In the title. Ex employee here.
All facts so no defamation here; (they like to say people are doing that when they expose them. Then try and go after them.)
Not there a month even and witnessed more mess ups than in over 10 years of supercars and European high performance auto work.
If they don’t double check the person touching your car? They could forget stuff, watched that happen in the first month too. And they tried to say anyone but that employee who actually laid eyes on your car and touched it was responsible. In the real world that one worker gets fired. But these people are half native half Alberta’s finest and completely under educated and unhinged.
Take it to Canadian tire if you’re gonna go here. They are just absolutely horrible. In the worst way.
Also not a single licensed tech there. So their American based warranty is useless for you they will just fight you and f you over.
Ps. Owner lying about a self run Buisiness. She’s a franchise paid in by her family into an American brand. Owners son is a literal spoiled brat who has never actually worked a day in his life or had an issue. Kid sits on his phone when everyone else is working.
Talks like a real life game of valorant.
Save yourself the rip off. They wanna flush and swap fluids because they wanna make money out of you.
If you treat your car properly you don’t need any of this garbage they sell either.
Avoid -0.5/100
2/2 for bad opportunities out here. Idk maybe I’m bad at picking them.
🎶 Hey everyone! 🎶
I’m a musician and website developer based in Victoria. I’m looking to collaborate on some awesome music-related website projects. Whether you’re a solo artist, in a band, or running a music-related business (private studio, music store, etc.), I’d love to help you create a website that reflects your sound and vision.
If you have an idea or project that fits this, I'll offer you a "friends and family" discount. I'm interested in building a portfolio of work, so I want a low barrier for people in creative communities, especially in financial times like now. If you're interested, I would love to chat with you!
Hi there I am a 20 year old looking to break into the Graphic Design industry, I am looking to work with real clients free of charge as I need work to add to my portfolio.

Local Buisiness to avoid aswell as danger to society
Came to Vancouver island this month. Ended up working with a kid who really shouldn’t even be outside if you ask me.
Bogdan
Son of the owners of Cowichan Right Rim repair.
Guy is a literal crack head.
Drives drunk and high with no insurance everywhere on multiple occasions.
In the one week I worked with him I not only had to refinish recut and redo erything he touched on his own job site. But also watched him almost crash twice and drove drunk and high every single day.
Got into a crash drunk in a parking lot with no insurance and ended up fraudulently claiming insurance late along with the other driver who was apparently ALSO drunk and without insurance.
For 5 days straight of driving with and behind him I watched him consistently speed through the 1 between mill bay, Duncan and Victoria while under the influence.
Poor quality of work.
Doesn’t pay employees, atleast not on time. Heard it took him 2 months to pay someone else who worked for him and he also doesn’t pay on time and asks for constant advances from clients on the job site.
Smoking whole cartons of cigarettes on the job site. I can go on with that.
1 employee working with him living on him property is a massively raging alcoholic. Videos of him inside/underneath the rental property destroying it in a drunken rage included. While I hold my traumatized 14 week old kitten in the living area. Left the same night. And quit as that was the last straw for me.
still owes me money. But to be quite honest it’s worth not ever dealing with the literal danger to society or being associated with it.
Avoid like the plague unless you want your house ruined. And to deal with people like this.
Just a PSA, company is changing names constantly because people like this right? But last I know of cause I helped coined it was “Island Re-Fresh”
If you see a green VW Passat TDI with a smashed up rear bumper and falling off front bumper rolling coal down the road full to the brim of tools with ladders on top? Get out the way and report whatever plate he’s put on it at that point to the rcmp. I’ve already sent what I have to them just to create a profile.
People like this are dangers to this small community and to anyone on or off the road.
As a morally conscious person I cannot not make this known. Just doing my due diligence as a member of society. Someone who consistently makes choices that endanger everyone around them I cannot ignore, I’ve lost many friends and family to people like this.
NOTE: video is a trigger warning. Lots of screaming and smashing, I’d say domestic trigger warning for people who have dealt with alcohol abuse. Don’t have a photo of his employee as I think that kid honestly just needs help and to go to rehab. Again apparently. I’d post the videos of him drinking and driving while texting and speeding and high on weed with 2 other passengers and an animal on multiple occasions but I think that’s better kept as evidence for the rcmp if I do follow through with a complete report and I don’t know if that’s appropriate for a page like this.
Be safe out there on the roads everyone. And careful who you hire as a contractor
If this post is NSFW let me know and I’ll tag it as such.
Thanks for reading , sorry for any typos as I wrote this quite distraught from waking up from ptsd of being around this kid. hope this saves a life truly and honestly. From what I saw being around that it’s only a matter till something catastrophic happens around this individual. Btw crack head is not a derogatory throw. Quite litterally has smoked crack and most likely needs his brain checked out.

Hi, I am married to a Canadian and we want to move to Vancouver Island, where he has a house. I am born and raised in Germany. Even though I have an English master's degree (M.A.) and international work experience, and currently work for a government entity in Germany in Human Resource Development, I don't feel very needed by the B.C. job market. And to be honest, I cannot really figure out if someone would hire an immigrant with average skills. Don't get me wrong I am not looking for a dream job, just something that pays the basic food bills and insurance for the time being. I am a bit overwhelmed figuring out where to start. However, most of my jobs where sort of assistant jobs where I had to be reliable, creative, and just a nice person. Criteria I easily fulfil. Not academically smart or hard skilled. Any good stories, tipps & tricks?
Edit: Dear community, I cannot thank you enough for your incredible support and warmth. This is unbelievably helpful for me and motivates me to not be so afraid of leaving my bubble and becoming an "immigrant".
