I don't know why this is happening, but every time I go to McDuff to infuse a weapon, the game just crashes for no reason as right as soon as I click on infuse, the game quickly quits out for no reason, so I am really worried about my copy right now as I am using the SOTFS edition on PC.
I have to ask because everyone I know has told me the same thing, The order to play the souls games is: Elden ring Demonsouls Darksouls Darksouls 3 Bloodborne And sekiro They tell me to just Not play dark souls 2 for some reason can I ask why? Is there something wrong with it?
Conure reacts to dyno & tillo for the 3rd time... after I covered him up a bit for screaming the first couple times (wait til the end)
I ask because I am doing the postgame content such as fighting Aldia, or the Frigid Outskirts, and thanks to soul farming, most of my stats are at least at level 50, except for ADP.
So currently ADP is at the lowest amount due to being at 30, and I don’t know if I need to level it up any further to survive the postgame content due to its high difficulty level in general regarding the DLC.
Ideas for second playthrough? Dunno what to do this time. First time I used Uchi all the way, been doing a lot of mages and greatswords in other souls games so i wanna do something different I've never done. Bows any good?
I'm new to the game I do not know how this exactly works, but I've heard it's possible Could someone help?
Yes, another Melee/Hex Thread, because there aren't enough yet.
I'm looking for a nice heavy-looking Weapon for a Melee Dark Build. I very much dislike the Look of the Crypt Blacksword Popsicle and thought I've found the perfect Weapon with the Curved Nile Greatsword...until I've found out that it can't be enchanted, which is quite a Turn-Off for me.
Which other Weapons can you suggest for a "Death Knight" Build? It should fit well with dark, heavy Armor (maybe Smelter Armor, not sure yet). It doesn't need to be a Sword, since the Build is already edgy enough. I know that Velstadt's Hammer also works well but again the Design isn't really what I prefer although it's still bearable for me.
Edit: If there's a Mod that turns the Popsicle into an actual Weapon, be free to share it. That would also work for me.
NG+, right when you come out of the exile holding cells hallway and kill the big glowing red guy with the scythe, theres an royal knight (crossbow) with a king at the end of a broken bridge, and to the left theres usually a guy up there that I killed before the pic. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way im right at the top of the ladder after the dogs by mcduffs bonfire too.
Edit: First time playing Dark Souls 2 I should mention.
Should I start as a Sorcerer like I was in DS1 and Bloodborne (first souls)? Dex like in DS3? Faith/strength like in Elden Ring. A melee character that uses buffs/healing from pyromancy/miracles? Knight so I can respec into whatever I want later? I'm kind of operating with the idea that strong options from DS1 (like Power within buffing) are nerfed in oblivion.
I've clearly been thinking too much about this. Give me some ideas and I'll pick whatever sounds cool.
I heer on online intranet that is persons does not is like dak sol 2 but i like dark soul two bekuz teh thing i think iz fun but othr person do'nt thinc is fun y he do that i wnat to tel my momom on him so she cna sent him 2 prison jail 4 bean mean 2 geam i liek this big problemo on internet why nobody els on read it dot com /daksol2 talk abt tis
Im a idiot and made a sorcerer character and for some reason killed the one who gives me the sword
I'm trying to complete Lucatiel's quest for the achievement. I summoned her for the Rotten but she got bugged in some way and I ended up beating the boss alone while she was hitting the griddy outside the fog gate and not entering. I technically summoned her and beat the boss with her surviving... Do you guys think that counts towards the quest's completion? It's no big deal, I'm just curious.
During my attempt to complete DS2 SOFTS i was displeased with how little damage even enhanced weapons do, I tried to go through with a fiery straight sword, a heide knight's sword and other things, in the very first playthrough that the game deleted after reinstalling WIndows, I played with a dragon tooth and through faith hoping to get the sacred oath.
Сurrently i decided to buy a club from Malentia"s store and things went amazing! Even on low level without much stat to scale pursuer and armored enemies are now being beaten in 2-3 strikes.
That lead me to a thought - many enemies in the game are armored knights with great physical protection - Dragon Guards, Knights of Heid, old knights, iron turtles, Alonian knights, Ruin Sentinels, and many many others - regardless of the damage, slashing and piercing weapons do absolutely ridiculous damage to them, and what if the ideal path for a first playthrough was to focus on blunt weapons?
Many people still play with huge swords or just swords, how do you deal with low damage to armor?
P.S - sorry for mi engrish, not my mothertongue
I was playing yesterday and got invaded by a hacker in Shrine of Amana. The hacker caused me to fly to the skybox and filled my inventory with 200 Bleed Dagger +15. Now when I try to open my inventory my game crashes. Does anyone know if this is fixable, this ruined my first playthrough in almost 6 years.
Edit: I play on PC
Ok so my character is a witch but I didn't like the the BLACK witch set purple
I have the witch hat, witch gloves, black leydia robes, but idk what to do for the pants
If someone knows of a black skirt that actually works pls tell me
(Penal skirt and bone king skirt didn't work)
New to the game, around level 80. Playing through PvE for the first time and just kinda learning as I go. Keep getting invaded by folks that one shot me or very close to it. I thought the invasions would be fun (I enjoyed them in DS1 because I always felt like I at least had a shot to win), but it's become a game of 'run back to the bonfire before they find you because you have no shot.'
Can't tell if I just suck because of suboptimal build (bastard sword+5, cleric armor +3, 99 Agility, 20 vig/20 end, rest in strength/dex) or if I'm getting paired with people with far higher level or something.
I do desperately wish I could turn off invasions without burning effigies since I'm still learning the game and they're a useful resource.

Hey so I’m stuck at this level because I’m on I don’t know what NG and enemies are tough asf, also I don’t know how coop works never played this game with a friend unlike others souls
Edit : ps4 platform: soul memory 33135858
For the past year i’ve been playing games like The Last of Us 2 and red dead redemption 2 so its not a surprise what is essentially the pillow princess of gaming is getting their ass handed to them, but good god. I spent my first ten minutes in the game googling, trying to figure out how to jump. I changed the key in the game menu. Still haven’t been able to do it. I still can’t get past the second bonfire and honestly i’m ready to give up and call this the hardest game I’ve played
I’m playing ds2 for the first time and seen these swords they are blue fire and red fire. I want to know how to get them and how long it will take me to get them. Also give other weapon recommendations that you like.
Hii! So yall know that when you interact with a fog wall in DS2 it takes like 2 seconds for the iframes to activate? Is there a way to get rid of that delay, like, a mod or something? It's really annoying, I don't wanna have to fight the entire Russian army every time I die to the Smelter Demon or Sir Alonne. If there is a mod for this, I would like to have it for both Vanilla and SOTFS pls, thankyou.
I don't exactly know what the to run I'm probably early into Dark souls 2 I just started my first playthrough I'm just wondering what should I really do
Hey everyone,
So I played this one years ago and back then I did a sorcerer run. I remember giving up during the DLC because I did not dish out nowhere near the damage as in the base game.
So fast forward and this time around I do want to give melee a run and hopefully see myself conquering the DLC this time around.
I do, however, have no idea where to start; which rings, weapons and ultimately what kind of build to go for. Are power standing the way to go?
Any and all help is appreciated! :)
