My daughter told the church she works for sure could use a wet/dry vacuum...one week later - voila! Needs a filter and an accessory or two and a good cleaning.
I often find myself at dumpsters that are in a tight confined space/up flush against a wall making it really difficult to keep the lid open and I don’t know what would be the best way to go about keeping it propped open since I can’t move them
They're getting rid of their olive oil coffees - marking out their olive oils and tossing them.
Sandusky mall Erie county filled with fake blood bottles, latex, costumes etc I couldn’t take much because I wasn’t smart and went while owner of mall was there. This dumpster is near the new tilt store. Be careful there is some broken glass cups and some fake blood was poured on items since it’s from a high end halloween store. I hate seeing all that wasted.
Homie was on break in the back, so I walked up and shoot my shot. After I insisted that I'm not one to leave any mess behind (mine or not!) He was so kind to say "I'll close my door when my break wraps up." Y'all, how do I make sure this remains a good working relationship 😂
Last night was only my second time diving but a cop rolled up and asked me a bunch of questions and then wanted my ID. He took my ID and sat in his car with it for forever, I've never had legal trouble and don't have a record so idk what he was looking at for so long but the whole interaction made me super nervous. I found good stuff both times I've gone but now I'm kinda freaked out. Do you guys have stuff like that happen a lot?
It was sitting next to the dumpsters in the dirt
Does anyone have any recommendations for good places to go dumpster diving in San Diego? I am familiar with spots in the Bay Area and wanted to go with the girl I’m seeing when I visit her in SoCal. We are not picky about what we get and are more in it for the experience- in the Bay I tend to go to big box stores but am open to people’s suggestions. I am very cognizant of making sure we do not take away from people actually in need and will obviously take that into consideration! Thanks!!!
Hello
I am 14 years old and have been collecting scrap metal since I was 11-12.
Recently I've decided to try my hand on dumpster diving and just see what I could find, and I've gotten some good finds, cable, cans, scrap metal etc. But yesterday I was doing my thing when suddenly a woman (prolly like 40, with the typical Karen cut 😭🙏) started yelling at me saying that what I should get out before I called the cops and that what I was doing was illegal. I was like "tf" and I backed off, and just returned everything back to the dumpster. She also said that she would report me to the police either way but at that point I didn't care, so I just dipped out of there real quick (I use a bike to transport stuff). Crazy day istg 😣
If you're planning on donating edible items to a food pantry, community food box, or giving it to people make sure they know that it is coming from a dumpster.
If it's something like a community food box where you aren't there to hand it to someone you can always put a note that says something like, "Rescued From The Dumpster".
I've found that most people don't mind but there are those that think it's disgusting.
