Hi everyone!
Life is filled with contrasts. Some people live comfortably with all the essentials within reach, while others struggle just to find clean water or safety. With so many urgent societal issues—from food insecurity and homelessness to climate change and human trafficking—it can feel overwhelming to make a difference. But that’s where this new platform comes in!
We’re building a unique social crowdfunding platform that goes beyond traditional charity. Here, you can learn about pressing global issues, raise awareness through unbiased articles, and propose actionable solutions. It’s designed to be an interactive space where people from all walks of life can team up, share ideas, and work on real-world solutions. And it’s not just about discussion; it's about action and accountability.
What Makes This Platform Different?
A Platform for Collaboration and Learning
This platform is about community-driven solutions and giving everyone a chance to contribute in a way that feels right for them—whether that's financially, by sharing knowledge, or joining a project team. We’re inviting passionate people to help shape our platform’s beta and provide valuable feedback to make it even better.
The beta launches on November 30. If you’re interested in joining or want to discuss ideas further, feel free to DM me here on Reddit or message me on Discord at itsomidkhber. I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and suggestions as we build this together. Let’s create a world where more people have the opportunity to help and make lasting, impactful change. Below is the link for you to add your email or reddit username if you're interested.
Hello Reddit,
I’m excited to introduce The Apex Dart Center, a professional space dedicated to darts players of all skill levels—whether you're just starting or aiming for the highest level.
The center will feature top-tier facilities, expert coaching, and a vibrant community for all players. We’ll have dedicated practice areas, tournaments, events, a full-service bar, and even a shop stocked with everything a darts player needs. We’ll also be offering hire opportunities and streaming our events for players and fans to enjoy from anywhere. Plus, our website will offer memberships, merchandise, and the ability to watch events online.
We want this to be a place where people can come to improve, compete, and connect. Whether you’re here to enjoy a night out with friends, compete at a professional level, or just unwind, The Apex Dart Center will be a space for everyone.
I’m not asking for donations, but I would really appreciate it if you could help spread the word by sharing the link to our crowdfunding campaign. Your support in sharing this message will bring us one step closer to making this vision a reality.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Together, we can build a place that will benefit the entire darts community.
I have to create a fictional crowdfunding campaign for my English class. I need questions for a backer survey and a feedback form. Can you please help me come up with ideas or help me understand how to come up with a process to do these?
My fictional project is called Whiskers and Wags Wellness. It's goal is to increase pet adoptions, provide additional finances to local animal shelters, and educate the community on animal welfare.
I have no clue what to ask for questions for the backer survey and feedback form. The resources my professor gave aren't really helpful. At least, not for my project. I have no idea what to ask because I don't understand.
The rewards that they can possibly receive (based on how much they would fictionally give me money) are a digital thank you card, donors name on my fictional website with listed tier, digital certificate, desktop and phone wallpaper of animals that were helped from the donations, a special thank you video featuring the animals helped, a t-shirt, custom thank you video from staff, framed photo of an animal that benefited from the donations, special behind-the-scenes tour, name posted at events, and name the next animal that comes into a shelter. Anyone who adopts through my fiction campaign would receive a gift basket with toys, treats and a collar.
I hope this information helps. I've never posted to reddit before, but I hope yall can help. Thank you so much if you do help. Sorry!
I have a vision, a business idea so that I can provide a better life and future for me and my children. So that life will not be a day to day struggle. So my children can wake up and not be effected by the stress of not having the financial ability to provide for them. How are we going to pay bills, fix car, buy food, buy school clothes, pay for there sports equipment and fees, have gas to get to work or drive them to school. I need funding to start this business but do not have anyone to ask. I've applied for business loans but I have no credit and have been denied at every turn.. I'm a women, a mother, an artist, a hard worker. I am a person with a drive to succeed, I just need a little help to do so. Can anyone help me achieve my goals and see my vision become a reality? My cashapp cashtag is $traclynng Fhank you for reading my post
Despite trying my best to make money, let me try this “I just used all I could reach in my 2ms to make this idea work” idea here. Based on the growth that Reddit has seen its results recently, we know we are a community of enough many, that, there is a good chance my mom might find this tomorrow or my ex is thinking if I am going to be rich soon or not, right? So then, why not play a game?
The game: you as the player, would send me a DM, with a random message you like (I am begging you to not make it horrific cause I am genuinely a human being reading that, and no, we are not killing anyone either Jef), and let me know that what are some of the topics your interested recipient will be interested in. Then, I would use my dog’s account (which is just there, he can’t use the internet very well, sniffing to do) to select the same areas of interest, and would post your message there with the top most active account at that time.
Some rules:
Again, absolutely nothing horrifying (and I guess the line for consent is very faded here, so no kinky stuff either? I might be able to regulate this later).
You must type the recipient’s name at the beginning of your message with an easter egg so they would make their best guess if they might be the recipient. No family names. But if enough players joined, I will add a form so genuine people can privately add their name to a pool so I (as the admin) can see if there’s a match for that person and let them know that they were indeed the person of interest. I will charge more, I genuinely don’t have shit to spare for now.
