Are there any way to disable the mod's chromatic aberration? I get dizzy really quickly after just a while of playing because of this filter. Thanks in advance.
Hi all, hopefully the right community to post this in.
I'm looking to run Dark Souls 2 SOTFS using 2 randomiser mods: Enemy and Item Randomiser and Ran-Door-Mizer. I'm well aware this will probably result in an unfinishable (or near enough unfinishable) run of the game but I did it with DSR recently and want to at least try with them all.
Small problem I'm experiencing is getting the item/enemy randomiser to work with the door randomiser. While it is outputting spoiler logs that indicate item and enemy changes, that is not reflected in the game. The fog doors are there and working as intended, as well as an audio mod I threw in, but nothing from the Enemy Item Randomiser.
I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to this stuff and a lot of the lingo goes wayyy over my head, so does anyone with more experience have an idea where things are doing wrong? Is it to do with the order I installed the randomisers, or that I had to unpack the files before using the fog gate rando? Any insight or, even better, advice would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

Is there a mod that will let me quicksave. Iโm trying to beat midir in a SL1 run but I need to equip rings to cast a spell then switch to other rings before the fight and I want to save after doing that just to save time so I donโt need to swap rings every time I die.

This isn't necessarily for a mod. I'm actually gonna try to export it to SFM, but this is the only place I can think of where I can maybe get an answer. I'm trying to export Ashes of Ariandel. I already have the game unpacked with UXM, but I don't really know what to do. Can anybody tell me what to do?
Ok so full disclosure, i am not a modder nor do i know anything about coding but i have had this incessant dream of creating a mod for the og darksouls and i need someone to tell me it is too unrealistic to pull off and i should forget about it entirely. The idea is to turn he game into Alterac Valley from World of Warcraft, where you would have 2 ( maybe more ) factions starting at either ends of the world map, say anor londo and tomb of the giants for example. Each bonfire is like a flag to be captured where your faction can respawn at and npcs in the area respawn friendly to the faction that has captured the bonfire. The game is over when just like in AV you kill the factions leader at thier base. There could be heros locked away in cells / cages that you could locate the keys for to assist you along the way. Theres more but yeah like i said in the title can someone just please tell me this can't be done so i can quit thinking about this idea.
Hay so I installed the DSSI mod to change some fsb sounds but when I import the fsb sounds and try to change them they don't seem to be recognized as fsb. Is there a way I can check if I have the correct fsb file or any idea what the cause might be ?
Hello everyone! Just made my way over here, hopefully I'm in the right spot. I'm a bit of an over explainer so I'll try and get to the point.
I need someone's help for a project I'm working on, I need a .blend file (with the textures already attached) of DS1/DSR (whichever is better, if there's much difference at all) Firelink Shrine, but with some hopefully easy to make adjustments. I was not only having a little trouble learning DSMap Studio, but it was also having issues here and there on my PC anyway. I found a model online but all of the textures were in PNG format, I need them in .dds format. Otherwise, it will make my project take significantly longer since I'd need to open each one and re-export it as .dds.
As for the adjustments I needed made, I just needed the highest quality LOD's, so any low LODs or billboard textures would be removed. I was in contact with Fromsoftserve regarding this since one of their projects already deals with this sort of thing, but I haven't been able to get back in touch with them for over a month so I think they just have been too busy.

What parameter should i check to change one weapon stance? If, for example, i want to make the halberd resting on the shoulder in the idle stance, like the claymore does, where should i search for this function? (I'm at the start in this field so maybe it's not an easy first task)

Hi guys, recently I saw a texture mod in nexus mods, more specifically this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls2/mods/667
But it seems it was designed for the base version of dark souls 2, I realized the extension of the image textures were different between versions, so I tried dumping all the original textures of the armor and pasting the scholar edition ids of it on top of the textures I downloaded (Which were made after the og ver)
I ended up finding most and replacing them, but somehow, the reflections of the helmet and boots seem off compared to the rest, so I wondered if anyone knew more than I do of the matter, or how to extract all of the in-game textures.
Anything would prove useful, thanks in advance
ive been trying to download the DSR 2020 textures, and at first everything was fine, and the textures were working. then i noticed that:
i deleted the textures, used a DSR packer and unpacker, did everything (seemingly) right, but now im not sure if i did everything right, for example before the meny would say dark souls re-remastered, but now it doesnt *(which also confused me, since i never downloaded the re-remaster mod) any help??

