As the title says, most of my ganes wont open in vr, i can only play 2 games, i dont know how to fix this
i downloaded daydream 1.23 because 1.20 and 1.15 keep on crashing, but the 1.23 doesnt have the library, can someone tell me a version that does have library and doesnt crash?
Cardboard got me back into VR after the 90's failure, and daydream with my axon7 got me descent VR for the time cheaply. I just found one of the two units I had and was curious how I could get back into this or if I should scrap the unit.
My Axon 7 is toast needing a new battery. It simply won't charge. The phone overheated within 10-20 minutes anyway in Daydream.
I'll be browsing the pined comment's urls to see what I can to do either get daydream working on a newer phone, or if I can get daydream working some other way.
Glad to see this reddit exists!
i was wondering if the mobile premium dlc for ivry in steam worked with the daydream
I just want to run some minor simulator games and trying them in vr
It looks like google pushed an update that disables the mirage solo. I foolishly installed it to see what it would do and now the device is disabled. I will be trying to factory reset it and see what happens. If you see the update available I would recommend not installing it.
I want to view some 180° SBS/TB 4K videos on my Pixel 3 XL via VRTV. Since this phone doesn't natively support HEVC, I'm re-encoding the videos with h264 via NVENC. But the videos will go blank when it encounters a scene with a lot of motion, so I'm thinking the bitrate is too high at those points.
Anyone have know the bitrate limit? Like 32kbps? Or recommend handbrake/vidcoder settings? Since I'm using NVENC on a very old gpu, I'm limited to h264 and 4096x4096.
Hello!
I finally have it all, a near mint condition Samsung S8, with an almost new 2017 Google Daydream headset. Everything is working, but I cannot find many games. I was able to sideload a few from links of this Reddit group and other APK sites, but I really want to play Dr. Splorchy Space Heroes.
I was able find a modded apk, but it gives black screen and a notification that the download is unsuccessful. I cannot find the obb for the game anywhere.
I hope some of you might have the files, and give some directions on how to get them. I really want to play that game 😀
Also, if you have any other game recommendations, I'm happy to hear.
Thanks in advance, sorry for my English.
Hey my name is Flynn I'm 16, 17 in march, I have a confession/question to ask the people of Reddit! I understand I might be overthinking this a lot about this but I often find myself creating these fake scenarios in my head like for instance the other day I was listening to music on my headphones and then I thought I'd close my eyes and imagine it was me singing the song and all my friends loved the music I was making. I also have had a lot of occasions where I imagine I've died like a tragic sudden death and I imagine how my family and friends (few friends) would react to my death. I'm not sure what this is but I find myself doing it a lot mostly when I'm listening to music or going to hed. Is there a name for what this is called or have I lost the plot 😂
I left my Google Daydream gen2 goggles on a shelf for about a year until I got a second-hand Pixel 3 XL to be able to use it again. But the elastic straps were no longer elastic and the headset could not be worn. Luckily, I had another goggle that was still unopened in the box.
But how do I keep the same thing from happening? Would storing the headset in the original box help? Or do I need to make sure it's in an air-tight container like a zip-lock?
I still had this daydream headset (2017) but no compatible phone anymore (used to be Note8). Still have a bunch of VR photos I made with the cardboard camera app which I would like to browse in VR.
So I got myself a Galaxy S8 for a few euros and managed to run the setup, it even paired with the controller after a few attempts, and alas the headset shows me the daydream landscape!
But of course the Samsung/Daydream home screen cannot connect to the server any more.
All I would like is install some apps like google photo's / carboard camera and have them in the daydream environment. Is there any way to do this, manual install some apk's maybe?
I’m the last moderator for R/Daydream, I’d like to recruit some help if possible!
I was thinking of getting and playing around with the google daydream soon so does anything actually still work with it (I have a Pixel 5 to get apps btw)
Android XR is Google’s new operating system for headsets and smart glasses - The Verge
will google stick with it this time, or will this die too?
