This is the real problem. I want to use metro apps, but with the all methods it installing but i cant open it, because when im opening the app, it says that i need to go to microsoft store which is dead..

forgot to mention that im on windows 8.1 pro

What i have tried:

1. Installing with powershell (basically)
2. Repacking appx and generating certificates
3. Turning off sppsvc and enabling sideloading
4. Installing apps not from microsoft store (and they were broken too, different error that says like reinstall program and etc...)

I've lost any hope to install it myself so im writing it here. Help me please!

As the title says, I'm trying to run Photoshop 2020 on my Windows 8.1 laptop, however the installer throws an error about the OS being unsupported (It supports Win7 SP1 and Win10). Is there any way to bypass this and install it anyways? Or would I need to downgrade Photoshop?

Recently i installed Windows 11 on my pc, but its so slow thats its almost unsable, Now i want to reinstall my previous OS with the key i bought for 11 (No it isnt used)

Weather: can still get location from nearby area (still shows sample data), had maps working on last version

News: search and topics are working, but that's just about it

Money: only converters work

Sports: completely dead (2021)

Food & Drink: some features like shopping list, meal planner and collections work

Health & Fitness: the diet tracker, cardio tracker, symptom checker and others work

Travel: nothing is shown (no sample data, nothing)

Useful if you want to have:

1. 8.0 apps in 8.1
2. 8.0 and/or 8.1 apps in Win 10/11
3. If you uninstalled a stock metro app and want to reinstall it

I couldn't get the Camera, Photos or OneDrive apps from 8.1, and the Settings or Store apps from 8.1 and 8.0 due to them being core Metro apps (located in the "Windows" folder instead of the "WindowsApps" folder) and would crash in Win 10/11.

I have noticed that lots of people on this subreddit have been asking about a Windows 8.1 ISO download link (due to the fact that archive is still read only as of this post), i have the English (United States) version backed up on google drive (x64: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bPtZkSKXt1jcS5wOIf9irb5fyDz0MkWC/view?usp=drive_link) (x86: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wLmcX6jkjMKa5CioE5IqGj494cAjmgml/view?usp=drive_link) these ISOs were not modified, they were directly downloaded from microsoft before the official download page was shut down.

This could be useful for people who are looking for a temporary solution to download an ISO for Windows 8.1 while Internet Archive's revive.

Now unfortunately i dont have other languages like French, Spanish etc...

SO I got a clean install of windows 8 on my computer it had drivers for it but when it finished setup and asked for my personalization setings I do it and click next then... nothing my mouse moves the keyboard cursor is still blinking in the text box I hover over it it says I can type but when I do nothing happens not even the button responds I just have to shut down and try again I've tryed it 3 times not and same result what do I do?

I am using a Toshiba Windows 8.1 tablet build 9600. I got it used, but factory reset it all. I have an issue where it says no networks were found under the networks. I am almost certain it won't connect to any other networks because I've connected my hotspot from my phone but had no luck. I don't know if I'm missing drivers or what the problem is.

So ii have a problem installing the window 8.1 and yes I'm not that of an idiot i reinstalled os like 200+ times. It says it's not UEFI bla bla bla i do a MBR it doesn't work at all. So yes I don't have the good iso files does anybody have them? Or someone that can make me understand what tha hel* is this thing i tried liek every tutorial but same thing, ohh and i tried it on my main pc as well same shit. It says reform partition in Rufus in MBR or set bios in UEFI boot only i did both and is well nothing is going on. I tried 3 usb flash. I tried removing ram other hard drives same shi* so at this point ngl that iso that i have is a bugged one or corrupt. I tried like 10 iso files actually all the websites that i found and well same thing. 1 sometimes it doesn't do anything or 2 it says change rufus in MBR or bios settings. Is there any other thing that i need to install that shi* i installed windows 10,11 without any problems i installed windows 7,xp without probablem but i had the iso from Microsoft and i knew it will work but now i only have some questionable websites that have viruses and shi*. So please some help your brother understand this bug or whatever this is or give me the correct iso files. Windows 8.1 pro version 32bit(cpu doesn't work on 64bit). It's my old antique pc which i want it to make it work again dual butting windows and make an server because why not 😅. I think both OS tooks their app data seperetly soo when I open the app it is first time for other system.

Hello everyone Recently I bought a Asus Aspire One I put an SSD an it has 2gig ram(I am planning to get 8 gig).It mostly supporting windows 10 but windows taxing too much CPU power. I also have another netbook with win8.1 and it works very well with 4 gig ram. I am planning to change back to win8.1 but some browsers stopped the support. What you guys recommend me to survive with 8.1

I have an old Dell Laptop with me (probably runs Windows 8) and today I've been getting the above issue after restarting it. I followed the advice in this link, namely hitting F2 and going to the Boot menu, then putting "Windows Boot Manager" on top. But not only does my "Windows Boot Manager" have a bunch of numbers and letters at the end, the process doesn't work! I've tried adjusting other options too but nothing. I hope I can get some help ASAP with this.

UPDATE: Fixed! I deselected the Boot Manager and the IPv4 and IPv6 options. That gave me a "no bootable devices" found error. Then I reenabled all three and that did the trick.

I got an Windows 8 enterprise iso and the UTM runs the OS to the boot screen where it seems to be infinitely loading never to proceed to the next step.
