I'm sorry if this is a question that gets asked a lot here. But I was curious about how the seating map works at Blossom Music Center? Does GA not get you access to the pit AND the lawn? My only experience at this venue was at Warped Tour back in the day.
Tagger’s Thrift in Middlefield
Hello internet :)
I thought I’d enlighten you guys on how the owner at Tagger’s Thrift is actually like. I worked there, it was all going so well. I worked with a fellow friend and we were doing well. I asked for certain things like payroll, benefits, etc. This is a very toxic place. It is a you will listen to me and you have no choice. I wanted a way to call-off/request days off. We were told we were a team and that we’d work together. I was working 40 hours and so was my friend. Things started going wrong because the owner wanted to be in charge, but had my friend be the supervisor. The owner love bombs and tends to pick favorites. The owner has said things like “I just want you to know that there was no information being shared among each other.” Which I thought was odd. But what was even worse was that on Labor Day, I knew it was not going to be busy. I knew that I didn’t need to be there. Well, this owner had no way to request days off and I was too scared to even ask for the day off. I went to talk with the owner and this is how the convo went.
Me:”Can I ask you something?” Owner:”yeah, what’s up?” Me:”why are we open on Labor Day?” Owner: went on to explain how the business person he was working for wanted this and blah blah. Me:”okay, well would it kill, I shouldn’t say that, hurt you if I don’t come in Monday?” Owner: “Well, ….” Went on to basically why I needed to be there. And then asked why I needed it off. Me:”I have something I need to do that day.”
The owner proceeded to try to spin things and word things in a way that would confuse me and make me feel bad that the owner had to work that day also and all this stuff. I literally worked in this area as a cashier and knew what Labor Day was like. I knew 3 of us did not need to be there.
So, it resulted in me getting upset and demanding that I’m not coming into work that day and I went on about my shift. I was not being difficult, I was not being mean, I simply wanted to have the day off and we had no way of requesting it off beforehand.
Now idk what it’s like to be there now and perhaps it’s changed, but one thing is true, the owner does not listen to you. I felt like I kept being accused of stealing from the drawer. I would discuss how I felt that there needed to be a better way to count the drawer and make sure everything is accounted for. The owner told me that it would take too much time to look at the paperwork and see where the missing money went.
When I was a manager at Save-A-Lot you counted the drawers, the safe, etc to account for the money and if someone was off you knew exactly who it was. I was simply trying to get the owner to understand that the money needed to be able to have a trail. If it did not then no one actually knew where the money went. The owner even stated that the drawer would not be over or under on his watch because one shift he was perfect. I had been perfect on my shift as well, doesn’t mean I’m perfect.
Anyways, I was in charge of too much to be paid what I was. The owner fired my friend simply because she needed surgery that would require her to need accommodations. The owner called her and I both lazy once and that he never met two people who wanted to work the least. Meanwhile I watched this owner literally lay on the bench we worked on and looked at Facebook.
This owner will not let anyone comment negatively on Facebook because the owner thinks the prices are not too much. In fact, I went to goodwill to look at books. The owner asked me to get some prices so I did. When I came back and showed the owner, they basically told me that the prices are the same.
THE PRICES ARE NOT THE SAME. The prices at goodwill are indeed cheaper and when I had been there the owner wanted to increase the price simply because it was going to be cold. I disagreed with the pricing but I did as I was told because you could not have an opinion other than the owners.
The owner would constantly boast about how the people who comment on the store on fb are raving about cleanliness and the prices being reasonable. You want to know how many comments there were? five when I left and I left in October. We opened in July…. It’s because the owner would block and delete anyone who commented negatively.
I will admit some of the clothes are good quality but they’re not that good. It’s a secondhand store. The clothes get upcycled over and over and over again. I would know because I worked there!
The clothes we wouldn’t put out we put in a bag and sent it back to the main owner and they would resell it to someone else who’d go through them and put them out on their floor.
I just tried to look the business up because the only post is via Facebook but I can’t access it. Want to know why? Because I was blocked. I needed information for a job application I was filling out and the owner is so petty that I was blocked! The owner blocked my friend as well.
The owner even told my friend that they thought it wouldn’t work out with me when I first started. I’m unsure why. But then I became the employee that everyone went to or asked for help. The owner wanted and told my friend when she was still there that they planned to work from home while others did the job.
I wanted to work part-time and the owner made me work 32 hours, didn’t care what I needed to work because I have two dogs, didn’t care if I had a fiance and a life outside of this store. I still don’t know if the owner is doing things illegally or not, but I know that when I worked there I was paid under the table and I quit because I did not agree with the illegal things. I thought the owner was going to work out all of this stuff as the business went on and it never did so I left. Tell me why I was in charge of my own payroll? I’m not hr. And yes before anyone asks, I plan to report this business. But I thought everyone should be able and allowed to share, comment, see what type of business they are supporting. Because someone who can’t take constructive criticism is not a good business person. In fact, it just shows how little they want to improve and do better.
