Hi, investigating properties in the mission/abbotsford/chilliwack/aggasiz area, wondering if anyone can offer recommendations on agents who are prepared to offer cashback. Wife is an agent but from out of province, so we pretty much do the legwork ourselves.
What would you change, if you could, with your strata and the strata management company?
Where can I find information related to the safety standards that owners and operators of apartment buildings in BC are required to meet (lighting in hallways, smoke alarms, etc.)?

As winter is approaching and my car is now more than 1 year and a half old do I need to change my wipers?
And also my windshield fluids? I thought my fluids is ok from the service completed from the summer.
Hey,
So I’m from England and I passed my driving test here in August 2024- so I have technically had my uk license for almost 4 months! I am moving to Vancouver in January, and EVERY job I want to apply for and the jobs I really want, state I HAVE to have a BC 5 license. They do not accept restricted licenses :( I have emailed ICBC, and they said that the Uk is a reciprocal country (I know), but because I don’t have 2 years driving experience in the UK- I would have to enter the bc graduated licensing program?!? From my understanding, this means, I would start with an ‘N’ license? And have to drive for 24 MONTHS!!!! Before I can get my bc class 5?!? Are they any quicker routes than waiting 24months? What about getting a license in another province? Or is it all roughly the same? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much.
I'm very interested in Christian mysticism and I'm also an anarchist, and I just discovered the Doukhobars and have been going on a bit of a research rabbit hole because they relate to both of the interests. I know it's a slim chance, but I was wondering if there are still any practicing Doukhobars and if there would be a way to get in touch with them? Or if anyone with ties to the group or even just a lot of knowledge on the subject would like to talk to me and possibly answer some questions?
On HWY 1 (especially east) Holy moly it's worse than ever before. They don't even try to be in the right lane. The right lane is now the passing lane. On the daily seeing dump trucks going 60-80kmh in the left lane just chilling.
I've owned a small home in the Okanagan for 6 years now and have received the basic grant every year.
But now I may move in with my girlfriend and just rent my place out.
What would be the cut off date for when I would still qualify for the grant?
Would I still have to be living there as my primary residence at the date of grant application?
Or does the date coincide with another date/year end.
Thanks
Trying to get my 65 y/o mom on income assistance while we wait to hear back on her CPP application, but with the Canada Post strike who knows how long it could be before I hear back.
Does anyone know what the requirements are such as ID requirements? All of her ID is expired and she needs I/A asap. I can’t find anything online on requirements other than “ID and SIN number” which she has, just concerned about the expired ID.

A new study by Statscan shows that Canadian born Chinese and South Asian individuals (both men and women) outearn their white counterparts.
The study shows that the higher cumulative earnings of Chinese (+20%) and South Asian (+15%) men (relative to White men) can be mostly or entirely accounted for by their higher education levels and their overrepresentation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields of study. Conversely, the lower cumulative earnings of Black men (relative to White men) cannot be accounted for by differences in sociodemographic characteristics, human capital, job characteristics or work histories.
So it (not shocking) seems to be at least for Chinese and South Asian Canadians - their increased education and interest in STEM leads to higher earnings at a population level. However, when you compare a Chinese Canadian bachelors degree holder vs a White Canadian bachelors degree holder, this earnings advantage disappears.
