RWS Callisto project

I am going through the hiring process. I am from Italy and they stated they pay 10USD per hour. This is very little compared to other companies in the same field. However, I was wondering if anyone is already working on this project, how many tasks are expected per hour? Thanks!

Working dad struggling to make ends meet.

I'm looking for some work that I can do from home to supplement my income. The price of everything keeps rising and I am finding it hard to keep up. I have a 2 year old and need to do something to improve his quality of life. I have applied to night jobs and weekend jobs but an ideal situation would be something I can do online. I'll do pretty much anything no matter how boring or tedious it might be. I'm an English grad and I'm good with numbers/data too. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Is there a program that will monitor my activity (including emails sent) and type up documentation on my daily activities?

My work asked me to type up my daily activities for the next month. It’s due to an employee in my department raising doubts that we have work on our plates, because she talks too much. I’ve got a lot on my plate and can’t track everything I’m working on without adding another half hour minimum to my day. If there was a AI program that would just summarize what I do, I could edit it from there and turn it in.

Does anything like that exist?

On camera requirements

My team recently transitioned to a new manager hired outside the company. My previous manager was lenient and allowed us to either be on or off camera during small group meetings. Of course being on camera for certain meetings with certain senior leaders. Now we have received a new manager and she continues to send email reminders of being on camera at all times? I understand the company puts it in place for cameras during trainings but the organizer of the meetings normally request on camera participation if they would like for everyone to be on camera. Is there any right for our privacy? I understand WFH may not have that luxury but I mean it’s a little too much and a power trip if you ask me.

Pacific Transcription is hiring

Pacific Transcription/Sterling Transcription is hiring (same company, just different regions). Hourly rate depends on how fast you type as it's paid per audio minute. You definitely need at least 80wpm for it to be worth your while. They are currently particularly searching for applicants located in the Australian timezone, but will consider other locations as well.

Freelance from Europe for US, taxes?

Hello everybody,
I'm curious to hear about your experiences with taxation as a freelancer in different countries. I'm considering a freelance job with a US institute and work from one of the southern European countries. However, I don't know about how much of my earnings would actually end up in my pocket.
Let's say this institute offers a steady payment of 4000 euros per month. Can anyone give me an idea of how much I'd receive after taxes? I know that taxation is often progressive, so the exact amount can vary from person to person, but I'm just looking for a rough estimate.
Thanks in advance for any insights you can provide.

Remotask input from anyone who signed up recently?

So I passed the rating portion but failed the English exam back on April 2nd. I've set up everything and joined the slack page but I have not been assigned any tasks or projects. Is it normal to wait weeks until getting any work? My task que just shows empty. Thanks for any input.

Unpaid Internship in Lucid Achievements/Lucid Strategies, Is it worth it?

I applied for General VA on their website and almost forgot it for it was quiet sometime now. I am new on VA industry but I have an idea how it works for I have done a lot of research about it.

Today, I just got a call from them telling me that I am qualified for their internship, however, since they are the one who are gonna train me, they told me that IT IS NOT PAID. They also said that since it is training, instead of 8 working hours it would just be 4 hours each day so about 20 hours a week. I won't get paid but if I pass the internship that's where they can give me certificate and MAYBE, just maybe, they can find me my own client. I WON'T GET COMPENSATED FOR THE NIGHT SHIFT AND MY WORK AS AN INTERN BUT I WILL GET AN INCENTIVES IF THEIR CLIENT GAVE THEM INCENTIVES OR BONUS.

So I told myself, why not try it since I will be trained and I don't have to pay for the training. I said yes and they said that I can start this coming Friday, but I did not agree yet. I just wanted to make sure first about the contract and the details about it, and after careful reading, I don't think I will be paid and get hired after training...

I need your opinions, suggestions, and help about this. I am not sure about it because they haven't discuss about the incentives/bonus in the contract either...

Heads up on email address to work as chat moderators

For anyone who would like to work as a chat moderator (adult content like Cloudworker, Remotely4Your etc.), if you have a Yahoo email address it may lead to technical issues. Not sure why and if it is only Yahoo, but Gmail seems more reliable.
I have been told this by a Cloudworker supervisor, solved my problem using Gmail, and also I tried to apply with e-Moderators, unsuccessfully, getting a 'this email doesn't exist' while using my Yahoo mail. I tired with a Gmail one and my application went through.
Now, I know that many people recommends Gmail in general and mine is not the greatest discovery of all times :), but I thought I wanted to share.

