It seems i am banned in Google. When i searched for desktop widgets I found either stand-alone apps or widgets that show just the current date and month.
bonus cudo if said widget can display 12 month side by side
I bought the Microsoft Personal subscription just few months ago and downloaded the defender app for using VPN etc. but after like 2 months the VPN option that was togglable just disappeared so I uninstalled the app and tried to reinstall it but since then I have not been able to install it since it shows this error 0x80073CFB, I even tried to connect with a microsoft support but they said I have the windows security app which is same as the defender so "I"can not install the defender app" but I have installed once before and have used all of its function so why is it that I can't do it again
Specifically using Samsung if it makes a difference. On the phone it seems I have to do one at a time. Thank you!
I've used this cli app called scrcpy that can record Android screen in a PC and that's very helpful when recording heavy android games.
Now what I'm trying to find is an app that can record PC screen in android because I don't want to overburden my laptop. My laptop is a potato. :(
So I use FF from time to time and I was wondering what the difference between the red (up) arrows and the green (down) arrows are /mean? TIA
I work as a translator and make scripts of interviews. Is there any apps with keyboards that can help to type faster?
Hey guys!
I'd like to present you an app I wrote when I felt absolutely crushed from sitting at my desk for too long. I'm a software developer and my sedentary lifestyle was taking its toll on my body.
I wrote this app as a tool to get me to get up every few minutes and go for a walk. But over time, the app gained other features, such as an attention reset.
I hope you find it as useful as I did. The app is free.
Feel free to take a look and let me know what you think.
You can find it here: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9NRTGL0JZD01

Can anybody suggest a Windows app to normalise and remove any silence at the beginning and end of mp3's? Something that is fairly efficient / bulk, and maintains metadata.
i want it so when my phone has a notification i get a notification on my pc as well. i can't get it to work. the phone link app on windows shows all the notifications in my phone when i manually open the up open, but i want to get a notification on pc while i'm gaming or stuff.
i get notification for other stuff while on the pc like skype or firefox. i've tried all the obvious like turn on notification, let notification pass even if i'm on do not disturb etc. i don't know why it's not doing what i want. unless phone link just can't do this function?
Im not a tech person, but I have two computers connected at home, and I have been using Anydesk for the last month, now its asking a 20€ monthly to keep using it. Is there any similar and free app like Anydesk.?
Thanks
Hey y’all, looking for a suggestion!
I’m downloading a ton of files from Dropbox (around 250tb) to a server, and I’m wondering if there’s a program that could scan all the files on Dropbox and compare to the files on the server to make sure nothing is missing/corrupted.
Does anyone know of any program that might do that? Thanks in advance!

Hi all. I’m looking for an app that I can use in my Surface at work, to basically read and annotate. I’ve been using for a long time PDF expert in my iPad, but I can’t find a similar app for Windows 11.
Already discarded the more generalists and cluttered ones like Acrobat and Foxit Phantom PDF. Also tried UPDF, LightPDF, PDF X, PDF Reader Pro, Xodo, PDF Jack… the only one so far so good is one called PDF Annotator (but also cluttered, too many options).
What I’m looking for is stability, ability to quickly change from highlighting, underlining and handwriting tools, and change colors, and a smooth and uninterrupted writing experience with the surface pen.
Many thanks in advance!
Hey everyone! 👋
I posted about Holdem for Windows a couple of days ago, and a few people showed interest in the app. Thanks for checking it out!
For those who missed it, Holdem is a simple tool inspired by Dropover for Mac. It lets you hold files in a small floating window by shaking your mouse to bring it up. You can drag and drop files into the window and move them wherever you need.
I’ve made it easier to install, and I’m open to any feature suggestions you might have!
Check it out on GitHub: Holdem

!..SOLVED..!
So i had this MicrosoftStore/Windows app installed on my PC, but i had it formatted, and totally forgot about it.
So i mainly remember that it was a pretty decent app with many reviews, not one of those with 0 downloads but still 5 stars, it had the icon of a black wolf and it used to do something text related, like whenever you highlighted some text, it opened a small horizontal menu with many options. Kinda of a clipboard i guess.
Unfortunately that's all i remember, i hope they didn't chnage the icon xD

Hey everyone! I built a simple app called Holdem for Windows, inspired by Dropover for Mac. It lets you hold files in a small floating window by shaking your mouse to bring up a window near your cursor. You can drag and drop files into it and then drag them out to your desired destination.
The project is up on GitHub, and you can easily build the app yourself. If there's enough interest, I'll set up GitHub builds to share binaries soon! 🚀

Hi, I was buying coffee the other day at Starbucks, and I saw someone have an app open on their laptop. The app had a white star logo/icon on their task bar. This was a windows machine. Can someone please help me identify it? the guy got super weird and close the app when he saw I was looking over his shoulder. I'm really interested because I'm a computer scientist my self, and I have never seen anything like it. Thank you.

As an English teacher, I know that that 750M+ people struggle with English at work. They're stuck in meetings, barely getting by.
Traditional methods don't work - no time, no habits stick.
So I built an AI that improves your English during work calls. You just show up.
Fluento improves your English DURING work meetings.
It listens to every conversation, analyses your speech, and gives detailed feedback directly to your screen - fluency, proficiency, grammar, vocabulary, confidence, sentiment, clarity, you name it, but wait -
Then it challenges you to level up in your next meetings
And after each call, Fluento shows you exactly what to improve.
Fluento works with any business platform - Zoom, Google Meet, MS Teams, you name it. It's like having a language tutor in your pocket 24/7, but one that understands the business world.
I want you to supercharge your English while you work. I want you to get that TOEFL or IELTS score. Get that job or just come across as the most confident positive person in the team.
You can download it on the Microsoft App Store :)
Would love some feedback. Launching on Producthunt soon :)
It's free to cast from your PC to your TV.
