https://www.dhakatribune.com/bangladesh/364627/severe-winter-expected-temperatures-may-drop-to
Bangladesh is expected to experience a severe cold wave this winter, with temperatures possibly dipping to as low as 4°C, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
In a long-term forecast released on Saturday, the Meteorological Department indicated that between this month and January, Bangladesh could experience mild (8-10°C) to moderate (6-8°C) cold waves.
Additionally, two to three severe cold spells are likely to affect the northwest, northeast, and central regions, with temperatures potentially dropping to 4-6°C in these areas.
The forecast also warns of moderate to dense fog in the northern, north-western, central, and river basin regions from late night until morning.
This dense fog may reduce the temperature difference between day and night, enhancing the chill factor and increasing the sensation of cold.

What are the chances of admission and scholarships in undergrad?
I'm in Bangladesh visiting a friend and I have gotten to hear a lot about the country from him. I heard that you guys had a second revolution and got rid of a dictator. Congratulations on that, and I'm hoping all the best for your country.
However, I've noticed that your politics are so different. I mean, if someone is running for the presidential role, why aren't they out and about in the country? Why is it that a bunch of people walk around the neighborhood screaming, which apparently is chanting for votes? It's just weird how none of the people who will be standing up to be the president, mayor, or whatever aren't even out there doing the work or telling their people what improvements they will bring to the country. As far as I can tell it's mostly just their supporters going about the street holding a picture and a name of the person they support.
So my question is how do you guys know who to vote for if you have no information about them?
Just putting it out there I meant no offence if it sounded so, it's just been 2 weeks here and I'm just curious.
It’s been three months since Dr. Yunus stepped into the role of Chief Advisor in Bangladesh’s interim government, marking a pivotal moment for the nation. What are your expectations for this transitional government? Where do you see opportunities and potential challenges, and in which areas should their focus be sharpened?
As we evaluate the pros and cons of this leadership, it’s crucial to consider not only the internal reforms but also the dynamics with political parties, whose cooperation—or resistance—could influence the road ahead.
Share your insights and perspectives in the comments. Where do you think this government should prioritize its efforts? And how do you think the relationships with various political entities are evolving under this new administration?
Let’s explore what this interim phase might mean for the future of Bangladesh.

After installing akash it turns out to be real bad with very less channels and always having some issues with the channels. What's the alternative? What can be done? It has very less sports channels and full of useless channels which we barely watch.
I am seeing few people talk about Trump and his effects on Bangladesh
Does he have a plan on intervening in our businesses or trades or anything like that?
USA itself never cared about Bangladesh, even after our huge revolution, We are still nowhere near mentioned in news about this yet still some people are caring about US election so much?!?!

Hello Reddit,
I'm planning to buy a ThinkPad T480, and I’ve found some great options on eBay priced around 70% less than usual, with a 30-day replacement warranty. However, eBay doesn’t directly support shipping to Bangladesh.
Does anyone know of a trusted platform or service that could help me purchase it from eBay and ship it over to Bangladesh at a reasonable cost? I’m hoping to avoid super high fees or hidden charges.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Hello Reddit,
I’m planning to pursue my CSE undergrad and am currently weighing my options between DIU (Daffodil International University) and NSU (North South University). I know that Brac University would be an ideal choice for me, but due to personal reasons, it’s not an option right now.
My Decision Factors:
I'm considering multiple factors, like faculty expertise, student motivation & innovation culture, research opportunities, industry connections, advance curriculum, student exchange programs, support for competitive programming, and a balanced credit system that allows time for extracurriculars. Here’s how I see each option:
DIU: I’m drawn to DIU because of its advanced labs, large campus, more relaxed CGPA structure, and the ample time and support for extracurriculars. They also seem to have a good exchange program and strong campus facilities. However, I'm concerned that DIU may lag in faculty expertise, and the surrounding student quality, credit structure and not a good curriculum for someone who want to be at the cutting eage could be drawbacks.
NSU: NSU, on the other hand, seems to excel in faculty expertise, student quality, and close-knit credit systems, which are crucial for solid academics. But I’ve heard that NSU places more focus on BBA programs over CSE, and the environment may be more demanding, with limited time and culture for extracurriculars, especially competitive programming.
What I’m Seeking:
Any insights from current or past students about how DIU and NSU compare in terms of fostering CSE talent, competitive programming, career services, research support, and the overall community?
Thanks for any guidance you can provide!
My parents are trying to admit me into residential school at class 9. For personal reasons I don't want to go and honestly it'll be the end of me. How do I make sure they decline my application? What're the acceptance rates? I'm applying maybe online on November 12th I'm not sure. Pls someone help
I recently had to shift to Rajshahi as I got admission in RUET. Everyone around me seems nerdy and always busy with their studies (I get the appeal of studying, but people needs to have fun too). That's why I am reaching out here to see if I can find someone who matches my vibe. Also suggest good places to visit around here. (Literally typing it from my class)
The more I learn about humanity, I feel depressed with the cruelty! The more I understand politics, I loose the hope for a better future! The more I become aware of the global issues, the more it feels like we are running full speed towards a catastrophe (economic or environmental or warfare).
On a personal note, I think not being knowledgeable is a blessing which my ancestors (at least my grandparents) had, and I (maybe all of us) lost the ability to being content with my current situation.
This is messed up, people wish to live in a interesting time, I think living in an interesting time is a curse. I want to live in a event less time, lead a mundane life, and die a boring death!
How do you feel about your life?
(Sorry for being philosophical, it’s might be a bit out of touch with your own issues)!

Fascist Sheikh Hasina advised a special program on November 10, 2024.
Those attending should bring an A4-sized printed color photo of Donald Trump to show congratulatory support from Bangladesh for his election victory.
Bring mobile phones with cameras to capture videos if anyone is harassed or detained, especially with Trump's photo in hand. This will show that people gathering to congratulate Trump are being obstructed by the illegal Yunus government, and the footage will spread worldwide.
International media will cover everything, showcasing the event through videos.
There will be no stage on November 10; it will be a public gathering and a march.
Microphones on rickshaws and handheld mics will be available.
No party banners or festoons are allowed. Everyone should come as ordinary people.
The use of photos of top leaders or any leader is strictly prohibited.
A significant presence of women would be beneficial.
Arrive early and stay in mosques around Baitul Mukarram.
Since this is our first program since August 5, let us come together as one, forgetting all differences, and gather by the thousands.
Once we overcome our fear, we will surely stand strong again, insha’Allah.