Reach out to each other then? Maybe you would actually start making friends (while being absolutely respectful people and not pricks). Or, if you thought about someone reach out to them (whether you want them around enough that you paid to talk to them but somehow didn’t reach out to them directly (hopefully not for legal reasons tho, I meant in a more dramatic sense), or didn’t and the person is just floating in your brain). Life’s short, shorter than me, so very short (also but don’t reach out to toxic assholes? You deserved better baby. Unless you’re my ex, then damn you juliet).
Let’s start with 4.99 a play? Stripe?
Share this. And that. And some good news.
Hello Reddit,
I’m reaching out to connect with ethical investors or anyone with insights on mission-driven funding sources for tech products. Over the last two years, we’ve been building up a strong team on various projects, and we’re now positioned to focus entirely on BotOracle—an AI assistant designed to go beyond basic conversation with user-controlled memory, task automation, and seamless integrations. We’re creating a tool that prioritizes genuine user functionality over empty hype.
Our core values:
Fair, global wages and strict adherence to ethical labor standards Building an AI solution that is practical, effective, and keeps user autonomy front and center Long-term impact, with an eye toward sustainable growth rather than quick profits
We’ve got stable funding for now, but we’re aiming to bridge any potential funding gap in advance as we ramp up development. If anyone has recommendations on grants, funds, or networks that align with ethical tech, I’d love to hear your suggestions.
Hi everyone, I’ve funded a film production company with a very clear vision, focused on genre and horror films. It will be 2 years in January, but I’m afraid that I will not be able to reach that goal! Let me explain to you: the company is based in Italy, and recently to participate to any national fund, you have to pay a fee (10k for features) and you will not be sure if you will receive the money and on top of that, you have to be 2 years old to partecipate, and now the rule is about to change to 3 years old! Now, just to survive, I work for local businesses managing their social medias and creating contents, but is not enough! Too many expenses going on, and I can’t afford anymore, plus my clients pay me late or not enough! I’m looking for investors or anyone who can make donations, and we can make a deal for every movie that I will release. Thank you for your support
A friend has helped set up gofundme to help our family out of an urgent situation but I have very little friends/family to help promote, what do I do? And time is running out and campaign is not moving. Please help :(
In 2019, Cee Marlin founded the Marlin Yard Foundation with a vision rooted in his experiences growing up in Sint Maarten. Watching his community face economic struggles and environmental challenges, Cee became determined to create sustainable solutions that would uplift his community and preserve its cultural heritage. His goal was clear: tackle urgent needs in Sint Maarten while making local people active participants in the process, not just recipients of aid.
This vision gave rise to the Marlin Yard Foundation, focused on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) like food security, environmental protection, and cultural preservation. Cee understood that traditional philanthropy models—primarily based on one-time donations—weren’t enough to foster lasting resilience. He felt that meaningful change required community involvement and ownership. From this conviction, the concept of Crowd Profit Sharing (CPS) was born.
The CPS model invites people from around the world to support impactful projects with a unique twist—they become co-owners of these initiatives. By investing in CPS projects, participants gain a share in the returns, both financially and through direct community impact. From restoring a historic plantation to promoting sustainable agriculture, CPS allows supporters to feel like co-creators of a better, more resilient Sint Maarten.
Each project, available for viewing at Marlin Yard Foundation Projects (https://www.marlinyard.org/cf-listing-page/), aligns with SDG principles, providing individuals with a way to support cultural preservation, local agriculture, and eco-tourism. Through CPS, Marlin Yard is pioneering a new kind of social investment model, blending traditional philanthropy with impact investment, and inviting supporters to share in the journey of transformation.
For those inspired to experience this work firsthand, Cee also invites people to Vicky’s Keys, his volunteer center in Sint Maarten. At http://www.vickyskeys.com, visitors and volunteers from around the world join to learn, contribute, and participate in sustainable projects, fostering community and global partnerships.
Cee Marlin welcomes everyone to connect directly, join the journey, and be a part of his vision for a resilient Sint Maarten, where the community and its supporters build a sustainable future together.
As a kid, nothing is more frustrating than not being heard, and not being able to communicate. But language is abstract! Reading, writing, and even speaking can be hard for young children, who strive to feel understood and often aren't.
I was one of those kids. A quirky, neurodivergent foreigner girl who had no clue what was going on in school half the time. And when I learned to read and write, I dove down the language rabbit hole to try to understand my peers better. But it was hard! I wanted to understand, and be understood, except I just wasn't very good at it.
So 20 years later, I've invented Turrim. It's a building blocks game, which takes each letter of the alphabet and gives it a 3D shape, so you can build words with it! It turns that abstract teachery stuff concrete, and it turns kids' imagination just a bit more abstract. What Turrim does is bride the gap between parents and children, teachers and students, healthcare professionals and patients.
Plus, it stems from a passion for design. I studied design at a Parisian art school in France, and got pretty good at making products people need! This one is special though, because it's what I needed as a child. I'm super excited to share it with the world, and help kids today turn their quirkiness into a superpower. In the same way I channeled language to be my best ally, children all over will now have Turrim as a stepping stone between the imagination of childhood and abstraction of adulthood.
