I’m warning you all for the Tents

My review for Camp EDC 2024. Let me tell you something, the tents are awful and even after the reflective tarp and bringing a 4ft rotating fan it wasn’t enough. The food is very expensive so it’s best to bring your own. I spent like $9 for a pop tart. The showers are absolutely disgusting and someone pooped in the shower last time. Yes there will be people doing the nasty next to you. The drinking water they provide is recycled from the shower water. My skin took a beating (if you care about your skin, bring your own water for your face!) and drinking the water hurt my throat. It’s ROUGH. I’ve deployed to Afghanistan for 1.5 years and I had better conditions. The sun is brutal and if you’re not used to it you will learn what it’s like to be in the devils armpit. The price IS NOT WORTH the amenities. You are paying for the convience, so if you are getting the tents be sure to cough up the extra money that you would spend on a hotel to improve your quality stay. But once inside EDC it’s amazing, but you’re spending the majority of your day at Camp EDC.

Camping Essentials

Hi everyone!

I've looked up some essentials and especially here on Reddit. Obviously bathroom stuff, fans, sleeping stuff, cooler, etc etc etc.

I've only gone camping once and I thought I was prepared but absolutely was not :( I saw people with canopies, and tarps, and a bunch of other random stuff.

So far on my list of other things to bring is a misting fan (a big one that everyone in my group can use), an electric grill/griddle (just something to cook on), solar batteries (i have a small one and a large one), sleeping mats, zip ties, a tarp, tarp poles (not sure but just something to hold up the tarp), possibly a full sized mirror.... What else could I bring?

Also, i have two girls in my group (including myself) so if the girlies have any recs too!

RV Power Add On

First time renting an RV. Realized I forgot to buy the power add on.

Is it needed? I can't find a resale market anywhere.

Looking to fill up RV

Hey guys so me and my family rented out an RV for EDC but we would like to try and fill it up. We want to bring the cost down for everyone if possible. So if you already bought a ticket but don't know where you plan on staying yet please DM me. We only have 1 spot available and preferably female. I could show you proof that we bought the RV already. I would also like to text on instragram and face time so that we both know we are real people and that this is not a scam.

Availability of VIP Tickets (2), Camp EDC RV pass, and Power Hook up

I just found out I won't be able to get approved for that Thursday to Monday for EDC Week. Who wants them? PM me.

Cruise America Black Friday

It is definitely way too late to get anything decent in LV, but this would be useful if planning on picking something up in AZ/CA/UT

Camping Advice for Flyers

I camped years ago at a smaller festival I could drive to, but we're flying in for this one and trying to figure out details. I think our plan is to pack 1 bag of gear and 1 bag of clothes, toiletries, etc each and then hit up a Walmart once we land for groceries and stuff not work checking twice. Has anyone done this? Any advice on what we could skip and what is a must have with limited space? Is it better to go right from the airport to the speedway to check in and get a tent then uber out to Walmart or stop at Walmart first so we don't have to leave once we're in? Do people leave unwanted gear behind if they don't want to travel with it? Any other advice is welcome!

*edit: there's 2 of us in a desert rose tent*

EDCLV 2025 Question/ Advice welcome please

Hey everyone! This will be my first EDC and I'll be joining my girlfriends RV group. We're trying to figure out the logistics of everything currently.

Currently we're planning on her and some others in the group getting the RV and picking out the spot. However, they're all 700+ miles away so they're going to fly in and meet up. I'm about 200 miles away.

I was thinking about driving and bringing a bunch of camping stuff from home like chairs, a table, bean bag, etc in my jeep. However, I know I can't park my car by the RV. I was thinking if I just buy an extra camping pass for my car, I could leave my car and carry all the stuff over to the RV. Would that be allowed? Has anyone else tried something similar?

First timer - EDC LV

I have a few questions regarding camping at EDC since it is my first time. The first one being if I buy one moon glow camping ticket, is that valid for 4 people? or do all 4 people need to have a camping ticket to enter the campgrounds. Second would you recommend that over RV camping and how much different would the experience be RV camping opposed to tent camping.

Looking for group to camp EDC with!

As the title suggests, I'm a baby raver going solo to EDC! I've been to two EDM festivals, and one small local bar rave. I want to get the FULL EDC experience, including the camp experience! But of course, it's so expensive! So I was wondering if anyone else going solo or with a small group might want to go together? Split the costs? I am comfortable sharing my IG if interested so we can get to know each other before the festival, to see if we are a good vibe together!

A little bit about me in case it matters to you:

I'm 22 male (will be 23 when festival comes)
I am party favor friendly! I don't drink often (not because I'm an angry drunk or anything, I'm just such a light weight lol!) I will probably have a few drinks at EDC though! So alcohol friendly as well
As mentioned before, I am a baby raver, but I intend to go big with EDC! Full outfit and all
I'm not quite too sure what else to put, so if you're interested, just lmk and I'll DM you, we can exchange instagrams if you're comfortable with that, or we can stay in touch on reddit. Just whatever works! Hoping this pans out, because I'm not trying to dish out nearly 2k for an overheated tent haha, but I will do it solo if need to!

