VR Gaming is a subreddit set apart from other headset specific VR subreddits. Not only is it a friendly meeting ground for fans of all devices, but it is also special in that discussion is virtual reality gaming specific only.
The new virtual reality industry covers a vast swathe of topics and applications which can range anywhere from gaming to tourism, education, design, and real estate. Just about any industry or topic you can imagine can be tied into VR, so it is very important to have a subreddit that only focuses on VR gaming.
Rules are coming soon, but for now they are simple! Talk about gaming, don't spam, and above all, be nice! █-)

I'm new to VR. I bought the Quest 3 with the Quest+ trial, so I've been able to try Walkabout Mini Golf, No More Rainbows, In Death: Unchained, and now Moss. All of the games have been really amazing and feature their own clever uses for VR, but Moss has stood out as a truly unique experience. It's hard to put into words, but those who have played I'm sure understand where I'm coming from.
I know there will be countless other awe inspiring moments ahead for me in VR, but I'd like to know what has really stood out to others so far in their experience. Have there been any games or certain moments where you just had to stop and appreciate what was happening?

For anyone that just got their VR headsets/games this week, care to share where you bought it? I'm trying to look for possible Cyber Monday deals for the Quest 3 along with some games and maybe those stores still have some live promos. Also mention how happy/sad you are with your purchases, always fun to read
Hi all! Finally have enough expendable income to buy a VR setup. The question is, where do I start and what do I need as a minimum? I am quite confused with brands and what they enable etc. Im just keen on being able to play on Steam as a start. Games like superhot vr. For example is the oculus headset enough or do i need more equipment?
I played Halo CE using the vr mod and overall it’s fantastic BUT ! Keep in the bits the other creators leave out ,
My instinctive understanding of this is that the headset only does the streaming duty and all of the graphic processing duties are carried out by my PC, so headset spec (aside from probably resolution) should matter much less to none.
But I noticed something strange when I checked the pricings that 1) there isn't many selections for PC only headsets; 2) they aren't cheaper than meta's quest 3/3s. Gears I found like Valve Index and HTC Vive are quite old and much more expensive than 3S which I can get at less than 400 usd at my place.
Should I just go for 3S at this period of time if I'm looking to play PC games only?
Building PCs is an expensive hobby. Are there any VR games that simulate this?
Hey all I’m looking to buy a pc to use for vr and other games so I’m looking for recommendations I’d like to get a prebuilt one as I’m not fully sure how to order all the correct parts and assembly it Cost isn’t a huge issue I just need to know what ones work the best for the people who actually use them Thank you
Hello everyone thank you for reading this, I am new to the vr world, I’m curious if a laptop would be able to run boneworks
How do you set it up? I have 1 base station and like 3 trackers... I know the base stations work and trackers work since I used a Vive headset with Steam VR room set up...and Quest 3 with SpaceCalibrator trackers are calibrated and work responsively and accurately, but the base stations and trackers are mirrored and displaced to the side of my body in x and y axis... How do you fix this? Like base station IRL faces my front of body...but in vr it's facing my back...and my left leg moves my right legs and so on... mirrored...
Other times the virtual placement of my base station and trackers is flipped on its side like you rotated my walls 90 degrees close wise...
I tried: SteamVR room set up, with Quest 3 set facing the 4 cardinal directions Figure 8 with EVERY trackers...all labels with carpenter tale with their respective codes in relation to Space Calibrator... All positioned on my body well Vive trackers screwed on tight Base station on A and B channel no diff
I want to know if there is any good realistic climbing games that I should get for my quest three
PS VR2 is on sale for $350 currently and the Meta Quest 3S is $300 with a $100 amazon credit. Both include a free game and I already own a PS5. Which one is better overall in terms of gaming and if they have any other features like video streaming. I don't know much about VR so sorry for the dumb question.
I don't know if this is really the right place for me to ask for help, but i need help setting up my full body trackers.
I purchased 4 htc vive trackers 3x 2.0 and 1x 3.0 tracker to use as a chest tracker. I have all the dongles and everything that's required for it to set up but for some reason every time i try to connect all 4 to my pc on steam it says I'm at max "controllers" added, i found out so far i can only connect 3 but I've seen people use more than 3 trackers so I'm at a loss on what to do anymore. Any advice is appreciated!!
Unfortunately in Germany there is no chance to get a 7800 x3D.
Can the 7600 x3D also handle the 4080 in vr Games like it can in 1440p?
Not sure if vr games need more cpu. They need more gpu for sure so in my intention you need a really bad cpu to bottleneck it?
Need help on which games to get
Are these places worth going to

Hello everyone!
My girlfriend is a psychologist training to become a psychotherapist, and I work in automation technology. Together we are thinking about using VR technology for therapeutic purposes.
For example, virtual environments could help people with anxiety disorders, trauma or stress to practice or relax in a controlled environment.
We are curious:
Thank you so much for your insights! Your perspectives could really help us to develop the idea further.
I think the best way to experience VR racing is GT7 on PS5 or AC on PC or similar where you are fully immersed. However, there are always those games that don’t support VR that i still like to play (usually more arcade racers where you drive through traffic).
Has anyone tried racing games with a full rig and a VR headset but just to simulate a up close 2D cockpit to get better immersion? it is worth it or is it worse due to losing the ability to both see your own rig and moving your head?
Not looking for one where you run in place and there are just sensors on your legs, actually looking for a machine but preferably one they can fold up and not take up too much space when it's not in use.
My buddy just lent me his vive for a week and I am having an absolute blast! It's like when my dad brought home a playstation 2 when I 6 years old I'm having so much fun again. Showing it off and playing games and im loving half life alyx too.
My concern is that with out a huge selection of great games the novelty can wear off quick and maybe it's not worth it. Super hot, half life, and beat saber are all fun. But I've aoresyd played those and it's only been a week, and they are all kinds old by video games standards.
Are you happy with your purchase or do you wish you had waited tik thing are cheaper, better, and with more options