I've turned my difference into my superpower. If you'd like to learn more, everything is available here: https://www.ulule.com/turrim/
This is Muffin, she is only 2 years old, i adopted her when she was about 1 years old after being left on the side of the road, she has a very rare condition in cats she has what you call "luxating patella " which just means her knee caps pop in and out of place, she got diagnosed with a grade 2/3 where surgery is the only way to correct this. This situation is so uncommon in cats that vets rarely perform this surgery. You mainly see this kind of thing happening in dogs. We found a vet that is willing to go and do this for her but i unfortunately dont have the means to pay for this so im asking you all if you are willing to help to get my cat back to her normal off the wall jumping self! Praying, Sharing & even Donating would help. I will do anything i can to help her have the most amazing life. If you were to meet her you would understand why giving up on her is not an option!
Hi there - unfortunately my good buddy's wife just went to get checked out for pneumonia-like symptoms and they found that she has stage 4 cancer. They are both in their thirties and have two young children. They are both amazing people and this is absolutely devastating.
I want to set up a crowdfunding account that I can share on Facebook and am wondering what my options are.
My initial thought is gofundme - but I'm wondering if there are other, better platforms I could use.
Please let me know.
Please check out my GoFundMe campaign. Your support is appreciated.

Hey, I was just looking for some input on some crowdfunding. So there is this old water park close to where I live, and it had been shut down for quite awhile due to not really being kept up. It was kind of going downhill for quite a few years prior, but when it was running, it seemed like a goldmine for the 3 months or so it was opened during each summer. Now for the funding, I had an idea of getting the water park in some sort of contract to hold it for me, and while I had that, my plan was to go to businesses in the local area (which was a pretty big area since everyone came to the park from all over) and see if business owners or even people would donate or lend money. I was thinking of having 3 options for people. 1. Donation 2. Lend money and just be back what ever is lent when I get the park going. 3 lent money with say something like 10% on their money. For 1 and 2, I would have a huge billboard at the park acknowledging the people that have helped get the park up and going again. As for paying people back, I’m hoping to get the park going, getting some good revenue coming in, getting the business appraised, going to the bank, borrowing against it, paying everyone back, and then I now have a functional business where I didn’t have to put any of my money in. Would love to know people's thoughts on this, if they’ve done it, problems they’ve run into, those kinds of things. Thanks
This is going to be quite a large post. TLDR at the bottom.
I’ll begin by thanking anybody who has any input for what I’m about to outlay. Any information regarding the topic is valuable and appreciated, even the stuff that is disheartening or hard to digest. If it’s on topic then I’m all ears.
I am a recording artist/producer/engineer/event manager based in South Eastern Australia. I’ve been working on music since my teens and have just entered my 30’s. It’s been a long journey so far but recently a few events have occurred that have seen my career prospects take an upwards trajectory. My social media presence is building, I have a dedicated fanbase who have stayed with me for the long term and have recently been afforded the opportunity to be mentored by a few experienced industry professionals in the coming 6 months. It’s exciting times for me personally. Music can be an unforgiving and ruthless business and I’ve definitely felt the sting in the past, I stuck at it because I believed in myself and I love what I do.
Which brings me to the business side of things. I am the sole owner on the master and publishing side of my current release schedule which will see at least 60 songs be uploaded in the next year to all streaming platforms in a popular genre of music. Such a huge rollout of music is made possible by the fact I write/record/produce all of it by myself to industry standard without anybody else needing to touch it. Since i’m in control, I don’t answer to anybody about how I go about rolling things out. This is important for a few reasons but mainly that any money made from the 6 types of royalties available from this music goes directly to myself and is not shared by anybody else eg, streaming, mechanical, live shows, sync licensing arrangements and radio royalties. Essentially it’s where every artist dreamed they could be. Intellectual Properties of trademarked artists signed to mostly horrible record deals being who I refer to when I say “every artist”. Getting signed to one of those deals isn’t a bad idea but it’s not the route I took and not what I’m willing to do to make a buck.
This is where it gets a little tricky. With all of this going on, it’s become VERY clear I need to start a company that controls my IP, essentially my own independent record label to attach my trademarked name to and protect my assets. This is also important for branding purposes, legitimising my operations and making sure all future earnings are attached to an entity and not just a personal sole trading ABN. Industry professionals tend to look at those who don’t have these “ducks” lined up as amateurs, which in turn means the opportunities in the industry to grow stagnate.
Getting to the topic of the Reddit thread, I’m wanting to know how I go about creating a successful crowdfunding campaign to get this off the ground. There’s obviously GoFundMe to consider but I’ve looked into Kickstarter to gather some information and looked at a few current campaigns. Should I go with a company like Kickstarter? Are there alternatives? Am I able to create multiple campaigns over many platforms or am I restricted to one company at a time? What are the drawbacks associated with running these sorts of campaigns?
Thank you for taking your time to read and any information is much appreciated.
TLDR; artist, own my own music and wish to crowdfund an independent label to attach royalties to , r.o.i on how to go about it.
