I’ve been hearing mixed opinions about preferences. For context I am a freshman bio major
I already ED
applied ea and just wondering
Just lookin for a percentage and was wondering if it was curved?
Which out of the 3 BIOL intro sequences did you find the hardest and the easiest?
I found 214 to be the easiest, but my friends who took it with Bader say 215 is easiest. 216 was toughest for me but got way easier once I just literally memorized each line of the 500 slides.
should i submit a 1400 sat to case? ik the average sat of admitted applicants to case is like a 1440, but according to collegeboard, my school’s average sat score is around a 900, so it might look good to college admissions officers if i do submit.
Hi so I applied to CWRU as a transfer and My HS GPA 3.66 My College GPA is 3.88 (They will consider both I called and ask) Part of PTK honor society which means I will get 25k
I receive the full amount of fafsa I did the online calculator thing and it says my estimated amount to pay is 3k
What scholarships or grants I may get ? Can I get merit base-scholarship as a transfer, if so what I may get with that GPA
Main Q will I get accepted with this GPA ? I heard CWRU is competitive
I’m currently taking Genetics with Crown and want to continue taking more genetics classes. Has anyone taken this Plant Genomics class with him? How was your experience? What were his problem sets like?
how is the class taught or structured? who's the prof and is it intimidating for beginners?
I live in Noyes, one of the new buildings. They added AC this year, and sent out in their email bragging about how they were using on HVAC system, which wouldn't make noise. In fact, they said if you like the sound of AC, to bring a fan so you can hear the blowing sound.
Now this thing is anything BUT quiet. It sounds like rushing water and is honestly more annoying than the sound of normal AC. Now this should not be the case for an HVAC system. Since it was just installed, the most likely cause would be air in the system, which they would need to purge to make sure there is only water in the pipes.
Basically, I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this. I'm thinking about emailing housing about it, but from my experience, I doubt they will do anything. It just is such an annoying noise and how do you expect me to sleep and study well with that on?
I need an 80 on E3 and get a 77 on the final to keep an A. Is that doable? I'm terrified about how hard she's gonna make it because the content is already so much worse.
HI y'all, the cwru application has a pre-med major and a biology major... what should i pick if i plan on majoring in biology as a pre-med?
EDIT: I picked biology and submitted my app last night. Thanks everyone!

Hi everyone, I am applying with major in Mechanical Engineering undergrad. I also have interest in playing piano so I want to submit some of my performances in the portfolio through my portal to enhance my application. As I am not going to pursue the music major, I submit the portfolio as optional so do I have to follow the requirements for the digital portfolio for music major students or I can submit any of my performances on the portal?
hi! i just got accepted to the MSMP program for spring 2025 and wanted to know if anyone could comment on their experience :)
Hi everyone,
I’m a junior at CWRU, currently living off-campus, and I’ve got a frustrating situation with the mail/package system. Back in early September, I had a $200 package delivered to Fribley Commons. USPS and the store both confirmed that it was successfully delivered and accepted there on Sept 9th. When I went to pick it up, the Commons staff told me they couldn’t process it because I live off-campus and that they would be returning it to the sender. This confused me because I had successfully retrieved an earlier package, which caused me to assume that Fribley was able to accept packages for off-campus students. However, the next package they received they informed me that it was going to be Returned to Sender and only after I told them I was staring right at my package that they begrudgingly gave me my package, with RTS scrawled on it.
Over the next few days, I managed to retrieve several other packages from the office after explaining my situation, but there remains one package, unfortunately the most valuable one, that is “already returned.” I changed my delivery address to my own apartment and have successfully received all subsequent packages, but the very last package delivered to Fribley is still missing. I’ve been checking in regularly with the sender and USPS, and both confirmed that no official Return to Sender (RTS) request was ever made. I've been to Fribley multiple times to ask about their RTS policies and implored them to check their RTS package piles or give any more information I can go off of, but It’s been two months now, and the store still hasn’t received any returned packages from me.
From what I've checked online so far, there’s nothing in the university’s policies that explicitly excludes off-campus students from using Fribley Commons for package processing. I’ve saved screenshots of the policies from the university’s website as proof. I have documentation of the delivery and acceptance of the package, plus confirmation that no official RTS request was issued. I’ve also called just about every number related to CWRU support and the CWRU mail system, and visited every help desk I could to get any leads for how to submit a complaint or get a case opened for my package, but the calls have just sent me in circles (the operator sent my line to Wade Commons after I explained my problem was with Fribley lol). Every attempt to reach someone with authority to investigate or address the issue (open a case, file a claim, or even discuss compensation) has been unsuccessful. People I spoke to were sympathetic but couldn’t actually help advance my case.
I’m considering taking this to small claims court to get compensation since the university accepted my package and may be responsible for handling it properly. I've even considered calling around legal offices/firms wherever for advice cos I'm at my wits end about this affair, but I wanted to ask for advice here first. Has anyone dealt with something similar? Any suggestions on steps I should take or whether small claims is worth pursuing?
If anyone has any idea of who I can even begin to talk to for this I would be endlessly grateful I'm losing my mind.
What was his class format like and what's his teaching style? Do I need to do 215 first or should I fare fine in this class having just taken 214 with darth bader
Hi, I'm applying to case western and they sent me an email saying that my application fee is waived however whenever I try to submit the application I have to pay. Does anyone know how I can redeem this free application?
I have been enrolled to the Macc program and need tips and advices for applying GA or TA along with various other assitantships postion at weatherhead.
Also what are the kind of part time jobs available at campus?
Hi guys. I’m a senior and i’m wonder what current student opinions about case are and how good the classes and professors are, specifically Chemical engineering but I’m open to other major’s opinions too.
What are your favorite study spots?
Not sure if this is allowed, but I bought a yearly locker rental in the men's staff/faculty locker room in Veale a couple weeks ago and long story short I'm no longer working at CWRU so I have no use for the locker. It's paid for through 6/1/25 and I would hate for it to go unused (I paid like 80 bucks for it) so if someone wants it (someone who is staff/faculty preferably but I don't know if they really police that room at all) reach out to me and I'll give you the locker number and combo.
Hey!
I'm a freshman here at cwru and I haven't been to a party yet. I don't really have any friends to go with, how weird is it if I show up alone? Any other tips on the party scene?
Would you recommend aking bio340 or bio346 first?
i applied to case western as int students with financial aid and hv 1420 sat , should i keep test optional(4.0gpa) or should i contact admisiion to change it
My parents sent me a letter that I have to fill out last week, but it still hasn't arrived. I was wondering if there have been delays in processing mail recently and that's why I haven't received a message from Wade to pick it up, or if since it was a letter instead of a box, it is sent somewhere else for me to collect? Additionally, since I have to send this back after filing it out, I was wondering if there was a designated mailbox I should be using to send it back.
Is it better to take CHEM106 with Dr.Meyer or Dr.Dutta? Which class would an A be more easily attainable?
I am an international student and have been admitted to a graduate program at weatherhead. Do let me know if there is any online communities other than reddit since its very inactive . Need something focused for international students 🙃
Hi all,
I am an enrolled international student for the spring 2025 intake from India and am looking for places close to weatherhead school of management.
As I was scrolling through listings in off-campus housing listings I was subjected to confusion since the responses I received from was not of case.edu IDs or anything to verify concerned person belonged or studied in the Uni.
I was under impression that the listings are verified by the Uni or is posted by the current students who are looking for housemates .
Is my understanding wrong in this regard?
Also do let me know if there are roommate required or accomodation vacanies :)
