Went with Indiegogo this time instead of Kickstarter, was that a good choice?
We had a successful kickstarter last year and launched a follow-up product today, but chose to go with Indiegogo this time.
The main reasons are that we're focusing on pets this time (a product that stops pet odors and their cause), which Indiegogo generally performs better in, but also because Indiegogo offered a ton of support, has in-house ads teams, and does actual vetting.
Last time I did a detailed post-mortem itemizing our costs for each ad, promo, etc, and I'll do the same this time. I'll post any Indiegogo info I'm allowed to also, as they offered way more support than Kickstarter, which will hopefully compensate for their 3x fewer website visitors. Kickstarter was unsurprisingly cold and said they could only consider offering any help after we finished the campaign page. But we're still working on that as the campaign progresses, so it wasn't an option.
Happy for feedback, and note we'll continue to update graphics and things but had to launch this week so we didn't launch too close to Christmas.

Hi there, maybe you can advice me: I am creating a pretty unique digital planner with some special functions that are for a niche customer base, I was wondering if I could do a campaign on indiegogo for it, but I had this idea that indiegogo is mostly for tangible goods or at least apps, I have seen a couple of campaigns for planners but only physical ones, not digital. Do you think it can work for a digital planner? Aside from basically offering a pre-sale to backers, what kind of perks can I give in this situation? Thank you

This is a bit of a ranty post, I am so so sick of people messaging me both on the Indiegogo page and my business pages on facebook etc claiming to be able to help me with my campaign if I pay xyz, I explain politely every time that if I could afford to promote I would not need the campaign in the first place, after the 100th message from the same people I am getting really annoyed. How can I stop them?

A horror movie!
Hey everyone, I have opened up an indiegogo campaign for a new horror movie! Here's a small summary "8 years ago, a video recorded by a now popular influencer helped solve a murder case that took place within his neighborhood. After hearing rumors of the victims spirit wandering his previous residence, he plans to frequent his old home in hopes of seeking answers from this spirit to revive his declining channel. Along with his friends, they wander his old home to capture footage of the spirit. However, things take a turn when they unexpectedly run into the spirit of someone from their past."
Ik it sounds a little generic but the characters are what make it special. This will be my second short film and I am looking to raise some money for it, due to it being a much bigger project than usual! I'd love if anyone could spread the word or even donate!
