot, and never find peoples summon signs.
I've reached the duke's archives and I think I'm on my way to seath but those FUCKING invisible roads seem insurmountable, is there a way to 'mark' them completely??
IMO I would go with seath because I think it’s a great fight, you can get the moonlight greatsword which is a awesome weapon for Magic users, cant forget about the dukes archive it’s massive and filled with all sorts of things although the run back is horrendous. the finish of big hat Logan’s quest line feels rewarding and is rewarding by giving you his hat, staff and his spell once he’s been defeated.
For me it was manus by a long mile. No boss really made me struggle besides o&s and even then they didn’t provide such an onslaught like manus did. Truly a dark souls 3 boss in dark souls 1.
First time playing Dark Souls so obviously I’m playing the DLC for the first time as well. He is kicking my ass constantly. I stopped playing the game for a few weeks, but this weekend it’s my mission to beat him. Any tips or suggestions are appreciated and before anyone asks, I don’t have the silver pendant.
I’m trying to fight Dark Sun Gwendolyn but every time I die I respawn at the Anor Londo bonfire. But the Anor Londo bonfire isn’t lit because i killed the fire keeper so I have to walk all the way back to Sen’s Fortress and go to the bonfire there. I can’t go down the Anor Londo elevator because it’s already descended too far. If I were to try to use it I would fall to my death.
I started with ds1, used a very faint guide whenever I got stuck. Would it be fine to at least check what areas to go to or go blind. Thanks
Yep this place sucks (not in a bad way but kinda). You hardly see i step ahead and next thing is you fall to death. Ok next you manage to survive few ledges. Cool here is few bone giants in ya ass. Gotta love these games, there is no others.
