Hi all headliners I am from Korea this is my first time to America and EDC. I will travel around Mexico as well after Edc. a lot of questions to ask..
-what is the reason to choose VIP? for safety? just looked through all threads but couldn't find the reason just international ppl bought VIP
-is it safe to stay at the front? I prefer to stay at fence because of sight.
When I select USA for delivery country, I get the following error:
Something unexpected happened with your order! We are very sorry.
Please check your Ticketmaster account to verify that your order was completed successfully. If your order appears in your Ticketmaster account, everything is fine and you don't need to take any further action. If your order does not appear in your Ticketmaster account, unfortunately it was not completed successfully and you will need to try again. We appreciate your understanding.
but if I select Mexico, it works but I don't have a billing address in Mexico and I can't enter in my US address
Rumors say line up is out Monday! Who are you all expecting on it 👀 Personally last year they got down with the trance tech house talent 🥳
What's the transportation situation like leaving EDCMexico festival? What's the best and safest way to leave each day? Open to recommendations, cautions, best practices etc.
How are those that are 420 friendly going to do it during your trip out there? Any plans outside of EDC? Getting a group to drink together would be nice.
EDC is iconic for their boxes with fun goodies and wristband. Does edc Mexico offer the wristband and box? The ‘ticket’ part was a bit confusing because it said the ticket was on Ticketmaster but somethings at office to pick up??
Best part of festivals is to get the wristband haha
listo todo para el edc, abonos, transporte y airbnb para los tres días ahora solo a esperar
I go to Mexico regularly, mainly Baja and Jalisco. I want to explore as much of CDMX as possible. Does EDCMX have pre parties and afters? If not, what areas do y’all recommend to go hang out at?
Just finished EDCO and it was COMPLETELY and UTTERLY oversold for the area they had. Like uncomfortably, unenjoyably, dangerously oversold. I had VIP bands and the VIP areas were really no better than GA in Kinetic and Circuit for any of the headliners. If I go back to EDCO in the future it'll be to hang at Stereo Bloom and Neon Garden and avoid the big two. However, I was wondering how the crowd density was in EDCM in case I want to go and be able to visit all of the stages instead of having to go to smaller ones for it to be enjoyable. Anyone been to both (or EDCLV) who might be able to compare?
When will they announce the lineup for EDC Mexico? I’ve been trying to go for a long time. Now I’m thinking I should definitely go in 2025 but it also depends on the lineup.
My top DJs I wanna see are Deorro, Hardwell, R3HAB, Timmy Trumpet, Alok, Kai Wachi, and Martín Garrix.
Who else you guys wanna see??
Hi all, I am going to my first EDC Mexico next year with about 15 people. I’ve read that transportation can be a pain, so does anyone have any recommendations for getting to & from the festival site?
I’ve seen a YouTube vid about a group that rented a private van. Does anyone have any recommendations for that?
I’m a dude and I’ll be going solo to EDC Mexico. It’s my first international rave, but I’ve been going to festivals for years. I’ll be traveling from Southern California. I’ve been to Mexico City about a dozen times so I’m somewhat familiar with the city and know areas that are safer and which areas to avoid. I’m looking to see if anyone wants to go together or even link up there. Preferably a female, I just get along with women better. We can exchange IG and get to know each other before then. I have no problem paying for your VIP aka Comfort pass for all 3 days and paying for the hotel. You just gotta pay for the plane ticket. Message me and we can connect.
I'm looking to connect with other ravers going to EDC Mexico in Feb !! if your attending the festival you can add me on IG: adrianaroque123 I'm traveling from Canada and would like to connect :) xo
Hi, fam!
I'm your local raver and here are some tips that hopefully come in handy if it's your first time (or not):
The area around the festival isn't the safest, so try to get a hotel or airbnb in the next areas: Roma, Condesa, Coyoacán, Polanco, Narvarte, Reforma, Santa Fe (this one's farther, but really nice and fancy). These are all nice areas in centric locations, with good security and lots to do around.
For transportation to/from the festival, Uber is your best bet. We have another app called Didi and it tends to be a couple bucks cheaper, but longer wait times. Both work fine. Uber will charge you around 400, Didi around 200-350 (mxn).
Taxis are not really trustworthy and will try to scam you the moment they see you're foreign. If you really wanna get out of there fast and want to get a taxi, they'll charge you anything from 700 to 1,800 to get u out of there. Don't be afraid to bargain with them as they might lower the cost.
