So, I was going through my first edition of GOT and Aenys had bastards?
Yeah their names were Penus Waters who tried to claim balerion and got roasted
Waginuh Snow- married Gilbert Bolton
Uretheron the blind dragon- was born blind and became a knight
Ovaris Storm- drowned in the shipbreaker bay
It goes without saying that house of the dragon has a massive pacing issue with some episodes dragging on and others happening after several year time skips.
The ten year time jump was jarring to say the least for people who didn't expect it and I feel like it wasn't necessary. Milly was very popular as Rhaenyra and Emily was very popular as Allicent, those actors could have carried the whole season. And we would have had the time to explore more relationships that are severely underdeveloped as it stands now. Like maybe we could have gotten a scene where Rhaenyra actually has a conversation or interaction with any of her siblings, imagine that - in a story about a family feud.
And then in season two that allows us to have more time with the new characters like Rhaenyra and Daemon's children, who are barely existent as it stands now and have no personality apart from emotional support mule or emotional wreck. Plus you wouldn't have to age down the younger kids if you put a short time jump in the middle of season two. Characters like Aegon 2 and Viserys 2 are toddlers right now but in the book at this point they were fully talking children. Considering how important they are to the end of the story giving them characters would have been nice. Same with little Jaehearys and Jaeheara, if we actually saw them before blood and cheese and had an emotional attachment to them that scene would have hit like it needed to.
And the most important point for me, more dragons. If they limited the time skips they could have allocated that money to the dragon cgi budget and maybe possibly given us at least one scene where each dragon rider interacts with their dragon. Honestly that was my bare minimum requirement for the show and it couldn't even do that. We saw sunfyre once before he was mutalated and who knows where the hell dreamfyre is, just the second oldest dragon - not important I guess. If you can't afford to show the dragons why make a show about dragons? it's beyond me.
But I don't know I'm not a screenwriter or director so maybe I'm confused or missing something. Why were the time jumps mid season necessary, it's rushed the story too much and now they're slowing down too much to compensate. It's a whole mess now and makes me regret ever being excited for this show. What a waste of potential.
That's my opinion but I'd like to hear yours.
Why did Syrax descend upon the dragonpit mob? I know she was "well fed" and hadnt hunted in years. But surely dragons have some natural instincts, to use wings and fire in fight with non- dragons? was she perhaps searching for Joffrey? or was her bond with Rhaenyra flooding her with bloodlust?
Episode 5 and still interesting and a lot going on. Why does this show (or 2nd season) getting so much hate from the freefolk of Redditsteros?!?! WHAT SAY YOU!?
PD: Talking about House of the Dragon. Everyone knows GoT was good until it catched up with the books.

Under the heavy weight of her furs, Catelyn shivered. "A lens is an instrument to help us see."
"Don't play the fool. Stannis and Renly are one thing, and Eddard Stark is quite another. Robert will listen to Stark. Damn them both. I should have insisted that he name you, but I was certain Stark would refuse him."… They were talking about Father, Bran realized.
I finally decided to rewatch for the first time since season 8 aired.
Maybe it’s explained in the books, but why did Ned not trust his wife with who Jon really is? I’m pretty confident she would play whatever part he wanted her to in order to conceal his identity.
Why would he choose to instead have his wife think he cheated on her and subject Jon to a lifetime of resentment from her?
Tyrion was destroyed morality, spiritually and his dignity tarnished for a crime he didn’t commit. His love interest betrayed him, his entire family hated him even though he was the best of Tywin’s children and his morality was beyond everyone else’s. He constantly used his mind to help those around him without any thanks or for any rewards. The inhabitants of Westeros not only are nothing but backbiting savages but bit Tyrion, one of the best hands the ever fed them (pun intended as he was hand of the king). And this isn’t even bringing up the fact Tywin killed his first wife, dooming him to misery for the rest of his life.
If I were Tyrion after that brutal verbal beat down Shae gave him in the form of implicating not only him but a teenage girl in the assassination of a royal asshole like Joffrey, I’d give up all my faith in humanity. Once Tyrion escaped, I wished he’d go to Mance Raider and dole out any useful information he could give him as well as all the gold and silver he had left at his disposal. And if not that then help the white walkers in any way he could. The world of GoT is shit and there’s no fixing it. Tyrion should have watched the world burn after he gave everything he could to its citizens.
Yeah, I know this is a bit unhinged but every episode of this series has been an hour long series of brutal murders, r@pe and genocide with the royals either contributing to the madness or failing to contain it. There’s no staving back all the horrid crap. If GRR Martin ever finishes the novel series he should have Tyrion giving the white walkers or wildlings the keys to the kingdom and drink wine as he watches the last of the land burn to a crisp. Honestly, people, I’d only feel sorry for Sam and Arya dying. #GoWhiteWalkers
So, i dont have the exact quote but it is mentioned that drinking the Moon Tea, Hoster Tully gave Lysa to abort Petry's child almost killed her and rendered her borderline infertile.
But we know Pycelle tells Cersei, "I grieve to say . . . Queen Margaery is no maiden. She has required me to make her moon tea, not once, but many times."
So, for Lysa drinking moontea once almost kills her but Margerys remains healthy despite drinking it repeatedly
When she gets the letter from Lysa she says ""There is grief in this message, Ned. I can feel it."" While, we know the letter was fake/a lie it was the harbringer of grief, and lead to Catelyn arresting Tyrion
"I prayed for it," she said dully. "He was my special boy. I went to the sept and prayed seven times to the seven faces of god that Ned would change his mind and leave him here with me. Sometimes prayers are answered." Her prayer got answered just in a horrid way
She alone the warning in the dead stag and direwolf they found
When the shadow kills Renly, she "feels" stannis' presence but Brienne did not
In COK she is praying in an abandoned sept and has visions of the seven interposed with faces of people she knew
I can speculate on a few, and I believe we've already seen manifestations/hints of some.