I am working on a fashion tool for Souls games and the pre-rendered images used as icons in the games cause issues with color recognition due to the way that light and shadow are used.
I am hoping to be able to pull textures directly from Dark Souls 1-3, Elden Ring, Bloodborne and Demon's Souls but wanted to check if anyone here had access to the files already. I am specifically looking for the colored textured used to apply colors for armor, weapons, and shields.
Ideally having them labelled with their corresponding item name would be ideal but I understand that is not a simple request.
If anyone here can be of assistance please comment or DM me, and let's talk about ways to access/label/extract the textures optimally without a massive time investment.

Hello, I've been banging my head against the wall for a couple of month and trying to find any information on Extracting Sekiro models into 3D Editing apps and only met face to face with numerous dead-ends.
When unpacking Sekiro files using UXM and Yabber I got to have some select models but they seem to have all their various Low Poly versions attached together (See Photo).
Does anyone know of any way to either correctly extract the desired models from the game, or maybe a tool to fix this amalgamation of vertices and faces.
I would be much obliged to you, if you could help me

I'm interested in trying to mod the Dark Souls player character - replace it entirely with something like a marble or BanjoKazooie.
I'm new to modding and have watched a few videos, but most of them are a few years old, so I was wanting advice on what programs or methods are more current (if any) and possibly a go-to channel/video to get started with modding.
Also, with my idea of replacing the character, is it better to mod DS or extract the levels out of DS, import them into Unreal, then combine different elements there?
Is it obvious I have no idea what I'm doing? Thanks for the help!

Daughters of Ash is good to play Dark Souls again as if it was the first time, but as a game of its own, do you think it's good? If I was a bout to play Dark Souls for the first time and someone secretly swapped it for DoA, would I have a better or a worse experience?
I ask because I played Dark Souls up to the Four Kings but in the second half, even though I found it a lttle easier, I wasn't having fun anymore; and I heard DoA remixes the game a lot so I hoped it would result in a game that could grab me from start to finish. However the reviews I've seen, when they reveal something about it, mostly talk about ways the mod fucks players over for expecting it to behave like the base game.
I'm not really intrested in Dark Souls But Meaner. Is this what the mod is, or does it actually make changes that are more intresting and/or fun than the original?

I'm new to Dark Souls modding, and i'm going through SOTFS. I'd like to add a mod to remove the cosmetic effects of hollowing (not even the gameplay effects, I just don't want to look like rancid beef jerky). Will this potentially get me locked out of my game?
Follow up question: parts of the Lion Warrior set are absolute bullshit to get, since the only thing that drops them is a non respawning enemy. My GF reccomended spawning them in via cheat engine, is this a bad idea? Would it be better to try and make it so the enemy can respawn normally, and farm it that way?
i dont know what i did wrong but vortex doesnt work,i installed all the mods corretcly on vortex but when i run the game whit vortex the game is vanilla

Soo I'm kinda new to modding and as i mess around with paramvessel and SoulStruct. I wanted to make a pyro flame which scales with int/faith like the sequels.
Problem is I just couldn't understand how the hell pyro magadjust changes with each upgrade. All pyro flames at different stages of upgrades (ie +3, +15, ascended +2 etc) have non-scaling calcCorrectGraph as they should be. Bu there is no difference in equipparamweapon parameters except Intelligence scaling which afaik is inconsequential as the flame uses non-scaling calculation
Soo anyone can explain me the mechanics behind this scaling?
I'm just starting to try using soulstruct, but I'm having an issue and I feel like it might be a silly thing I'm missing so I didn't want to bother the dev and figured maybe somebody here started with a similar issue.
TLDR; character models aren't importing meshes, blender 4.2.2, Bloodborne and Elden Ring multiple dcx attempted. Soulstruct 2.1.2 which is about 6 hours old. Before I log an issue on the git, I want to be sure it's not something I'm missing.
Whenever I import character models it's just bones, no meshes. I tested with maps, equipment, those meshes are loaded. It did work with a couple bosses from bloodborne although textures are always missing. Doll is just bones, townsfolk as well. So I swap to ER and Melina is bones, Malenia same deal, Radahn same. Textures are always missing, and most character models have no mesh. I tried directly importing FLVR's and same deal. I read documentation, watched the now outdated YT tutorial, and believe I set it up right, but just struggling here. Anybody else been through this?
Hello! I have just started using mods and i manually installed Daughters Of Ash, really enjoying it, reccomended! Now i have not yet finished my run but also wanted to try the Roguelike Souls because it seemed interesting, is there a way to switch between mods without losing my progress? I saw a mod manager on Nexus Mod but i'm afraid to lose my DoA save... that's why i am asking you more expert people!

Hi I'm playing a DS3 randomizer where bosses are switched out for bosses and enemies for normal enemies. I had hoped that each boss would only appear once but deacons of the deep (a very boring boss especially as a single Guy) has appeared multiple Times. Is that normal and does anyone know the reason for this?