Once the festival ends it is a pain in the arse to get an uber/didi, so I recommend that you wait it out a bit. There's a lot of street food once you exit the venue (really good and cheap), so you can get something to eat while you wait for the crowd to disperse (otherwise it might take a good 1-2hrs to get a ride). They only take cash, so make sure you have some. 250 pesos should cover a person just fine.
Sometimes groups form and start walking away, you can join them but be careful and don't wander too far out or you may get mugged, try to stay with as many people as u can with your belongings always handy.
Most people are all about that PLUR and many know english, so don't be afraid to start a conversation 😎 If we see you trying to speak spanish (even if poorly) it will be highly appreciated by us to see you do the effort, so try learning a bit of the basics. It will help u even for restaurants and things outside of edc.
Be really careful going into big crowds at stages. Many people go exclusively to pickpocket others and they're sneaky af here, so always have your things handy. Specially your phone. A fanny pack to your chest will be your bff.
You won't have phone service inside the festival, but there are some places with free wifi. Usually the marketing stands (vivaaerobus, takis, Pepsi's silent disco, etc.)
System is cashless. They'll give you a bracelet that you can recharge and if you don't use it all, you can have it reinbursed around a week or two after the event. You can only charge it in the event, there's no pre-charge. Avoid scams.
Another thing, this year they gave 1 different bracelet each day, each with it's own cashless chip, so be careful with which one you recharge or you might end up with as many fest bracelets as kandi.
Download the insomniac app so you can keep track of the dj's u wanna see. It works offline too, just make sure to heart the artists u wanna see and your schedule will be available. The full lineup is usually revealed by the end of November.
Vaping and any kind of smoking are forbidden and if the security/police sees you smoking, they'll take you for a full inspection and take any forbidden thing you may have, so be careful. Just smoke while in crowds in stages, not in common areas. Also, remember weed isn't legal here, so be careful with that in general.
Friday and Saturday are more chill, but on Sunday it's always full of cops just trying to see who's let their guard down so they can catch u smoking or doing not so legal things, so beware.
If you're into kandi (wink wink) make sure to bring your own test strips and narcan as they're not really accessible around here. Safety first, be responsible.
Totems are allowed as long as the stick is not metal, wood or pretty much anything solid that could be used as a weapon. They have the totem guideline in the website, so check it out if you're planning on bringing one.
During the day it's not as hot (around 27°), but due to the altitude of the city the sunburn can be a bitch, so don't forget to put enough sunscreen. At night the temperature really goes down (around 5°/10°), so a light jacket might be a life-saver. If you don't wanna carry it around, they have lockers that are 700 for the whole weekend and they're average high-school size, so u can fit quite a bit.
Info from this year (in mxn):
Beer: 180
Drinks: 250-450
Food: 150-350
Water: 60 (they also have water fountains throughout so you can refill for free, but on Sunday it always runs out around 7, so take precautions).
Event cup: 30
They also allow you to enter with your own bottle/mug as long as they're not made out of solid materials like metal.
If you want some souvenirs but don't wanna spend as much in the official store, there's a lot of vendors outside of the venue where you can get pretty much anything u like for a cheaper price. Can't say the quality will be the same, but if you look around u might find something that catches your eye.
Hopefully this will help you!
I hope you all have an awesome time, keep that PLURR going, remember to say "excuse me" when going into a crowd and hmu if you see me or need any recommendation🤙🏻
Can't wait to see y'all there!
When does the lineup for 2025 come out?
I’m currently trying to buy from USA and it gives me an error at checkout for some reason. What did yall do to by pass this? Do you need a particular or something?Any info would be immensely appreciated
Hello any tips or suggestions for what to do while in Mexico City. I'm staying for about a week and close to the venue. Would love ideas on what to do besides just EDCMX25
Do you guys know if they'll be any pop-ups or events before and after the event EDCMX25?
The more I get immersed into the rave culture the more I start to realize the difference between American ravers and foreign ravers. European more specifically. Mexico will actually be my first edc and I've only done ultra in the past. Super excited to go but just wondering how I should prepare myself for the crowd in terms of vibes and energy and the fits and trinkets. Is it just a mix of people? How crazy can a gay dude get lol
This is probably a really dumb question but at the Mexican Ticketmaster payment screen it seems to only allow a Mexican specific address for the billing address. How are those based in the states bypassing this and able to purchase tickets? Thanks in advance!
I love EDCLV but I'm thinking about MX or Orlando for next year where are the best vibes :)
Hey looking for any gay or bi dudes that are going to EDC 2025. I am going g alone and I would love to make friends or make a group to hang with. 34, Mexican dude average face. Leave your snap or insta? Add me dougchops
