RIP š
I remember watching this (probably) robot chicken episode as a kid in a random vhs tape in my house.
I donāt remember much of it however I know it revolves around a bunch of characters fighting in something of a boxing ring. I know at the end Fran Drescher and maybe Godzilla (?) fall in love? It could definitely not be Fran Drescher (I watched a lot of the Nanny at the time), but I know for sure it ends with the beautiful women riding the monster out into the city streets, and sheās waving at the crowd of people or reporters. Then they get murdered, or shot or something.
Again, Iām not 100% sure it was robot chicken but I have no clue what else it couldāve been.
Ah crap
Synopsis:
Deb's newly found love of riding her exercise bike drives a wedge between her and Stebe. Theo's attempt to bond with his father fails, turning him into a vulnerable mess.
Forgot to post, you missed it. On Max tomorrow.
About 2 more weeks till AS April fools 2024. Does anyone even care anymore after how shitty the past few years have been? Or could these be their redemption arc?
Herschel was a passion project ā¤ļø open to commissions if anyone likes my stuff, I do a lot of adult swim paintings and I get weird with them sometimes
don't crucify me for this š
Hey [as] fam, remember the experimental vibes that set the channel apart from its competitors? Yeah, me too. Iāve replied to some threads regarding this but Iāve decided this needed itās own post.
OK. First off all, why the hell arenāt Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis in creative power positions by now? These guys arenāt just the brains behind some of our favorite shows (ATHF, 12 oz. Mouse, Sealab, Perfect Hair Forever, SGC2Cā¦ should I go on?), they are apart of the essence of what made [as] iconic. And guess what? Theyāre still around, still kicking, and still capable of breathing life into [as], especially after seeing the recent ATHF season. Theyāre ready and willing to keep making magic for Williams Street, so what gives?
And then thereās Michael Ouweleen, the prez. This dudeās been with the channel since the dawn of time, practically an ancient relic (no offense, Lazzo) who knows the channel inside and out. With all due respect to his tenure, why isnāt he passing the baton to Matt and Dave?
Is it not bizarre? Weāve got Lazzoās right-hand men, the OGās who could steer [as] back to glory, just chilling on the sidelines. Fun fact: that iconic skull logo we all know and love? That was all Matt Mās voice, yelling ā skullā in the background. These guys were arguably the backbone of the creative vision that made [as] what it was.
Ever since Lazzo dipped, it feels like [as] lost its adventurous spirit. Lazzo was the creative mastermind we trusted to take risks and push boundaries. Now? It feels like weāre stuck in a creativity drought. Sure, Ouweleen has the reins, but without that fearless, experimental drive, itās just not the same. Matt and Dave couldāve been the perfect duo to fill those shoes and keep that legacy alive.
Itās baffling that WBDās execs arenāt tapping into this goldmine of talent. Ouweleen, with all his experience and understanding of [as]ās roots, should be championing this transition. We need leaders who embody the channelās original spirit, who are willing to take risks and innovate, just like the old daysā¦
So here I am, ranting, but itās because I care. I miss the adult swim that dared to be different, that introduced us to shows we couldnāt find anywhere else. Matt and Dave have the vision, the creativity, and the history to bring back that spark. Itās time [as] remembered its roots and gave the reigns to those who truly understand its essence.
Letās get the conversation going, folks. [as] needs its soul back, and I believe Matt & Dave are the key. What do you guys think?
Classic Bump -Flylo good [as] Forums time.
