If you were Ukrainian and went to KSU, where would you hang out and meet fellow Ukrainians?

I’m an international transfer student coming in from Canada. My degree is in psychology, and I’m 28 years old. I just took the math placement test, and I did horribly…. 🙃

I haven’t taken pre - calculus since 2013… the schools aware of my age, and learning disability (I’m dyslexic). What does it mean if you do horribly on this placement test?

I'm an incoming freshman, planning on starting at Kent in Fall 2025. I am planning on majoring in Interior Design and was wondering if any current students had some advice for good dorms that wouldn't be crazy far from most of the classes for my major, and would also be good for a freshman to live in. i just scheduled my classes for the spring and i think my advisor wants me to take more classes and i really want to knock out both of these requirements but nothing seems interesting,,, so im asking for suggestions n recommendations. perferably nothing w a prerequisite since im a freshman and nothing too writing heavy.... thanks

transferring to kent for spring 2025 and doing aeronautical studies, however there's a decent chance i won't be able to get my medical to fly so i was thinking of doing dispatching as a minor whilst pursing either business analytics or just administration. ive heard the business school is generally good, but i wanna know overall opinions on it. what's it like? ive also seen the new ambassador crawford hall that was just finished and it looks nice, how is it so far?

How are the on campus jobs there? Are they easy to get? And what’s the usual pay rate

Back on the 22nd of this month, I put $80 into my declining balance and I had no issues with it. However, now a week has passed and I've used my declining balance quite a few times, however, when I went to go check to see how much I have left, I noticed that it days that I still have $77.49 left when I KNOW it should be way less by now.

While I could absolutely take advantage of this, I'm a bit worried to because I don't want it to bite me in the ass later. Has anyone else had this happen to them before?

Hello, I was accepted to Kent State with a hefty scholarship. I was wondering if they have a good Pre-med program. I'm worried that because they aren't very prestigious or anything, it'll affect me later if I choose to go with Kent State. Kent State fits my budget but with an ~85% acceptance rate, I'm not sure how respected the pre-medicine degrees are here. If you have any insight, I could use some advice here. Also, lmk if you guys like Kent State.

Were you part time or full time? How long did it take you to finish? How long did it take you to find a job after graduating? Do you work in UX in libraries now? How do you feel about your current job? Would you recommend the program?

How do I increase my chances of getting it? Website says 1st priority goes to phd students and left positions are given to masters students. I am thinking about applying to the MPH epi program online. I have heard some good things in other posts, but I would want some current opinions and answers. Do the classes include a lot of programming? Does the program cover a lot of math? I may move to Madrid next year. Did any of you manage to get a practicum outside of the States? Thank you.

I applied for spring 2025 and got accepted with $10k scholarship per year. I am taking student loan. I am planing to study masters also in cybersecurity. I am just wondering what is the ROI at KSU becoz i am coming to us on student loan and i have to pay that after my studies. Will i be able to pay my dept on time.

Hello, I am a senior here at Kent State (hopefully, if things go well, I'll be graduating in Spring 2024). Recently (about a month ago) I found out a longtime online friend of mine committed suicide back in May, only finding out about it recently. I was pretty much down for the count after that, and work has been piling up since. I thought that maybe I could try to work through my pain, but it doesn't work that way. I am failing a class and severely struggling in another, and I think it's too late to drop from it. I have been told to talk to the SAS people, but I'm not sure for what or how. I feel like I am drowning.

Does anyone know if Kent reports attendance to the VA? I haven’t missed any classes so far but I was wondering if I missed one class if that would get reported? I’m not really trying to deliberately skip all the time, I’ve just been feeling a bit sick and wondering would it matter if I didn’t go for the one class or would I absolutely need a doctors note?