So I wanna buy an old daydream just so I can have a more comfortable cardboard viewer and I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 and I just want to know if it can fit inside the daydream viewer.
After formatting the device, I tried calibration to reinstall it. Wipe data facoty reset did not work. I could not install it normally. Please give me a solution. Note, I gave it to a very good technical service. He has been trying for 1 month and 1 week. The situation is very serious.
Recently sideloaded a few apps, but when I went on Daydream, the library option isn't there. I tried clicking on the app button but the library still won't pop up.
I'm using an ASUS Zenfone 5 ZE620KL with Android 9
Tried 2 different controllers and no input or movement is detected I also have cleared the cache of google vr services
So I need an apk for vvr on google daydream but I can't find a working one of anyone knows where I can get the apk it would be great
Hi anyone can recommend me to use my solo as a vr for gaming on pc, also a good browser for it since chrome is outdated, and any recommended apps please ? Thanks alot
Is there a way to install Plex VR if I bought a new Google Daydream?
Hi all,
first apoligies because english is not my mother lenguage.
Few days ago my controller stop working, so I was forced to do a hard reset and consequently FRP block because lack of servers.
After couple of days of research, finally, I find out the solution:
If you continue with the instructions in the PDF from first link you will be able also to unlock the boot loader.
After this, when you restart the system, remember bypass the update and account sign in, with the four corners trick.
Note: This work for me, but I cannot guaratee that work also with your system.
Good luck and lets keep this good piece of hardawe alive again ;)
Hi I am wondering if there are some archives with apk of apps/games? Maybe something like gearvr vault.
I'm using android 14 and the vanilla daydream app and daydream keyboard. I'm also using a modded version of Google VR Services that adds compatibility to android 14
When I try to pair my daydream controller android and daydream both say connection failed but according to nRF Connect it's sending and receiving data from the controller the controller also shows up as connected before I even used this app. My guess is android 14 not liking this Bluetooth device as it uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and because android doesn't recognize it daydream won't either. Can someone help me or mod the apps to still read the controller data like how nRF Connect reads it. Here is my current modded Google VR Services app https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Mv6t9MYTj38Ecy29ukahti6SWczf1neu/view?usp=drivesdk
Edit: It worked after resetting my phone and daydream is detecting it. But now it won't show up in any of the apps I use do I need a daydream headset because I have a phone vr headset but it doesn't have an NFC daydream tag on it
Edit 2: More digging and found out someone had the same issue as me 4 years ago with no solution also using an app to force run different parts of an app I found an activity called Metaworld which is where you can see things like your battery percentage and wifi and when I clicked a button on the controller it recognized it clicking the home button brought me back to the home menu but the controller stopped working. To summarize I found out the same issue that was 4 years ago and also the controller is only working on Google VR Services and any other app including the daydream home screen will not work.
I think it's Google VR Services problem but I can't check because this modded version is the only one that will work
Hey y'all, a few years ago (possibly 2019-2021) I played a game on my Google Daydream VR where you would be spawned onto a 'futuristic' arena and use a lightsabre to fight waves of robots that would attempt to either melee kill you or shoot at you with I think it was some sort of laser. You could move by holding the touchpad on the remote and you just swing it to attack. From the main menu I can only remember that you could change the colour of the lightsabre by cutting a different lightsabre that were to your right. I can remember a green, red and yellow option but I think there were more. I'm pretty sure I got this game from Google Play Store. I have searched the entire internet so any help would be appreciated.
Is there any way to restore the play store functionality for the Google Daydream app? For context I am wanting to play a game called Shattered State (Developed by Supermassive Games) and recently I installed to Google Daydream app through the use of APKs. (Specifically APKPure) I have my heart set out to play every Supermassive game so if anyone can tell me a way to restore functionality to the Play Store or download Shattered State directly through the use of APKs or otherwise It would be greatly appreciated.
