Maple tree out back of property looking all beautiful x
I'm moving to BC in a month and was wondering if anyone knew of a quick summary of traffic rules that were different than other provinces. I already know about the flashing green light, but I was wondering what else there is without slogging my way through the whole driver's handbook searching for differences.
Okay, so I've got a little more figured out now. I am not going to act like I am 100% on any of this, there's still a lot of research I will have to do before making any moves. This is not me giving advice at all, but some people wanted an update so this is only me doing that.
In my regional district I do not need a business license to run a home occupation (we live in a rural area). I imagine I will need one at some point but we will figure that out before we start any selling, even if we dont need one right away. The zoning says a home occupation is allowable if it is only operated within my residence and is secondary to my residence. I own my home but rent a lot so I had to obtain written permission from the landowner, they are fine with it so long as it is fully in our home.
Now, because it is a raw food product there is probably a lot of regulation regarding that so I still have a lot of reading to do. I will be contacting the health authorities to see what that looks like.
We aren't selling mushrooms any time soon and won't be doing that until we get some definite answers, but this does make me feel a lot more confident that this is a viable option for us.
I wonder who got paid under the table in Vancouver Sun to publish a praising article for the TikTok company? Tiktok company is clearly a danger to security, as was announced by the US, Canadian and other Western countries. Yet, here we are having Vancouver Sun publishing an article that praises TikTok and how it provided jobs to Canadians. What do you think? Is it a foreign interference or just a naive publication by Vancouver Sun ?
I’ve got a quote for Inmode radio frequency (RF) treatments: 4 sessions (one per month) for $1350, plus one Ilux session ($250) added on the 4th month. The total cost is $1600, including a follow-up.
Does anyone know of clinics offering better prices for either Inmode RF or Ilux treatments? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Here’s a breakdown of the pricing:
Treatment | Price | |
---|---|---|
Inmode RF (4 sessions) | $1350 | |
Ilux (1 session on 4th month) | $250 | |
Total | $1600 |
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
Is this normal? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth making a claim for my share of our strata insurance deductible after a pipe froze, burst and damaged multiple suites (not mine, thankfully.)
The adjuster repeatedly said I had to fill out a "proof of loss" form although I had not lost anything. After I paid $50 to have the form verified, she no longer seems to need it. She also said if I make a claim, my premiums will go up 5-30% if I make a $300 claim, even though paid a special levy to ADD pipe insulation to try prevent future issues. 5-30% is a pretty big spread! When I asked for a more precise figure, the adjuster said it was actually a sales question. (Uh, OK, why didn't she do that when I first asked?)
"Sales" said the added insulation was just "repairs" so didn't count and she couldn't estimate the premium increase more precisely because "it depends on the type of claim, severity etc." -- info they obviously have! WTF?
Seems like a culture of doing the minimum, throwing out pat responses and hoping you are too intimidated to question them. I can't imagine what it would be like dealing with them if it was anything more complicated. Has anyone had an insurance claim with adjusters who were actually helpful and efficient?
I was wondering if this is the normal operating procedure for undersized reservation vehicles, or if it depends when you show up?
If you reserve is there a chance you get sent up top and if so when during the reservation window (earlier, later) is it best to try and arrive? Does it vary by sailing depending on what % is reserved?
Thanks in advance for sharing your experience, especially if you travel frequently.
Hey, wondering if anyone knows when Indigo is having or when they had their discount weekend? I try to catch it every year for Christmas presents but I think I missed the emails. Thanks!
I've tried health gateway, and the specific lifelabs site, but there's nothing at all available. It was an inflammatory marker test, and I was told I would be able to see the results on lifelabs. I got my bloodwork done on Monday, usually it doesnt take this long. Should I call them to ask why I can't see my results?
Planning to go to Sloquet Hot Springs in Few days, where can I check the status of FSR? Also, are hot springs open at the moment? I don’t want any big surprises on the trip
I've been trying to get some private insurance to help cover some of the costs my work insurance and Pharmacare won't cost. Problem is, all the insurance plans I can find that cover preexisting conditions have such tiny annual maximums, they only wind up covering a couple of months of prescriptions.
Is there any option for a plan with a decent annual amount? (aka somewhere in the 10000 dollar range, or a bit lower, but more than a 1000)? I don't care if the percentage they cover is low, I just need it to cover enough to last.
My daughter just arrived from school when this happened. Thankfully nobody got hurt.
I can’t believe this same package is $21.99 at Thrifty’s and Save On.
