Is East 55th between Fleet and Harvard a safe area?
What's the most cars you've ever seen on the rapid here? I just got back from philly and it's crazy how many cars are on their trains.
I keep seeing all these vintage bikes on Facebook marketplace and I want to get one, but I don’t want to buy something I’m gonna put up in 2 weeks.
How are y’all layering to get the most out of the riding season?
Where are the bars that the young people go to!! I’m 21 and all the bars around me are 35+
I just got hit on my bike today coming home from work at the intersection of Detroit and 45th. I had a green light, was moving with traffic, and watched a white electric SUV come off the Shoreway and t-bone me in real time. She didn't even realize she fuggin' hit me until I started screaming at her. And what do you know? When I first got a sight of her, she was either staring at her phone or her giant dumb display in her car. What most of you people who b*tch about cyclists don't realize is that all it takes is one single second and a life could be GONE. I'm sick of every thread I see on this subreddit where there's ALWAYS a contrarian moaning about how bikes infringe on their right to the road. I GUARANTEE more than 90% of bike accidents are driver's faults. Look it up and prove me wrong if you want (bet you can't). You're brain-dead. End of story.
I bought my grandmas house and we used to come out here for trick or treating growing up, because where I lived we had trick or treating during the day. I remember the sidewalks being packed with kids and nearly every house would have their light on. We would have to make multiple trips because our bags would get full. For the past couple years there have only been like four houses on my block handing out candy. I’m the only one still outside. What happened?
Wife received ticket in the mail a few weeks back from Linndale speeding camera. Is this anything I should be concerned about? It sounds menacing. I know everyone says to throw them out, but I just want to make sure! Thanks again!
I'm all for funding arts and culture, but I'm not sure about increasing taxes on cigarettes. I do think its good for public health if less people smoke and evidence shows that increasing taxes on cigarettes can cut the rate of smoking. On the other hand, it is a regressive tax since lower income people tend to smoke more, which as a progressive, I'm strongly against. I wonder how people here are voting and if you can sway me on either side, cause I'm on the fence right now about it.
Hello all,
This has probably been asked before but perhaps my needs might be slightly different so I'll ask anyways - plus I'd prefer experienced insight. Anyway, I'm thinking about moving to Cleveland and having my disabled mom move with me. Shes 100% P&T through the VA. I'd prefer a relatively safe (of course) neighborhood with basic amenities (groceries and such) and woods/preserves/forests within 10-15 minutes walking distance. Also hostipals/decent health care access (within 10ish minutes by car or public transport). Of course the more access to public transport and less of a flood risk the better, but I can look at some maps for reference on my own after I get some solid suggestions if y'all dont mind. We're from Jacksonville, FL and tired of the climate (both literal and political) and are thinking of Cleveland as an affordable climate destination. Any help would be appreciated 😊
Edit : I should add that our combined gross income will be at least $110k
Was quoted $15,000-$20,000 from Cleveland Kitchen Tile & Design and while they were very nice that seems insane. The shower isnt that nice and the floor is a fiberglass shower pan...
Cleveland, the time is now! This election could impact the future of our neighborhoods, our schools, and our local policies for years to come. Voting is happening soon, and it’s critical that every one of us steps up to make our voices heard. Don’t let this opportunity pass—please, get out and vote!
Child of immigrants from the 90s, grew up speaking Spanish. My wife and I are considering moving to Cleveland, but it’s very important to me that our future kids grow up exposed to and learning Spanish. I recently read about the Buhrer academy, but don’t know much about it except the website. Was hoping someone could comment on their experience of it. Additionally, are there any more Hispanic pockets within the region? Favor the west side but open to other options!
We live on a busy main street, so I am taking my son around Cleveland area instead of going traditional trick or treating. Any businesses, displays, events etc that are worth stopping at? This caught my eye.
Hi! Going to a show soon at HoB and was wondering what security is like there and if it’s possible to bring in a weed vape pen or if they care really. Thanks!
Hello Everyone!
I am located in Michigan at Lover's Lane's Corporate Office and I am assisting our store manager's with hiring Sales Associates for their stores in Mayfield and North Olmstead. Our posting don't necessary gain a lot of traction when posting through Indeed and Handshake even when promoted.
So my question for my Cleveland peoples, where do you go to search for jobs?
As title reads 😂 meant to buy them months ago, forgot, and now it’s sold out. This is my last ditch effort. Please let me know if anyone hears of anything!