Suggestions where to look for online work for someone who only has restaurant experience on their resume?

Aside from wanting to get out of that draining industry, my health issues have made the idea of working from home the best possible option for myself but I have no clue how to find entry level remote work.

I'm currently moved back into my parents place in new york but I still have a florida ID and i've stumbled upon some issues with remote customer service jobs that are looking for new york residents for example, but I can't change my ID because that would cancel my ability to continue to be a dependent on my dads insurance until the end of the year.

Anyone have any suggestions of how to refine my search, or jobs that hire out of state people or should I just limit my indeed search to remote entry level work in florida even though i'm crashing at my parents place while I get on my feet?

Susavion Biosciences??

Bear with me this is a long post

I had someone reach out from a company called Susavion Biosciences (Remote, Arizona) via email saying they saw my resume on ZipRecruiter and they think I’d be a good fit for a Data Entry Clerk with pay starting at $28. $25 during training then $28 after. I didn’t have to do any virtual or in-person interviews.

I was given information on the company and benefits.

Today, I received an email saying “Congratulations I’m a part of the team….

….Regarding the procurement of your equipment, we regret to inform you that our recommended vendor no longer accepts payment via the company’s credit card. Instead, they have revised their payment method options, which now include Zelle, Apple Pay, PayPal, Cashapp or Venmo and these payment methods is not in line with our company's payment method. However, as a deviation from our standard practice, Susavion Biosciences will cover the payment for your equipment by mailing a check to the address you provided on employee form…

…. To summarize, the company will send you a check, and you are expected to utilize the funds from it to acquire the necessary equipment. List of equipment needed will be provided upon acceptance.”

That being said do you think this company is legit? Has anyone ever experienced anything with this company?

I’ve found some things on the company and looked at their site but idk if this is real. I mean, it can’t be that easy right?

Feeling drained after work each day

I have social anxiety and my job requires me to talk on the phone, call people, attend a few meetings and meet a quota. Usually I pace and walk in my room anxiously before a meeting, it’s exhausting, and I always am happy when it’s over. I dread the job but I’m a new hire. I haven’t been meeting these expectations and I feel drained I’ve been working overtime without pay and I just don’t like it. Feel like for the low salary, the work is draining. What should I do?

Search Quality Rater with WeLocalize

I applied for this online job called a Search Quality Rater. I've gone through the initial questions and an assessment of your English comprehension. Now it wants me to complete multiple hours of training then once that's done take an exam. Then I'm assuming once you complete that, they decide if they want to hire you or not. I also haven't talked to a single actual person yet, it's all been automated. I do want to add that I have not given them any critical information about me, but I do know that after the exam, they will want my social.

I'm wondering if anyone else has gone through this process and it went fine? My fiancé lost Medicaid so I would like to try something to help bring in some money on the side. It's only 10-19 hours a week and $15/hour so I'd be perfect as I could set my own schedule without really interfering with me staying home with my daughter.

I guess I really just want to make sure that if I go through all this unpaid "training" would it be worth it?

Has anyone here worked for the company SteadyContent and in addition to are they legit, can you share your experience with them?

I recently applied for a role at SteadyContent and though I'm not thrilled about the idea of working for a content mill that advertises on their own website a rate of .05 cents a word, I am still willing to consider it. I just want to make sure that they're legit because I've run into three scams minimum in one month of job hunting alone give or take.

Any similar platform to Virtual Latinos?

Are there any alternatives similar to the virtual latinos platform, for those who don't know VL is a platform for virtual assistants to find part-time or full-time VA jobs working for US clients.
Jobs are paid pretty well considering other platforms and options out there. Ranging from $6 - $12 an hour. For specialized positions, it goes even higher.

Throughout my research I found only platforms that are considering $5 super great hourly rate, VA should be happy with, which is a shame.
So I am looking for a platform offering VA, customer service, sales positions, and similar for a decent hourly rate.
