I am trying to raise money for a family in dire need of assistance. I know times are tough for everyone. A penny toward the cause would be greatly appreciated by them. Their whole life's have been a struggle to survive.They are about to lose what little they have left .They have lost their kids.Their world is crumbling beneath them everything is due all at once and they are in debt and dont even have a penny to their name and about to lose what little bit of sanity they have left if any at all.They need help on their monthly bills. I set up a crowdfunding page for my cat (she has diabetes and needs ongoing care that's rather expensive), and I'm not sure that I set it up at the right place. I chose Waggle (<-- not gonna lie, that goes to her page) because it's for pets, but some of the questions they ask during set up are kind of odd. They wanted me to call my vet and ask for the administrators name and email address. I knew before I called that they weren't going to give me that info, but I called anyway. I gave them the info that the receptionist gave me. My cat's campaign was approved, but I feel like I should have went through GoFundMe, because it's better known. But Waggle, if I read things correctly, sends the money straight to the vet. But they also limit you to how much money you can raise.

So what I'm asking is, did I make a mistake in choosing Waggle? Should I have went through GoFundMe? Thoughts? Opinions?

Hi guys. I had a talk with my doctor and I have almost a 100% chance that my neck mass is cancerous. We already know what they all say it's a blessing that's it's only thyroid cancer. It's highly curable but for someone who is a breadwinner like me with no savings as all my salary goes to our bills this is not a blessing. I can't save for the operation as nothing is left every time I receive my salary and god if I ever get enough fund for the operation what happens after? I can't work after operation hence I won't have salary but the bills won't stop. I keep on trying to find additional work but I keep on getting rejected. I don't know what to do anymore. I show everyone that I'm okay but in reality, I don't know what to do I'm panicking that my sickness will spread. I'm lost, I'm broke. Being a breadwinner and broke s*cks especially when you're sick.

I'm not sure if this is the right avenue to post this but I'm kind of desperate. I can't let my sickness beat me as I have my family who relies on me still. I need to stay strong for them especially as my parents are sick too and they need their medication. I would appreciate any help prayers, job offers, monetary and even if you just want to talk. I honestly don't have anyone I can share how I feel about this as I have to stay strong for them. I have to show them that this sickness is nothing and I am not struggling but in reality I am. It's so hard and there are times where it is so painful.

I am a Games Design student at university and over the summer a sizable group of us would like to create a vertical slice of a game with which we can post a crowdfunding campaign with the aim of obtaining commercial licenses for software and therefore make a sellable game which we can release on steam.

The question though is if we choose to make the initial vertical slice using student licensed software (not for commercial use), are we able to use this non-commercial project to gain funding in the aim of using that money to get the commercial licenses required to make a game that we can sell.

On one hand we will be receiving money from the "idea" of the game however we will not be selling it or even giving access to people to the project until it has been created through commercial licenses.

However on the other hand, we will be getting money (for development costs) from displaying something created using non-commercial licenses.

I am a little stumped here as there is no set definition for what classes as a commercial project in relation to games and crowdfunding.

Does anybody have any experience or knowledge in this area?
