Hi folk, I have twice in the span of 5 days I have 2 attempted scams selling on Facebook marketplace and thought I should warn anyone out there who might fall for this. First I am contacted and asked if I will take an e-transfer. When I agree they send what looks like a real link but is as you can see a jinterac account, not Interac. If you follow it, it will take you to a page asking for your password and username. Be careful out there. I played with them for a while just to keep them busy, but twice in 5 days?

Shaw recently went by my mom’s place and installed the new gear for Ignite TV, gave her next to no training on how to use it, and dipped.

My mother is severely technologically impaired.

I got a couple pictures of a GFL truck that had run over a couple of the new bike lane bollards on Caledonian. He knew he had hit them but proceeded to drive away after getting the bin. Obviously going to report it to GFL but I’m not sure where I should report it to the city. Any thoughts?

Hi r/VictoriaBC, I will be visiting your fine region in a couple weeks. My partner and I are both immunocompromised and so we don't dine indoors. We are happy to get takeout, but would also love recommendations for good restaurants that are still doing outdoor dining in November. Luckily, we don't have significant dietary restrictions and love all kinds of food. Please let us know if you have any tips!

I have had enough of Telus and Koodo. Their price increase every 6 months is not worth it anymore. Public Mobile also has awful customer support. I am thinking about switching to Freedom Mobile where they have a price guarantee. Can any current or past Freedom Mobile customers give some reviews on:

1. What their coverage is like in Victoria, BC as well as Vancouver?

2. What their customer service is like?

3. If you were a Freedom Mobile customer but left for another company ... why did you leave?

4. Anything else I should know about Freedom Mobile?

EDIT: New additional question. So I read that Freedom roams on other networks like (Telus, Rogers, Bell) if it is outside its own coverage. Why are people experiencing poor coverage (phone reception) then if they are able to roam on other networks?

Asides from groceries stores, what's the breakdown of where your food comes from and why - I'm talking CSAs, bulk services like OHM, etc.

I'm mostly plant-based, so meat places are less interesting to me.

It seems like every single grocery store has been completely sold out of pumpkins since yesterday, and many have resorted to selling those "warty" green ones because orange ones are not available.

I haven't seen this happen in past years. Did something happen with the pumpkin harvest this year?

And does anyone know who still might have pumpkins for sale?

I have never loved gym chains like this, so I already feel pretty reluctant to join, but the hours and location is most convenient for me.