Because I forgot to add after my friend was fired and I had demanded to have Labor Day off, the owner decided to have a conversation with me about how I cannot do that ever again. Mind you a business cannot keep you from asking for days off. But the owner found a way. After that I was too scared to ask for days off. The owner told me they were hoping I would have asked nicely. I may not have asked in the best way, but I did actually ask nicely. The owner wasn’t letting me have the option to say no. Which led me to getting upset. I even started crying when I got home. I’d also like to state that I’m ADHD and Autistic and this owner knew this. The owner wanted people who would do what they wanted no questions asked. After that incident I did everything they wanted. I did need money after all. This owner is a narcissist and you can choose to not believe me or choose to, but what happened to me was traumatizing. It caused me to never want to be under an employer again. Oh and the owner was accusing my friend of stealing clothes that were free donated clothing. Just saying. Oh and the best part is that when I quit without any notice the owner told my co-worker who then texted me and tried to manipulate me into staying. This coworker was close with the owner because they would tell the owner whatever was happening. Once I wasn’t feeling good and the owner called this coworker in front of me to confirm that I wasn’t lying about not feeling good. The owner also tried to manipulate a new person into working an 8 hour+ shift when this coworker hadn’t slept at all just so they didn’t have to come in. This owner only cared about themselves and how things affect them. It did not matter that the workers have lives as well. In fact, I had a birthday party planned for my birthday and everyone knew I was going to need it off to host my party. This owner asked me if I could come in at all…. On my birthday… I stated to them that it was my birthday which suggested no I was not going to be coming in when 70+ people were arriving at my house for my birthday.
Oh! And the kicker? There were only $200 in sales on Labor Day because I checked. WE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN OPEN. When this was brought to the owners attention they justified being open because all other businesses were open. In fact, all businesses in Middlefield other than grocery stores WERE NOT OPEN.
Also! Most of the comments on that Facebook page are from when we first opened and the pricing was not set yet! We simply put pricing down and fixed as we went. The pricing was cheaper when we first opened and because the clothes are name brand, newish, etc., the owner thinks that’s enough of a reason to make up the prices on SECONDHAND CLOTHING!
Oh and another thing! This owner liked to get you lunch or threw me a party for my birthday and my engagement and don’t get me wrong, I did appreciate it but I didn’t ask for it and I thought it was too much. I don’t like attention and I felt like I was constantly getting it. If this owner did a favor for you they found a way to use it against you. I stopped letting this owner buy me things and do things for me because I didn’t want to be in debt to someone who I never asked to help me in the first place.
I’d also like to state that the owner is a partner to the person who runs the store. I was never being unreasonable when working here. I simply didn’t like the sketchy things going on. Like scheduling me 32 hours a week when I asked for as little part-time as possible because I had dogs and a fiance that needed me home. I did more work there then what I was being paid to do. And the fact that I didn’t feel like I could ask for days off anymore after that incident when I stated I wasn’t coming in on Monday. No one should be used like that and should be able to have the basic necessities that comes with being employed.
Best jeweler for a nice ring, not engagement, but nice. Any suggestions?
Hi! I'm back on the apartment market and I'm totally at a loss. I currently live downtown which I want to move out of because having guests over is impossible because of downtown parking (especially on game/event days). I'm looking for something on the west side anywhere from downtown to rocky river and everything is somehow more expensive and lower quality than my current place downtown?
Does anyone have any recommendations of places to look or keep an eye on?

Title is pretty self explanatory. Got hit and run Wednesday morning and filed a police report. I had a picture of the car, license plate, and even the guy driving but they said they didn’t need any of the pictures. Basically just filled out a simple piece of paper and told me they’d call me in a week, am I screwed? Most of the stuff I’ve seen online makes it seem like they don’t resolve most hit skip cases but wondered if anyone had more recent experience.
Hey y’all! My band is playing in town tonight, what’s a good spot to get a late lunch/early dinner? Bonus points if it’s near Agora Theatre.
My son was throwing a stick for our doggo outside and a house window got in the way. We have Anderson windows. A Google search shows that window places are really not around me in Aurora. Any suggestions from this fine community? Also does anyone know if they would replace my window with a random window style or would they be able to match what I currently have?
Hello all,
I was wondering if you think that developers will begin to add more ground level commercial space in the central business district in order to attract more foot traffic. I know the city is retrofitting existing office buildings for residential due to office vacancy rates. So I think the extra population living downtown will be able to sustain such businesses.
Would love to hear your thoughts.
Want to hit up THE best. I love Seafood and Steak
Where are the best spots in the Cleveland Metro area to run when the weather is wintery? Specifically, are there any parks that tend to clean up their walking paths after storms clear? I know the stretch of the Towpath closer to Akron has a large section that’s all limestone and is generally less icy.
I signed up for the Cleveland Marathon and am trying to avoid the treadmill as much as possible. I live in Edgewater but am willing to drive.
Hi everyone!
I'm planning a bachelor party for my dad in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone had some recommendations for some nice, chill places to go for a steak and some drinks? The party is small, only 3 of us, and we just wanted a quiet place to eat and chat. Anywhere downtown or on the west side works great! Thanks!
Looking to get a tree tomorrow, but want to get a decent tree thats not ridiculously priced….
Has anyone gotten theirs yet and are satisfied with the price? Thanks in advance for any recommendations!
I’m dying to find out! Please help me Cleveland!
I have a handful of 1950s vintage Christmas ornaments and want to take them to a place that could sell them, like a consignment shop. Looking for any suggestions!
Looking for surgeon recommendations, doesn’t matter where in Cleveland. Also, if you don’t mind sharing how much you paid for the surgery as well.
There used to be Gaelic Imports in Parma but I don't think they survived the pandemic. There was that place in Rocky River, I forget the name. I'm looking for food specifically, but Scottish or English would be close enough as well, I suppose.
Thanks.
Have to head east of downtown this afternoon.
Thanks

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
