Fun Guys Card Game - Out On Kickstarter Tomorrow

Hi! Fun Guys is a card game about shrooms.

I've been working on this project since 2020 , now it's finally ready and I'm really proud ^v^

The game has a tcg-like gameplay, and tries to be as mechanically simple as possible, while retaining the complex situations that could arise from a much more complex game.

Also, we tried to balance the game by buffing every single card as much as possible, so you get a ton of cards which break the game, but every other card is as powerful as them, so the game is constantly crazy and very chaotic.

Also, we tried to as scientifically accurate as possible, so every shroom card gets the scientific name of the fungus that inspired it under its name!

Of course, I encourage everyone to ask about the game in the comments :)

Soiled - Coming to Kickstarter September 1!

Hey there gardeners,

I'm pleased to announce that my first ever game, Soiled is coming to Kickstarter this September!

Soiled is a strategy game for 2-4 players. The object of the game is to plant, grow, and harvest vegetables for points totaled at the end of the game. Players must grow their plants in a 2x3 garden plot in their personal play area, and attempt to cultivate their plants while opponents use hazards to try and slow, stop, and ruin plants before they can be harvested!

Soiled is very easy to learn, with a quick and easy rule book, along with personal Legend and Turn Guide cards for easy reference. However, with a large deck and a variety of cards, strategy is varied and has a surprising amount of depth.

I hope you enjoy Soiled as much as I enjoyed making it!

Feel free to ask me any questions about the game here! I will reply when I see it!

Biohazard - 100% Funded in Kicsktarter!

https://preview.redd.it/h6xc1z1ejlxc1.png?width=1339&format=png&auto=webp&s=cc80ca94a184a11fce2618278e786738dafe0c71

BIOHAZARD just got funded on Kickstarter and this is the message from the Team!

"Some will say this has not been the kind of explosive start one would expect for a Kickstarter game like ours, especially if we compare it to the big titles we all love from companies with "virtually unlimited" marketing budget that reach that "fully funded" status in just a couple of hours - if not minutes- but as you know, we are not in that league… (just yet!)

And yet the truth is that every history, no mather how big or small, has its own beginning and by having backed our very first project, BIOHAZARD, you guys will be forever part of ours!

So with 3 more weeks to go, and as a token of our appreciation, we've decided to include several additional Stretch Goals on top of the original ones, paying a close look to your own suggestions! Make sure to check them out as we're committed to make this Kickstarter Exclusive even a more unique experience!!

Thanks again for making our dream come true… and stay tuned for more!

Dragon in the Hut 🐉 campaign: what would you add?

Hey everyone! 👋 I'm currently working on the Kickstarter campaign for my game "Dragon in the Hut," and I'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas! 🎲✨

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dragoninthehut/dragon-in-the-hut-the-dragon-hatching-card-game

Dragon in the Hut is the dragon-hatching card game. An action-packed and easy-to-learn game with a pinch of strategy, a splash of rivalry, and two drops of bluff. And dragons!

I'm looking to make the campaign as exciting and rewarding as possible for backers.

So, what would you like to see added to the campaign? Are there any exclusive rewards, stretch goals, or add-ons that would make you even more excited to back the project?

Your input is incredibly valuable to me, so please feel free to share any suggestions or feedback you have in the comments below. Let's make "Dragon in the Hut" the best it can be together! 🐲💥

Thanks in advance for your input! 🙏

Responses Needed for Survey on Crowdfunding Board Games

I'm a college student studying sociology and data analysis. For much of my life, I've been both an avid collector and player of tabletop games. In college, I've been able to combine my vocational path with my passion for board games, which has been particularly exciting.

I currently need respondents for a survey exploring people's experiences with crowdfunding and tabletop. If you have any experience with that intersection- even as a window shopper, I'd love it if you'd take my survey! It's about 15 questions of varying types and should be friendly to both phone and monitor screens. The link with this post will also anonymize respondent data. Any responses are greatly appreciated!

Pre-launch page feedback and non-spammy tips to grow awareness?

We've been working on a game (HotShot Pickleball) for about 9 months and while we're quite confident about the game (playtested by over 60 people, a lot of positive engagement by the pickleball community, lined up manufacturers and 3PLs, etc), kickstarter utterly terrifies me.

We've put up our pre-launch page, have started posting on social, and are looking for ways to showcase the pre-launch page with people who enjoy casual board games, but the idea of posting in FB groups and discords just seems a bit spammy. We're not averse to ads, but don't know if that makes sense before the campaign is live.

Am I wrong? Are there other ways you've seen or examples of approaches that are both authentic and also bring a lot of interest?

Most of the market research and engagement we've done is in the pickleball community, and while there's a lot of interest, they just want to buy the finished item, and don't really care/or aren't interested in/don't understand kickstarter.

I'd love any tips or thoughts about the best way to approach crowdfunded boardgame enthusiasts, especially those interested in casual games and especially during the pre-launch phase.

Here's our pre-launch page - would love any feedback about how it reads/looks as well! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sidequestcity/hotshot-pickleball

Thanks in advance!

Hydrologic Cycle almost to goal!

hello!

we at the Central Michigan University press want to say thankyou! Within a week of funding we are 1000 away for our goal. Now at this new mile stone I would like to share some more information about the game here. This game is intended for anyone to play but it does hold a strong educational background. Hydrologic Cycle meets a number of Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Common Core Math standards for learning the global water cycle for grades 3-12 using the introductory side of the game board, while the advanced side of the game board is appropriate for use at the university level. It can be used by teachers and homeschoolers alike. We even offer curriculm and classroom bundles. Check it out using the link below!

What is the #1 reason you back a crowdfunded game?

Is it artwork? Concept? Game play mechanics? Knowing the people behind the game? Something else?

Would love to know how folks choose which games to back!

Fantasy Tavern Brawl (launching later in 2024, first prototype)

Just received the first prototype of my 2nd game, Fantasy Tavern Brawl! Below are the links for a video with me unboxing of the prototype and the pre-launch page, for anybody interested :)

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/adrao/fantasy-tavern-brawl

https://youtu.be/pUHxlMgnMM4

Fantasy Tavern Brawl is a fast-paced game where players fling, slide, or drop their cards towards the tavern and then place or remove meeples based on the card’s ability. Every card that touches an existing card enlarges the tavern.

Some cards will allow you to create additional floors to the tavern by placing the card on top of existing meeples, eventually creating a three dimensional chaotic puzzle of cards and meeples. At the end of the game, players count the number of meeples still on top of the cards forming the tavern, with those on higher floors scoring more points.

Included are rules for a variety of scenarios to play, each with different combinations of cards and rules for drafting them.