EDIT: STILL LOOKING! I'll post here if I'm no longer looking!

EDIT: 3/4!!!

Covering the pods

This is my first EDC and it doesn't take long to find the complaints about the heat inside the tents.

I've read several posts with tips as to how to cool the pods but just wanted to clarify one thing. A lot of people have said to get reflective tarps however some posts i have seen have said insomniac don't allow you to cover your actual pod and it is just to create shade with your neighbors. Other posts have said its fine.

Can anyone clarify if I can just straight up cover my pod with tarps as that was the plan I was running with? Thanks!

Do they announce when camp sells out ?

Long story short there is a little issue with our group so we haven’t got our camp passes yet.

I was wondering if they announce “Camp is 90% sold out” or anything like that. And if not. What time do passes usually sell out ? Wanna make sure for planning reasons especially since holidays is around the corner

Undercover 🐷

I was just curious, I figured there’d be undercovers at the festival but would there be at the camp too?

In/out of Camp EDC?

So, I understand, you can’t drive in and out with either your main vehicle, or even if you add an additional vehicle to your camp. So, are you literally just stranded there all day, unless you get an Uber? Would it be an option for someone to drive a separate car and park in the general parking? And then just use that car to go in and out?

VIP ticket purchased

I bought VIP tickets for the upcoming event. Did this because general admission was sold out by the time I looked for tickets.

My question is, 'what benefits will we have from the VIP ticket RV campers?' What benefits are there for VIP tickets in other areas of the festival?

Thanks for your responses in advance!

RV parking spot size

Does anyone know the approximate width of the RV parking spots at camp? I know the length we need to fit into is 45ft. and from pictures, they pack us in a bit tight. We have a slideout, but not sure how far we will be able to have it stick out vs leaving room for our stairs when we park. Thanks!

Can I still winterize my truck camper without functioning electricity?

The electrical stopped working on my truck camper Shasta. If I plug it up nothing happens. Since I am leaving the country soon, I decided to have it fixed when I get back. However before putting it in storage I would like to winterize it. Normally I would run the sink to empty the water tank, but that doesn't work.

First question: Can I empty the fresh water tank just by opening that cap by the hot water heater? Will that drain all the water? If not what should I do?

Second question: How can I put in anti freeze?

Towing a small trailer

Hi, I am trying to find out what would not break the rules for towing. If I were to tow a teardrop trailer with a/c would I be able to bring it in? The rules say that it needs to be class a, b, or c or a 5th wheel but nothing about smaller trailers, teardrop or travel trailers. Are these not allowed? thanks!

To camp or hotel?

After reading through this channel and others about EDC I am now reconsidering camping. This is filled with mostly horror stories but is that because that is what the internet is for? Or is it really that bad? I did an RV at Elements and camped twice at Tomorrowland - I know this won’t be like Tomorrowland but will camping be as bad as it was at Elements? I am a first time EDC Vegas goer.

First EDC! Wondering about RV searches

How thoroughly do they actually search the RVs?!? Like I know they do an extensive search when you’re coming into the festival when not camping but is it as in depth?!? Or can I expect to have few problems bringing in stuff?

a moon glow solo camper

Heller!! I’m agent m, male, 23, lol (don’t feel like give out my name yet) ((please ignore the username)) lmao-

Okay! So I indeed purchased the camping for 4 when it was released. lol- but I thought I was going with others & now I’m probably going alone.

I’m “researching” almost everything about others experiences and I should and shouldn’t bring.

I just wanna know if you can tell me, how do I know where I’m placed or if it’s first come first serve- also how would I know who I’m neighbors with? Or is that just the same question?

How would one go safely about inviting others to camp with you but don’t know anything about them? Do you spend time before the festival or f- it? Does security check your car or your tents? I would assume but just to double fu— checking, can I bring 🍃 💨… and my flower vase? 😉

So I was thinking demonic knee high boots but seeing the heat issue, I am so changing that idea-

Lastly: Aquarius, 23 will be 24 @ said time of festival. Will over pack and over bring any other recommendations? Maybe I’m forgetting something? Can I bring a blender?

Tips for a newbie

Hi everyone! This is my boyfriend, and my first time coming to Camp EDC. From what I am reading it sounds like it is going to be a one and done thing for us. 😅

Either way, do any of you have any suggestions? I have never camped at a festival so I am not sure what to bring or anything. I know to bring some good locks because shit gets stolen and that’s about it 😬

I would really appreciate any advice you guys have! Thank you 🙏🏼 🫶🏼
